The reason zone 3 was smacking you as hard as it was, was because Eris' 'blessing' was multiplying enemy damage. The plot insists you don't get too far too soon, which. I can't say I adore, but it's certainly bragging rights that you cleared a whole zone with it on ya!
@@Retromation it certainly sets the mood for eris being a pizzashit when you interact with them more down the line: but that's for you to learn about later ;p

Hot take, the blessing of strife is probably a good thing overall. I mean half of the Hades experience is the unique dialogs you have with the npcs. It'd be a shame if you missed out on that just because youre a god gamer lol. That said, it's not a hard break either so if you're really good you get to push on with an increased chalange to match. Scylla "I'm gonna be a star!" literally. A star in the constellation Cetus, that's brighter than the Sun. Which is situated with a number of other oceanic constellations referred to as "The Sea." Cheeky little detail there :))
Oceanus is the second area of the game. In myth, it's the name of a titan, son of Uranus and Gaia; but it's also portrayed as a great world-encircling river. This river lies near Tartarus, Elysium or the House of Hades (depends on the source). It seems the part of Oceanus we see in-game was properly acomodated to be some sort of sewage or spring
Erebus seems to be the name of the area surrounding the very outskirts of the underworld region as there are places called Erebus located in both Hades 1 and 2, its still part of the underworld but is its own area, it is also likely a part of the god Erebus which is darkness incarnate, brother of nyx. Oceanus is a region of the underworld that also meets with the deepest parts of the sea, it belongs to Hades more so as Poseidon does not want anything to do with it, it is otherwise known as the Ancient Cistern, it is likely the bronze and lime encrusted remains of the Titian Oceanus of which the region is named after. According to Narcissus once chronos took over he took the chance at finding a more secluded place that he swam there from Asphodel
These guys do such good games! The fact that the music on the Sirens fight goes with which one of them is up or down is a small yet huge detail. Love it 🥰
@Retromation if it makes you feel any better, the zone behind Cerberus has, ways, to cut to the meat and potatoes of the matter, if you catch my drift
@@RetromationTo be fair, there is a funny interaction that I know of but I'll let you find out exactly what. Pretty fitting for what triggers it though.

In zone 3 (Mourning Fields) follow the golden leaves, it should lead you to a dead tree, press Interact to gain a compass that will show you to the required room rewards (in gold) and optional rewards (in silver).
2:49 When you freeze an enemy they become immune to any further freezing for a period of time. The freeze bar above their head is a countdown to when they'll lose their immunity and you can freeze them again. There's at least one boon that lets you slightly cheat this though.
Played the crap out of the game yesterday still havnt gotten past the act 3 boss, but the Scylla fight is by far my favorite, the music and fight is awesome.
I saw you could check the trees in the middle of the areas, in zone 3, surrounded by golden leaves, not the "next location" trees. Maybe you could give them a look? It kept coming up with E to check whenever you got close to one.
I think an underrated synergy you opened up before the cerberus fight is when you increased the magic cost of your omega attack. It actually helped create more heartthrobs when you spend 30, along with the duo boon got it to where you were surrounded by the things and could tank them into the boss. I wonder if you could prestack them before a boss fight? I didn’t pay attention to see if you carry them into the next room.
When I got there I had a chaos debuff that primed my mana, and the Zeus buff that zaps everything every 5 sec. It actually made the wave fights before cerberus kind of free even tho it took forever. Then Cerberus bit my pretty little head of.
From playing the game to watching your run, I realised that they always tend to give you apollo demeter and poseidon just so you can have the Charon interaction, kinda funny
It is odd that instead of making that new 4 way attack into a + (cross with one end pointing forwards towards the mouse) they turned it into an X which accounts for why one of the path's line doesn't line up with the mouse? Maybe it's this way to balance the 50% dmg buff though a lower dmg bonus would be better to allow for an + pattern that more consistently hits.
The Strife blessing is increase 20% damage received every encounter. i wonder is this a early access thing to prevent us from clearing the game too quickly, or is it to make sure the player die a few times so the plot is not too messed up.
I have about 30 hours into this game right now and I never thought about how useful the omega attack life drain would be. Granted I mostly use the sister blades, but still.
A quick double check cyz I've seen a bunch struggling with aiming. But did you tick off aim assist? It's on by default regardless if you're using controller or M&KB.
A lot of people like the Sirens song because it changes, but came into it thinking about specifically how all the bosses in Transistor work, with one of the most notable being Sybil's fight with In Circles morphing into _n C_rcl_s... That does the concept *amazingly* and varies based on Red's health and the stage of the fight. I'm... A little disappointed but it's still good!
I really hope something changes with the weapons. Imo they are just boring and not impactful compared to like Hades 1. When you get the upgrades on the first it fundamentally changed the playstyle. On this on its just meh and boring..
Imagine if narcissus never gets a face and is actually just a generic faceless robed guy who thinks hes irresistible
That would be kinda Peak
Given that his portrait is a "generic faceless robed guy", but in *FANCY* robe, I wouldn't be surprised if this was the final design :P
