I did after thinking the same thing, and he just says "zzzz welcome to the hah...zzZz" (welcome to the house of Hades). Maybe he wakes up from repeat gifts, but I would guess it's during a story beat of some sort.
Odysseus and Hecate working on going to Olympus is just the in game teaser for the other door when you are going to start a run, where it tells you that you cannot “go up” (yet) This would be very cool if you can choose between 2 types of runs you can go through!
I love the story hints we're getting. Will Demeter ever realize why ppl don't tell her things? Will Hecate ever tell us things? How did Hecate come into possession of Melinoe anyway? Will Hephaestus get offended at Daedalus' work? I would think making a channeling weapon would be a nice challenge for him. But then I would also think nemesis would know she went too far and tbh idk. The Greek gods are not known for character growth. Next time on Hades II!
the dotted line on the healthbar is to indicate the 30% point for the regeneration arcana card, it heals 2 with each room but if you're below 30% you heal double that
It might not even be possible in this version of the game. Boons aren't always avoidable in Hades I, and the only way you can reach him without any is to purge the ones you do get.
@@MetalMockingjayI think it is! I've made it to Hecate with one boon while actively pursuing them (against my will, I desperately wanted them but I'm unlucky lol) so I'd imagine 0 is possible with a bit of luck
@@MetalMockingjay honestly not knowing the boons by heart has been a dramatic kick in the teeth to my Hades abilities. In the first game I cooked pretty much no matter what because I always knew how to use whatever boon, but these ones I struggle because I haven't had the time to experiment yk?
My theory is that by the time you reach Olympus, Chronos will have taken over already, and you will be fighting to the top in order to find him. Regardless of the results, time will be reverted or distorted, undoing both your advance and his.
I would think gifting Hypnos is how you wake him up. Probably get a relic on the first one either way.

The story and interactions between characters.. Voice acting and the dialogues are INSANE.
I’ve been watching all of haelians videos on hades 2. It took me a solid 10 minutes to realize this is retro…
Retromation is actually Skelly’s latest incarnation :P
All the Olympian gods wear armor indicating chronos’ attack. So IMO we will go up there to fight the armies and the end boss will obviously be chronos
8:26 turn into a Pokémon 😂I have never heard you make a sound like that all love thanks for the entertaining videos ❤
I wonder if there's any special interaction if you reach Hecate without taking any boons? Unlikely considering it's a test but would be neat

@@jaxryz_380 That sounds like my kind of run! 😆 I used to carry the Broken Shackle a lot and just focus on collecting gold for Charon items.

The story hints are very intriguing. I'm not sure what or who to believe.
I will always comment for the frog
So what are we attacking olympus for? Is Hecate an ally of Chronos then? Does she need Mel for some kind of evil plan?
Chronos is currently attacking Olympus isn’t he? I assumed she meant going to Olympus to attack chronos from behind
@@Cobrabob oh wait really..? Im mistaken then i thought it was phrased "an attack on olympus" meaning literally attacking the gods
21:45 Hecate is vague about the details; the only thing set in stone is that you are going to Olympus.

RETO!! Are you gonna try the bew ravenswatch update? It literally changes everything and the power cieling is insane!
Thanks grandma :>
