Keep in mind he went out there without a life jacket knowing the conditions. I think it was a tragic accident and they took advantage of a woman not from this country. They tried to paint her as some crazy unhinged person because she was trying to get her cat back rubbed me the wrong way. I would do anything to get my cat back if someone was holding her hostage.
Didn't fly well with me either. It's not like she was doing it for some item - it was a living being and she probably liver the cat. I'd also lay in the driveway and scream if that's what it took if somebody would try to take my dog away.
No experienced boater would go out (1) in bad conditions (2) without a flotation device on and secured (3) without checking the condition of his kayak / boat. Vincent was old enough to know all of this. In addition, apparently the missing plug had nothing to do with the overturning of the kayak - waves too high and water came into the boat!

There’s a video on here that I can’t find right now but these two young girls were missing, close friends and both under the age of 10. Family and friends spread out to places the girls were known to play in hopes of finding them. The dad of one of the girls finds their bodies, both have been r@ped and k¡lled. He calls police and the other searchers to say he’s found them. As the one that found them he is taken to the station to answer questions about anything he may have seen when he discovered them. Is it because you’re the one who put them there? You were mad because you’d told her not to go there, weren’t you?” They proceeded to break him down over the next 20-something hours until he’s confessing to whatever the police say. The look on his face as he’s signing the confession, he doesn’t even look like he knows where he is anymore, he just wants it all to stop. I think he was even jailed for a while until they finally found DNA on the girls that belonged to someone else. Everyone involved in that interrogation should be ashamed of themselves for how they treated him, taking advantage of his mental state to force a “confession” out of a heartbroken father who hadn’t even had a moment to process his loss.

We do, it’s called your right to an attorney. All you have to do is request an attorney and they can’t ask you any more questions.
What we need is to stop creating legislation to protect people from themselves. This world is full of idiots because we’ve legislated away Darwinism.
European countries have banned interrogations like this one, and as a result, they have much lower rates of wrongful convictions.

She's completely delusional 🙄 Her son may have been terrific, well loved, etc, etc, etc, BUT, he was also irresponsible and it was his actions alone that caused him to drown that day. No one killed her son. No one other than his own carelessness.
She needs someone to blame, even though it was his actions that caused his demise.
She is willfully ignorant.

Plus alcohol. Amazing.
Agree to above, especially alcohol. He was experienced at kayaking. He’s responsible for himself. It’s not like she hit him in the head or used a weapon to make him tip over into the water.
Maybe if he had a life east the outcome would have been different. 😢
Saw this covered someplace else , they claimed she INSISTED they go.🙄🙄
wtf is a no life west 😌
I think it's ridiculous that she served time for this. There is no way to prove without a reasonable doubt that she intentionally murdered him.
Yeah they took advantage of her English skills to put an innocent person in jail. They are disgusting and lazy cops.
In the so called justice system you are presumed guilty until you can prove beyond all doubt that you are not.
She little challenged too due to language, understanding of everything. These cops are sad.
Didn't fly well with me either. It's not like she was doing it for some item - it was a living being and she probably liver the cat. I'd also lay in the driveway and scream if that's what it took if somebody would try to take my dog away.
You should wonder why she pleaded guilty!
I had an investigator tell me once when someone has a loved one die unexpectedly, they always look for someone else to blame. They cannot accept their loved one could do anything so irresponsible or permanent to themself.
I feel sad that Vincent lost his life, but condemning Angelika to years in prison is equally sad. Two wrongs don’t make a right and punishing her for his negligence and poor decision making is very disturbing. The police and Vinny’s family ruined her life.
Two last things: 1.) I kayak quite frequently and I’ve done so multiple times with the drain plug out and in bad weather (as it can change quickly). I have never done that without the use of my life jacket and added alcohol into the equation either.
2.) As multiple people mentioned her personality quirks or behaviors, I believe she wasn’t very emo the evening of and day or so after his death is possibly due to shock and/or denial. As far as getting bent out of shape over the cat, I believe any animal lover could become enraged over someone withholding their beloved baby from them.
Agree with everything you said, however , the cat not "hers" , they adopted it together, so it was "their" cat... it's like having a child, it's not one person's
I believe they both wanted the cat... I have cats, so I understand, but I would not lie on driving shouting, that is very odd behaviour
We just lost our 13 year old dog. My husband & I are devasted. I don't know how either of us could bear with losing custody of her if we ever split up. We'd share custody. We've been married over 40 years & are in our 60s, so we could be adults about it. A young woman overreacting is not odd to me.

He is of course absolutely devastated and grieving, but wants to help the police find whoever did this.
Questioning quickly turns from “what did you see?” to “how did you know they were there?

I don't know about you, but if I am going out in a kayak, I check my own plug and paddles. She is innocent.
Man O Man did this young woman get railroaded!!!!! I feel SO sorry for her. She was not originally from this country, she did not understand our laws, she apparently didn't realize that no matter what the cops say YOU NEED A LAWYER...this is a travesty of justice...I'm glad she is out, but this will follow her for the rest of her life...
She admitted she wanted him dead
It could not be more obvious that this was a freaking accident and that "Vinny shots" wasnt prepared to be kayaking that evening.
When there's money involved a spouse might get killed or wrongfully accused or proven to be a killer.
Vincent"s recklessness cost Anglina her freedom. RIP Vincent
I hope she gets that insurance to help her start over

Right. She deserves some kind of compensation.
She shouldn’t have pled guilty…. That’s upsetting
I suspect, coming from a different country with a different legal system and not being a native English speaker had something to do with it.
I watched this when it first came out during her trial. I still question the interrogation techniques used?
Someone lost their life. RIP Vincent ❣️
It’s the fact that she was happy he died so tragically. Like wtf. If you wanted to be free so bad, LEAVEE! He wasn’t holding you hostage
No life jacket was a mistake already, bro was lil arrogant also and ignore all warnings... more if his own fault ,
I think the police tricked her into a confession …what would her motive be ? To be alone ? Also I love my dog I would lay in a driveway for her lol
Lol my exact thought. I would 100% freak out if someone was withholding my dog and would probably lay in a driveway to get her
Ditto. I would fight tooth and nail if someone tried to withhold my dog from me. She is my baby!
Finally a new episode😀🎉 watching from 🇿🇦
Thank you 48 hours I needed another episode to enjoy 😊 ♥️
it's an old one though :(
It’s enough for me though 😊
I’ve never heard of this case before ❤️
Yea I've seen this one aswell@@joeriley1955
Idk, it is kinda of weird when people watch crime stories as some sort of TV show. Also these emojis are so inappropriate.
"You live by the sword you die by the sword" is the phrase that comes to mind here, that poor girl was innocent
I don't think she's innocent and the prosecutor needed to drop charges when they thought they couldn't win instead of bullying/exhausting her into a plea deal just like the police exhausted her into a false confession. I feel bad for his mother, but the ME didn't do her or his friends favors by calling it a homicide when that wasn't proven. An accidental death seems more appropriate. Do not talk to cops without an attorney under any circumstances.
The fact that she was happy he died is enough for me. She is evil and deserve jail, she had evil intentions by pulling that plug out and she clearly admitted that.
A lawyer should be mandatory.
Right after they read you the Miranda Rights, you ask for a lawyer and stay silent. Why can’t people do this is just insane to me.
utilize your right to remain silent and ALWAYS have a lawyer present during an interrogation.
