  • After surveying all the parts for this kit, the team at Power Automedia spends a day-and-a-half installing a complete, bolt-in IRS in this second gen GM F-body. With no cutting or welding required, the PRO-G IRS installed flawlessly, and the only difficulty they ran into was the guy wearing the mullet.
    The PRO-G IRS is available for first and second gen GM F-bodies,Tri-Five Chevys, early Novas, and early Mustangs. For custom applications, there's also a universal, high horsepower kit. Check it out @ goo.gl/bNP80!

    Wish they had spent a lot less time on the interviews, and a lot more time on the actual installation. Clean, strong looking design.

    9 years Later how's The Rear End Holding up? Differential Suspension Brakes any Issues? Did you guys Powder Coat or Paint the Bare Metal Parts that should have been done before install.

    Cross drilled is there to promote cracking. if your running that hard then they will heat checked around the holes; as they become stress risers. Slotted is the way to go still allows out gassing from pads without cracking same for water in the rain.

    I wish I could get this suspension installed on my 1975 Camaro, I have owned it since 1977 . Really want this in my car, it rides a little rough on the rear end.

    Really cool. Marketing marketing marketing needs to be done.
    Can it take hourse power off the line or will those axels break. I saw them break on a Corvette in front of Pennsylvania station in NY. Not a good spot to break down. Lol

      Firebird if your paying that close attention not sure more pictures would help you. They do share the same chassis IE: F-body; still??

    Is there any possibility of modding this kit to work in a 80 Camaro?

    • @bryanhallman8183
      @bryanhallman8183 8 років тому

      +D Fuller F-bodies should be pretty much the same from '70 1/2-82. T-top cars might have some added bracing, so I would call their customer line and ask before ordering.

    Subframe connectors should have been installed with the wheels on the ground or supporting the weight of the car. NOT with the lift under the floor of the car.

    All of this fine engineering and no place to exit your exhaust from the rear of the car... Car will look funny with the rear valance exhaust exits with not exhaust... That is my only negative... I personally don't like to smell exhaust coming up beside my Mustang Fastback doors/windows... For Mustangs you are now forced to have the Eleanor exhaust setup which cost a ton of extra money...

    So what happens if it hooks up and snaps the cv's? Now you have no rear brakes?? This can't be street legal. I know for a fact it's not here in florida

      Well if you hate it that much why dont you sell it to somebody that wants it. That way you have to ever be bothered with it again.

      @@terrybaptist795 I would if i could get my money back and not screw someone like Heidts screwed me! I have videos on it and years of emails with me contacting them. I treat others like I want to be treated and I am not going to screw someone just to recover a little of my money. That's what's wrong with Society nowadays.
