Dodge is and will always be the benchmark for drag and street racing. They come out ready to run like it or not.
Damn. I love the look of that refrigerator on top of the engine. It made 9.70 look easy.
I would love to see the Whipple Hellcat go up against a Magnuson Vengeance TSV Hellcat & a Procharged Hellcat! That 4.5L Whipple is Badass tho!!!
I don't know much about this platform, but from just looking @ their website, Procharger does have the 2016 Challenger SRT (392) 6.4L Supercharger Kit & 2016 Challenger R/T Scat Pack (392) 6.4L Supercharger Kit available.
Wow with the comments... LOL!!! Heads and cam will determine the volume of air that is able to pass through. Not the size of the motor. Great heads that flow and a cam that is able to take advantage of the super charger and heads. Also larger super charger doesn't work as hard to build the same amount of boost as a smaller super charger that would have to spin at higher rpm's. Higher rpm's means more heat. Heat means less power, that's engine building 101. Sooo to sum it up... Big motor, big super charger + bad cam and heads = slower car... Smaller motor, big super charger + great cam and heads = faster car. This is not opinion this is just the science of engine building.

Yeah but with forced induction it a totally different animal. This is just another example of the old saying weight is the cheapest horsepower. These cars are tanks, but with that being said there still is no excuse for such poor performance with such a large unit.

This car was a blast to drive we had about 6*of timing pulled down low and the owners are really cool I'm glad I got to drive it. It shook the tires pretty hard when we gave it some power back car is deff gonna go 9.4x

d lee Big Kleib recorded a stock blower hellcat on spray that made a 9.18 pass back in March. So hopefully this car can at least match that once it's dialed in.
ChemicalNBC hopefully. but putting spray in a roots blower is a compounding effect of massive cooling along with adding air. would be like adding a ton more boost while removing the heat the blower causes..... now if this guy added water/methanol injection for the full run, or a small 35-75hp shot of nitrous when he hit third he would be flying.

A 4,600 pound tank with a full interior and all options running 9.70 at 145 is VERY IMPRESSIVE!

Amazing. When I get my hellcat looking at this or going with Arrington's performance 6.2L block mods (~$5K) which gets you to 1,000 HP with stock blower.

Sorry this is off topic. Hey what's your opinion on Cecil county dragway being not so busy like it used to be. I've been going and it's just not the same as it was 5-10 years ago. Where is everyone going lol? Or they staying at home ? Is there something I'm missing. I love going but when there's barely 25-30 cars in the lanes it's so disappointing. Please respond if ya can because I think you would know better then most what's going on if anything. I think you could get more people to come out to events for sure. Thanks man hope to see you out at the track or an event.

I have yet to see a hell cat in the high 40s yet even with 20k miles cheap as 55k but I was talking about new with the tires,and other mods that car a boat load of money in it
Got a couple on the local new lot right now for under 70. The aftermarket s/c adds 10 at most. So under 80 all day long. I'd keep it stock myself. Nothing on the road can touch it for less.
50K for a used one. and by the time you get it all installed the supercharger and slicks and spacers are more than likely around $20K. And if this was a low milages/new hellcat when purchased, he was looking at $70-80K depending on dealer markup. $100K is pretty accurate.
why not put the Whipple in a 6.4 though.. why take out one SC only to put in another? I mean it's nice don't get me wrong I'm a Mopar guy but that's just odd to me lol
Devin Macklin I think because hellcats come with fully built motors able to to handle super chargers where as scat packs don't come with forged internals able to handle 200+ horse power worth of bald eagles
its $2K to replace the internals, another $4k for the HP90 Transmission upgrade. Another $1K for a high strength Driveshaft and you can stick however much horsepower you want in it.
By the time your done it’s hopefully all going to work perfectly as a hellcat would. Also now you don’t have the resale value of the hellcat. It’s the same thing people would beef up mustang GT to try to equal the cobra. It’s not the same you lose out in the end with resale value
