He called the cops on her every time they got into an argument, once wanting to have her arrested because she “poked his chest with his finger while yelling at him”. There’s a great article in “The New Yorker” about the awful relationship they had leading up to this. There’s a LOT of abnormal stuff that went on but all of it pretty much lines up with what your first opinion of the husband would be: he’s a controlling, manipulative, unpleasant coward with a tiny, tiny PP.
They couldn’t prove it because his now ex wife lost her memory on that night. I agree, it’s ridiculous! Now he is a cop in the next city over from the one he was fired from. SMH

Everyone knew that her having been shot was under suspicious circumstances. That incident wasn't investigated in depth or any further than it needed to be since his grandfather was sheriff. I'm sure many in the department and the community felt he had something to do with her being shot. There would probably not have been much investigation if he had "found" the bag while he was moving. He and his superiors would have been like oh he didn't realize that was the bag in question or something like that. He basically got away with attempted murder!
OMG, I was married to a cop who was a lot like this man. Fortunately, he didn't take things quite as far. But the gaslighting, the reputation smearing, and the lack of understanding basic morals and ethics was really surprising to me. I was threatened but I left him anyway and moved to another state. He stayed a state trooper and carried on the same way. He is currently on wife number 3. Obviously I don't look at cops the same way anymore.

One thing I’ve learned from body language and behavioral study is that when someone is scared for their lives or the lives of loved ones they don’t give a detailed description of anything when calling 911. All they do is maybe say what happened. Get straight to the point because they want someone out there NOW and can’t even think about details during the call. This guy gave his itinerary for the afternoon before even getting to the point. I wouldn’t believe him if his tongue was notarized.

The state should have taken over the investigation. Every state is different,but all have some form of jurisdiction authority if there is a conflict of interest for a department. And when it’s not done properly the feds can get involved.

Cops who stand up for what they believe is the right to do often are so badly bullied and mistreated by everyone in that precinct... it's sickening...in worst cases are even threatened with physical harm to them or that of their loved ones. Do not underestimate the power of that blue line and worse the nepotism that goes with it.
I personally believe that if a member of a police department needs to be investigated, a separate entity (whether another police department or otherwise) should be given the responsibility of the investigative process. Too much risk of bias if it’s a coworker, even just basic human psychology will compel a person to be more lenient on familiar people.

The neighbors statement was they heard a loud argument, two shots and THEN he left the apartment. The police never followed up because she couldnt remember what happened and his Grandfather being the sherrif. I saw this a couple years ago. I think she remembered, but not certain how it all ended.
It's very common. First shot they hesitate or jerk and don't hit their mark. I don't know exactly what happened, buy it's plausible she did shoot herself. They both seem like garbage people...
What about the elephant in the room? The detective alluded to the fact that the bag was packed full and that it looked like someone was moving, but that’s the closest he got to asking him if she packed it to leave him? I don’t get it? Because they know that this is the reason for all of this.

What happened to investigation ?. If two shots were heard then there should have been two bullets to be discovered and forensically examined to see whose gun they matched. Where is the video is there anything about attempted murder? Just because the content creator speculates the police officer attempted the murder does not make it true. The content creator might have based the entire video on a conspiracy theory he found on the internet and decided to make a video about it. All we truly know from this video is that this police officer did not return the gym bag to his estranged wife. Way too much conspiracy theories in this video.
The content creator altered the video of the officers finding her. They had to force that closet door open. They came at him with the gym bag because it’s all they could get him with.

The sergeant was not investigating the attempted murder of his wife, and made reference to that fact. The facts are that this sergeant and lieutenant both did their jobs and charged him for what he did, which was lie about having possession of his wife's belongings. The investigation into the attempted murder was handled by another agency. Needless to say this guy should not be a police officer anywhere.
Side note: that door in their interrogation room sounds exactly like my bathroom door. I'm home alone and freaked out 2 or 3 times thinking someone was coming in or out of my bathroom 🤣 🤣

Two shots, a neighbor hears fighting, then gunshots, then sees him running out of the house, then the bag she packed that night that he denied having turns in by his new (ex?) gf, then he admits to have lied about it but STILL he does not even get prosecuted for that! 🤯🤬🤬🤬 And the cop says he ”would have done the right thing” if he had given the bag to him, meaning given it to Jessica and covered up the crime. The police is like a gang with immunity from the state sometimes. And when (some) black criminals ge shot by police, whole citys is set on fire. HI there from NZ. It appeared to me that both officers (particular the 2nd) were running parallel questions because they knew about the attempted murder. I thought they would corner him about the possession of the bag, lock him into a statrment and then challenge him about why the bag was in his possession. I was left with a feeling that they swept the attempted murder under the carpet with a stolen bag and dismiss him quietly. He gets no record and can be hired by another Police Company (business) a few weeks later. I think the male officer was saying I could have helped you fix (The fixer) this ( attempted murder) if you had just told me and not held onto the bag, but they were both really talking about attempted murder.

It sounds like he came from a a fairly tough family - not necessarily violent, but very controlling. BUT, we also don't know much about the family and how much they were aware of. In my opinion that's strong evidence that could have been used against him especially following up with the timing of the 911 call and using his own cell phone gps location history during the time of the incident. There's also possible testimony from his prior partners that would outline a patten of his abusive and controlling behavior and tactics used against them that caused them to be fearful. Additionally the fact that his current girlfriend was the person who handed over the bag he lied about keeping from the victim in his own sworn statement tends to imply she probably also feels some sort of way about what really happened between this guy and the victim otherwise she wouldn't have turned it over to the detectives in secrecy. The bag alone is strong evidence proving that he was actively still trying to cover the truth and hide the fact that the victim was done with being abused by him and she was packed and ready to go. He is completely evil and it's crazy upsetting that he not only got away with almost killing that poor woman but also manipulated the whole situation so he would have primary custody of their children and continues to tell everyone who is complicit with the cover up of this horrible injustice that she is and will always be unfit to be a mother to her own children.. All because he is an abusive controlling psychopath and the last type of person who should be working as a police officer. All facts.

I suspect that they were trying to get him convicted of perjury about it so that they could use it against him in a murder trial. There is a lot of evidence against him. It's essential that they make sure that they have as strong a case a possible to make sure he doesn't get off. Being able to prove that he lied - and having a conviction for it - makes their case that much stronger.

I called the cops on them and they went to the hospital and I went to jail I hit them once each to stop them from trying to come in my house. Based on the comments, people have obviously missed the part at the end - they were going after him for lying about the bag. The reason why they wanted to convict him of perjury is that it shows that he could have lied about anything else in his statement. This would have helped them while building the attempted murder case. This interrogation wasn't about the attempted murder.
Yea, even though it’s pretty obvious by the end, I think it just shows that a lot of people that post comments anymore aren’t even bothering to watch the videos in full before posting. Unfortunately, that’s how a lot of misinformation gets passed around in the online “true crime community” anymore with the surge in its popularity over the last several years - people making up their minds concerning cases before even fully understanding what it is exactly they’re watching and will comment, putting out a lot of opinions on the matter that ends up warping/swaying others’ views that (also) haven’t bothered watching the video in full. For a topic that focuses heavily on understanding the facts and evidence of a case to piece it all together to fully understand what has happened, a lot of people within the true crime sphere is pretty terrible at doing it themselves …
Yup, establishing the time-line and motive after the fact. If he were being honest he would have been more forthcoming even as an untrained member of the general public. Being law enforcement, he should have been more forthcoming initially.

His 911 call had me seeing red flags. How this man was able to get away with attempted murder AND get employment at another police department is beyond my understanding. He should be behind bars serving time but instead he is driving around with weapons and getting paid by the taxpayers. Smdh!

One thing I’ve learned from body language and behavioral study is that when someone is scared for their lives or the lives of loved ones they don’t give a detailed description of anything when calling 911. All they do is maybe say what happened. Get straight to the point because they want someone out there NOW and can’t even think about details during the call. This guy gave his itinerary for the afternoon before even getting to the point. I wouldn’t believe him if his tongue was notarized.

I personally believe that if a member of a police department needs to be investigated, a separate entity (whether another police department or otherwise) should be given the responsibility of the investigative process. Too much risk of bias if it’s a coworker, even just basic human psychology will compel a person to be more lenient on familiar people.

Tried to unlife his wife! Thats why he ran out with the bag, because she had it packed to leave him and he knew the bag (he thought he killed her) would have given him the motive. The neighbors statement was they heard a loud argument, two shots and THEN he left the apartment. The police never followed up because she couldnt remember what happened and his Grandfather being the sherrif. I saw this a couple years ago. I think she remembered, but not certain how it all ended.

The sergeant was not investigating the attempted murder of his wife, and made reference to that fact. The facts are that this sergeant and lieutenant both did their jobs and charged him for what he did, which was lie about having possession of his wife's belongings. The investigation into the attempted murder was handled by another agency. Needless to say this guy should not be a police officer anywhere.
Side note: that door in their interrogation room sounds exactly like my bathroom door. I'm home alone and freaked out 2 or 3 times thinking someone was coming in or out of my bathroom 🤣 🤣

HI there from NZ. It appeared to me that both officers (particular the 2nd) were running parallel questions because they knew about the attempted murder. I thought they would corner him about the possession of the bag, lock him into a statrment and then challenge him about why the bag was in his possession. I was left with a feeling that they swept the attempted murder under the carpet with a stolen bag and dismiss him quietly. He gets no record and can be hired by another Police Company (business) a few weeks later. I think the male officer was saying I could have helped you fix (The fixer) this ( attempted murder) if you had just told me and not held onto the bag, but they were both really talking about attempted murder.

As for Jessica having no memory, that’s most likely due to his family threatening to take all custody away from her. His family is influential.

In my opinion that's strong evidence that could have been used against him especially following up with the timing of the 911 call and using his own cell phone gps location history during the time of the incident. There's also possible testimony from his prior partners that would outline a patten of his abusive and controlling behavior and tactics used against them that caused them to be fearful. Additionally the fact that his current girlfriend was the person who handed over the bag he lied about keeping from the victim in his own sworn statement tends to imply she probably also feels some sort of way about what really happened between this guy and the victim otherwise she wouldn't have turned it over to the detectives in secrecy. The bag alone is strong evidence proving that he was actively still trying to cover the truth and hide the fact that the victim was done with being abused by him and she was packed and ready to go. He is completely evil and it's crazy upsetting that he not only got away with almost killing that poor woman but also manipulated the whole situation so he would have primary custody of their children and continues to tell everyone who is complicit with the cover up of this horrible injustice that she is and will always be unfit to be a mother to her own children.. All because he is an abusive controlling psychopath and the last type of person who should be working as a police officer. All facts.

There is a lot of evidence against him. It's essential that they make sure that they have as strong a case a possible to make sure he doesn't get off.

I called the cops on them and they went to the hospital and I went to jail I hit them once each to stop them from trying to come in my house. Based on the comments, people have obviously missed the part at the end - they were going after him for lying about the bag. The reason why they wanted to convict him of perjury is that it shows that he could have lied about anything else in his statement. This would have helped them while building the attempted murder case.

Yea, even though it’s pretty obvious by the end, I think it just shows that a lot of people that post comments anymore aren’t even bothering to watch the videos in full before posting. Unfortunately, that’s how a lot of misinformation gets passed around in the online “true crime community” anymore with the surge in its popularity over the last several years - people making up their minds concerning cases before even fully understanding what it is exactly they’re watching and will comment, putting out a lot of opinions on the matter that ends up warping/swaying others’ views that (also) haven’t bothered watching the video in full.
