Hey Haelian. You helped me become so much better at Hades 1 when I was first starting off in the series a few years back. I was literally about to quit because I felt so bad at the game. Now, I'm just catching up to your Hades 2 content after I've already cleared 32 Fear for each weapon because you're an awesome creator. Thanks for still being around, bud. Grandpa and yourself are just some delightful folk.
Totally agree nobody makes gaming content like Haelian, especially for Hades and Hades 2. Love your vids if you see this keep going man all the best to ya.
Selene should be another optional equippable, like a weapon, with the star charts used to buff them in the run. The initial upfront cost of getting selene is too high, and too random for their strength levels.
I have discovered that afk chronos is actually possible, though it took me like 10 runs to pull it off. I got revenge boons from Zeus, Apollo and Hera (light smite + nasty comeback triggers origination). The main boon that makes this run possible is coarse grit from demeter as it is the only way (that I know of) to tank grandpa's instakill attacks. Not sure if it would be possible before the 4 god pool was implemented because the damage with this build was barely enough to kill him
IMO hades 1 and 2 have a similar amount of dud duos, but hades 1 has way more broken duos. Hades 1 has mirage shot, hunting blades, sea storm, and merciful end just to name a few and they’re all better than basically any duo in hades 2.
To counter the extreme use of two of those - Mirage Shot isn't nearly as good in it's default state as it is as the never-fixed bug that it is on Beowulf. So that's more specific than it looks at a glance in terms of game breaking ability. And Merciful End is busted but it's also by FAR the most tedious and specific duo boon in either game - having to find both Ares and Athena AND get one of two specific boons for each (Attack and Special) AND the RNG to actually get the duo, AND trying to get all of that before the back half of your run with more limited re-roll potential.
Mirage shots are good even without Beowulf and hera. I used it with Poseidon cast or even other casts. And it is always good. It is 30% more damage which is multiplicative.
@@justarandomdood yeah that's why it becomes multiplicative for your whole cast damage because no other damage would get directly added up with that second cast.
I like using big chop hammer, apollo 2x attack, aphrodite attack, the hammer that makes your last hit hit twice but consumes 20 magick. Feels so good to use, drains magick a lot tho
This build is the best 👌 I think people are turned off by big chop but once you get used to it, it's the shit. You gotta do the mechanic where you attack and then dash in the animation, makes it a lot easier to use
I feel like the Selene boons are pretty underwhelming, I know they most liekly won't rework them completely but I'd prefer them being stronger passives or something
If the duo boons not being good (for the most part) were intended then that would be a rare L for SGG. Duo boons between GODS AND GODDESSES should be strong or at least have great benefits.
I think the biggest offender is hestia and Heph. I get they sorta hate eachother, but how in the world does it make sense for a duo boon - something that requires you to have multiple boon - to be something that supports having no boons? It's idiotic
@@dkznikolaj7013 that’s Hera and heph’s duo but yeah, I get it. It is one pretty much the only way to get 200% attack without aphro so it isn’t completely useless all the time
As specific as some of the duos were, they were things you could build around reliably. Trippy Flare had all kinds of things you could stack. Hunting Blades really made the Blade cast go off. The ones in 2 are lackluster in comparison.
The problem I have with duo boons in Hades 2 isn't that they're worse than in Hades 1, it's that none of them are exciting (of the ones that I've tried)
because it was an epic boon & he would've had to prime the rest of his magic i think. if all your magic is primed then it counts as having 100% and you lose the huntress card bonus
I kind of want to beat 32 heat as long as there are only 2 areas, but I also kimd of want to wait. Especially because I dont like the 32 heat we can get right now.
Yeah I feel I’m never excited to get duo boons in Hades 2. It feels they are relying on hammers to make builds feel more cohesive, which I am not vibing with. I do think that when they add the remaining gods from hades 1 + any new gods the duo pool will get a lot better.

LOL

Grampy mouse-catch speed run vid when?
I honestly agree with the whole duo boon thing; they don’t feel any worse to me, and think there’s some recency anti-bias going on
I found a flick knives build that worked, Aphrodite and a chaos boon on the special, and hook knives worked very well about 1000 damage per dash

Flick knives can dispense two curses are the same time. That can be quite fun.

It's not 30% more multiplicative damage tho, is it?
It's a 2nd shot of your cast that does 30% of damage as your main cast. It's a separate shot.

Seeing Grampy everytime is just cuteness overload 🥰 KEEP DOING THIS PLSS🙏

Just wait for boons update. They will definitely make them powerful.

Because of the lower power level of duo boons I kinda wish they made it easier to target duo boons.

Will try this after work. Puts out enough dps to be viable and still challenging
What's up with the no dash striker boons? Or even dash strike chaos boons?
Wouldn't Beach Ball be good for a dash-strike build?
The problem I have with duo boons in Hades 2 isn't that they're worse than in Hades 1, it's that none of them are exciting (of the ones that I've tried)
But maybe the good/fun duo boon builds haven't been found yet
I LOVE the double dash axe it go brrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Maybe Aphrodite Poseidon should make it so all damage is close and also the splash effect pulls towards instead of push away
athena heffy duo should be: defense is the best offence 1% extra damage for each point of armour you have
Why did he avoid going to 0 mana from boons? Does it stop something from working with this build, thought no mana was needed?
If he was using huntress arcana, 0/0 counts as having full magick which makes the card stop working
If you have primed all magick, The Huntress stops working
How does Static Shock rip Huntress?
because it was an epic boon & he would've had to prime the rest of his magic i think. if all your magic is primed then it counts as having 100% and you lose the huntress card bonus
@@rinseyong5202 Static Shock itself also primes 50 magick, so it would've primed a LOT overall

HELLLLLLLL yeah
The duo boons on hades 2 are much weaker imo

i liked hades 1 approach for the ultimates give us the gods ultimate i don't like sylenes mechanics

I'm about 99% sure that Eris is NOT into that.
