Bringing this back from the dead...do you recall what tire combo you were running on the hellcat? I'm currently on this "fools earrand" trying to build the quickest awd for rcp surface.
I had the same issue, traction rolling it over on grippy tires 😂. Converting it to wide might help a little, but still flawed. Good drift car though 😎 I even tried the dws kit on the back and corner weighed it. The centre of gravity sucks. I have an ma-030 evo that I'm looking forward to playing with. Also have the mr03's, agreed it's night and day.
I solved my traction rolling by fitting narrow tyres on wide rims. When it tries to roll the outside lip of the wide rim hits the ground and stops it. Im only messing around at home though, no idea if that would be effective on a track.
Hello I have awd ma 020 skyline R34 what tires wheel, More grip tire front and rear with hardwood floor. Not box race...wheel what offset narrow...20 deg kyosho... Or only buy another RWD mr 03...... Thanks and much love for the videos..
According to the kyosho website, the wheel offset for the r34 is 1. I have never tested grip tires on hardwood. I only drift on hardwood so you might have to test different compounds until you find something you like. The stock tires are very hard so anything softer than stock will be an improvement. Thanks for the love! Don't forget to hit that like button and please subscribe! I have some more mini z content coming in the new year
Man I have that blue and yellow Mercedes and It won't steer as tight as you are on the track. I haven't done anything all to it yet though so it probably the tires I'd say 🤷♂️
Hi, may I know what is the nut size for locking mini z awd wheels? Thanks I am going to buy aluminum or alloy nuts on line but don't know its size. 2mm or 4.5mm?
I guess it depends on what your doing with. Are you running it on a track? Or just inside the house? If your just running it in the house then just grab grippy tires for the awd
@@musthavewheels just playing on a kitchen floor basically. I tried looking at replacement tires but there are narrow and wide and each has 4 different options for degrees and are the rears supposed to be wide and the front narrow? If so then why do they come in 4 packs? It just got overwhelming
@kghhgkgk lol ya there's a lot. So you gotta look at your car. What model do you have?... some cars run narrow front and rear. Some use wide rear and narrow front. It's very noticeable. In terms of ° (degrees), the lower the number the gripper the tires. I would probably start somewhere in the middle like 30° and see how it goes.

Where do you get your parts?? Those cars look great!
Thanks brother! I usually shop at either A&J Hobbies or BarrieRC.
Great video. Can you put drift tires on them or do you have to get a specific drift model?
Technically, they consider the awd models the drift models. They come from factory with drift tires.
CAN THE HELL CAT BOY BE USED WITH RWD CHASIS

100% tired will make it right up bro👍🏻
Im pretty sure they are meant to be drift cars nor racing cars.
Almost flipped it in the beginning 😂
Oh there was lots of flips in the making of this video😆
Hey! What is the overall dimensions on your track? Nice vid
Thanks! The track is 9'× 18'
@@musthavewheels ok, that´s a good size. Planning to build mine..:)
@@JA-pe5nt nice! Have fun!
Have you looked into the other mini cars? Like the GL racing or atomic cars?
i have but its harder to find classes to race them in. its also a lot more money to get into
Okay but stock right out of the box which is faster awd or rwd
On a rcp track the rwd will almost always dominate

4.5mm is the nut size

@@fwfefrtefdv4719 yes that's correct

I just got an AWD and don't like how drifty it is. Should I get specific new tires for it or just buy a rwd?

@@musthavewheels I have the new blue challenger. You're right, the stock back wheels are wider than the front
did they all come brushed
Most of them are brushes unless you buy the EVO versions. The EVOs do not come ready to run though.
