The most comic accurate portrayal of a Joker we've seen live action. He should've got the role in the new Batman films, criminal he didn't after that performance, would've been PERFECT
Cameron Monaghan was great! His manic performance also carried over into Shameless at the time too as they were being filmed around the same time having not watched shameless until now, I can tell what seasons he started to start playing Jerome, down to the parts where he's literally just rocking his Jerome look
I wish more people talked about Cory Michael Smith’s Riddler performance. He so masterfully expressed the fall to evil as his one spur of the moment act breaks his psyche and makes him go mad, and how that leads to multiple seasons of struggle between his desire for theatrics and his down-to-earth pragmatism
In a decade or two if they ever do a multiversal chapter in the DCU , I could see him returning in a crisis on infinite earths film as batman once again.
I haven't forgotten Gotham. The acting was excellent all around, to the point that it's actually pretty difficult to pick a favorite character. They were all so good! The show is also pretty bloody, but also very fun!
Gotham gifted us the following: the most dynamic Penguin, the best live action Joker (Jerome), the best Zsasz, the glorious mess that is Barbara Kean, one of the best Riddlers, and the masterpiece that is the episode “This Ball of Mud and Meanness.” RESPECT!
Gotham is the most underrated comic book show. I love it! Even season 5 despite easily being the weakest season and filled with issues I think also had a lot of great ideas and themes and honestly was pretty decent. It’s one of the few comic book shows to have a 22 episode template and make it work. It also some of the best depictions of those characters. Robin Lord Taylor will always be my Penguin and Cameron Monoghan will always be my joker.
I avoided Gotham for a long time because I HATE the "lets make a superhero show without the superhero!" gimmick. But I kept seeing appreciation for it as time went on and finally gave it a go and LOVED it. It kinda plays like a if Batman Forever had a prequel show. It's bold and colorful and campy and highly entertaining. If the darker elements of Schumacher's original Batman Forever were retained, I feel like it would play kinda like Gotham. How a network TV Gotham show managed to have more memorable and impressive visuals than many superhero films today speaks to just how lazy a certain superhero franchise has gotten. Gotham itself has real personality and feels lived in and not just a generic setting for the settings. And the character work is largely very well done and satisfying to see.
I feel like the batsuit in the finale of Gotham could have worked if we say it in a more dynamic pose, maybe hid it a bit in shadow, that kind of thing. Seeing Batman standing mutely well-lit against the sky is already a weird look for the character.
I recently found Gotham around 6 weeks ago maybe and finished it a week ago. I loved this show so much. No doubt the best part was Penguin and Riddlers friendship. I also would love to get a comic book continuation of the Gotham series. We need to get a reunion special with the cast sometime. Maybe it’s 10th anniversary. I’ll never forget Robin Lord Taylor’s Penguin
My favourite part of gotham is weirdly when riddler kidnaps the mad hatter and Barbara opens the door literally screaming "NIGMA" it makes me laugh every time
Gotham will always be remembered for one simple reason. Jerome Valeska/Jeremiah Valeska aka the joker. The performance by the actor was amazing and I often seen both Jerome and Jeremiah on media coverage regarding the joker character.
Great video! And I agree about Gotham’s “Joker Problem” however I always had a way to fix the “Joker Problem”. Instead of killing off Jerome they should've let him live and still had Jeremiah come into the plot, so fans of either character still had their version of Joker in the show. Also each of them would’ve had a different reason for obsessing over Bruce. Jeremiah is focused on Bruce because of his friendship with him while Jerome is focused on Bruce because of his hatred. Then come season 5 for, whatever reason, they all, Jerome, Jeremiah, and Bruce, converge at Ace Chemicals and both Jerome and Jeremiah fall into the chemical. Then later we see that only one came out leaving the mystery of who it is since they’re burnt/scarred beyond recognition and their memory could be affected/wiped since they fell into acid. Fans could speculate about which one it is while also leaving speculation about if the other brother is still out there.
Well thought, the idea is similar to something I wrote five years ago on Pup's Alternate final part2 video. If you interested to read, here is the full comment, it gives some idea on how this plotline could be set: Sorry for the long text but this might interest you guys. I got recently a sketch of a strange idea so how Gotham could have done differently with the Joker origin story. This idea would “solve” the following “issues”: - Keep the beloved Jerome alive - Have a Joker with semi unknown identity - (+bonus) Have Jeremiah and Jerome at the same time as both “Half/Protos Jokers” In this scenario Jerome never dies in 4x18 and instead framed again at Arkham with the help of Jeremiah. In a similar fashion than Batman Telltale, Jeremiah would have to spread the insanity gas on Wayne’s Enterprise board employees in 4x20, as they discovered that Jeremiah’s technology can be used with wrong intentions and wanted to keep the generator safe from him, doesn’t trusting Jerome’s brother. As Jerome followers break in, they force Bruce to wear a gas mask, but strangely the gas doesn’t affect Jeremiah, that’s here he would remove is makeup to reveal he was already exposed to it. Most of the events happens the same until Ace Chemicals episode, where Jerome would break from Arkham. Then Jerome wants to disrupt Jeremiah plans in order to throw the city even more the chaos in the city (could have been the part of spreading the chemicals into the river) and at the same time challenging Bruce to stop him, definitely bounding them in a Mark Hamillesque Batman/Joker relationship. Feeling that would compromise is own plan regarding Bruce (Parents re-murder), Jeremiah pushes Jerome into the chemicals. Bruce would attempt to save him but instead we would have the same kind of scene as 4x18 with Jerome’s death, and Jerome would let himself fall into chemicals. Then Bruce and Jeremiah confronts as the same as 5x07, and Jeremiah falls too in the chemicals. Here is the fun part: the twins are extracted from chemicals with severe injuries, one of them as definelty died from severe burns, and the other is still alive but with no brain activity. The thing as their body and face are so severely damaged and they share the same DNA, it’s impossible to know which one survived and which one died, the surviving twin would be called J Valeska instead or Jerome or Jeremiah. 10 years after, Jim would ask him if he was Jeremiah or Jerome while attempting to save is daughter. J would responds a cryptic manner that would suggest he knows who he really is but playing with it in Nolan’s Joker manner, adopting the behaviour of both Jeremiah and Jerome at the same time to maintain the ambiguity. At the end, there is no way to know who is really is J. That all, I’m conscious that this idea is quite a sketch but I find it enough interesting to share it.
The best Joker, the best Alfred, the best Penguin, the best Riddler, the best Zsasz, the best Lucius Fox. I am so glad that I found this show this year. I will definitely remember it. And now I'm going to go watch it again. Except for the finale. I absolutely disliked the finale. I didn't need comicbook accurate Penguin and Riddler. And a lot of things they did, didn't make sense to me. And while we are going to get some Batman shows, whoever they get to be Penguin or the Riddler will pale in comparison to the brilliance that was Robin Lord Taylor and Cory Michael Smith. And yes, Jim and Lee are married in real life. They met on the show, I believe.
I grew up with this show. It was great seeing it evolve throughout the years up until the last episode. I cried watching that finale. As it felt such a heartwarming and amazing journey. Gotham came out at the same time I was playing the arkham games and completely invested in the DCEU. So this show will always be a part of my pop culture life
Sadly the closest thing we got to a Gotham continuation was that mediocre *Batwoman* show... in the sense that Gotham's Renée Montoya came back for Batwoman season 3, still played by Victoria Cartagena. And the Victor Zsasz from that show (played by Alex Morf, that we had already seen in Gotham season 5) was very, _very_ clearly inspired by Anthony Carrigan's incarnation of the character. There are a couple other nods to the show in it, but I don't recommend watching it just for that; or at all. For every good thing in *Batwoman* (solid Luke Fox/Batwing, solid Poison Ivy in season 3, really good Black Mask as the season 2 Big Bad, etc) , there are 10 terrible ones
I remember when this show was on, I did not want to stay late at work because I was catching the bus Gotham that was my show, I was infatuated with this show from beginning to the end. And I also thought that each one of those characters deserve an Oscar, that's right characters, not just the show, the character's deserve an Oscar. To this day, I cannot find a show that keeps me mesmerized like Gotham.
This brought me back. I watched the first season on Netflix when I was 12 and stopped watching when Jerome died. A while later I saw a video essay praising the show, so I started watching it again. I was such a Jerome/Jeremiah/Joker fanboy. There was no doubt in my mind that he Cameron was the best. The only season I got to watch while airing was season 5 (which is unfortunate). Now I’m 18 and I’m happy that we got a whole 5 (more like 4 and 1/2) seasons.
I feel sorry for whatever Batman cast is gonna take these guys roles as the actors did their roles so well, especially riddler, poison ivy, butch/Cyrus gold, panguin, joker/ valeskas
Sometimes I hope some day we can get a continuation of Gotham in the way of a low budget HBO Max movie or something along the lines. I love the show and I think everyone would love to see more of what Gotham's The Dark Knight would have to offer; and maybe then we can finally get that Two Face adaption!
This show was absolute magic. Despite it's 'flaws', the casting was Masterful. It took chances, it was unique - I was devastated when it was cut short. Tragedy.
Gotham was a great show who should have gotten ten seasons like Smallvile. For season 5 they should have went with an entire season of No Man's Land and end it with the finale episode. Seasons 6 - 10 could have been the early years of Batman fighting his rogues. It took risks and it worked and at the end of the day, it's just part of the big multiverse and an adaption
One one hand, I would have also loved to get more *Gotham* ... but on the other, I'm glad it ended before it had time to degrade. I'm one of the few who actually enjoyed season 5, Bane and Nyssa al Ghul were really good as the Big Bads, in a big homage to *The Dark Knight Rises* ... The last episode after the 10 years gap was underwhelming though, wish it had been at the very least a two-parter.
Another thing that was so great about Gotham was the wardrobe, especially for the villains. While they had their casual outfits to go by, there was always something unique to 1up their previous look (i.e. Mr. Freeze, Hatter, Firefly, Scarecrow, Jerome/Jeremiah, Penguin as his dapper self, Riddler, etc.). Never disappointed by these character's appearances.
I would love a Gotham Graphic Novel. There are, however, two tie-in print novels by Jason Starr called Gotham: Dawn of Darkness and Gotham: City of Monsters.
Just discovered this show a couple weeks ago, it is one of my favorite shows I’ve ever watched. I’m so obsessed with the acting and chemistry and I love it so so much. I’m not a very emotional person, but (I’m halfway through season 2) when (SPOILERS) Ozzy’s mom died and when Eddie killed Kristen (NO MORE SPOILERS) I was extremely close to crying. It’s an incredible show, and I’m absolutely in love with the characters. I’ve never been a big Batman fan before, but I am now proud to call myself an amateur Batfan. Not to mention the fact that I am in love with Jerome Valeska. Cameron Monaghan’s portrayal was absolutely incredible and he totally deserves a full Joker role. Sorry for the yap sesh, I’m obsessed. TLDR: INCREDIBLE SHOW. WATCH.
Hey, great video and look back of Gotham!!That’s actually how I discovered your channel way back watching a video you did covering the show. I had saw that not a lot of people talked about it and did deep dives into it . But I’m glad I managed to see the videos you did and glad to see a Gotham video again 🙏
Gotham is great. While I don’t really want to see a continuation of it, but I have a dream to create a Batman tv or HBO Max show where id try to get some of the Gotham actors to reprise their roles, but if I could only choose three, they’d be David Mazouz, Camren Bicondova, And Cameron Monaghan
Totally agreed! Smallville had a Season 11 as a comic series. Think it'll be very cool if we got GOTHAM Season 6 as a comic format. With its own interpretation of the Bat-Family, Owl-Man and even Harvey Dent finally becoming Two-Face. Its like you can't have an established batman universe without Two-Face.
Dont forget Fish Mooney she was interesting for a original character made just for the show even if she played by Jada Pinkett Smith lol. But Gotham wasnt that bad it had flaws and that Batman suit was horrible but it was pretty cool
Gotham's greatest strengths were it's stellar ensemble cast (nearly everyone knocked it out it the park) and it's phenomenal hair/makeup/costume/set design. I'm glad to hear someone else mention that aspect! It's greatest flaws were its writing and, at times, dialogue.
Gothams my number 1 hyperfixation for the past couple of years. Cheesy, yeah. But this show just hits different. Cool costumes, good character development and the perfect balance between fun and drama. I think the great dynamic between the actors are what makes it work so well. Love all the different lower grade villains that aren’t just joker/riddler/penguin. Love love love
This show holds a special place in my heart. It has my favorite versions of Riddler and Penguin. I really liked how they brought Bruce up on the streets a bit. He had a fairly realistic upbringing for his Batman origin story. Cameron's Joker is CRIMINALLY underrated. If I were casting, I'd call him back up to play the role again.
Gotham and the Arrowverse was an amazing experience and while the quality did dip on some of these shows whenever there is a good episode it's such an inspiring and entertaining watch
@@Raiders-qk8ld - *Arrow* had a fantastic first 2 seasons, that were basically a huge Green Arrow vs Deathstroke arc... then sadly it deteriorated in seasons 3&4, and we would have to wait for season 5 to get another great season. The later seasons were very inegal, with 6 being mostly "meh", 7 starting great but ending up mediocre, and 8 being pretty damn good. In the end, *Arrow* was a good show, but the quality of the seasons was too random. It felt really good to have a Green Arrow-centric a couple weeks ago in *The Flash* season 9, apparently the rest of the season is complete crap but that one episode kicked ass.
@@Psycorde - Indeed, one episode left in the last season of the Flash, and so far the 4-episodes Cobalt Blue arc that ends the Flash is garbage. I hope they really put everything they have into the last episode, we already know of most of the cameos, so let's hope they make good use of it. Until the end, the CW had some great DC shows (Superman & Lois, and Stargirl are/were both top tiers superhero shows), but with them cancelling Stargirl after 3 seasons and now it sounds like they won't even give Superman & Lois a 4th season, because "it costs too much to produce, we barely make any money with it, and we want to become specialized in reality TV shows anyway"... Well, it's a real shame. The Arrowverse Barry Allen not even having a cameo in the Flash movie also sucks, since Ezra Miller had a cameo on the TV show, but oh welp.
Camaron Monaghan gets multiple chances to play Multiple versions of the Joker. Even adding a unique spin at the end because Gotham can't actually have the Joker or the Batman.
I think what was so good about it is that it gave very unique and interesting versions of characters. These were really good live action portrayals. Every character from the penguin, the riddler, scarecrow, hugo strange, had a distinict personality, and this immediately became my favorite version of Jim Gordon. He was incredibly good as the lead. No non-sense tough cop was a really good foil for all these super freaks, and he got to be a father figure to bruce, fill the void of his parents
1. Harvey Bullock was one of the police officers in Tim Burton's 1989 Batman, so his appearance in Gotham is actually his second live action rendition, much more comic accurate. 2. Gotham got the reaction it did from the audience because it was marketed and promoted as a Batman series without a Batman, when the reality was-- this series answered the question, "What if Dick Tracy was named Jim Gordon and lived and worked in Gotham before Batman appeared?" 3. I absolutely agree that there are three inarguably standout performances on this show-- with several notable runners up-- Penguin and Riddler, who received the blessings of a five-season character story arc and development, and Alfred, the oft-overlooked manservant of the Wayne's, exploring his character challenge of caring for a PTSD child who would one day grow up to be the world's greatest detective. Notable mentions: Zsasz, a very stylish and metrosexual contract killer. Joker -- who's only drawback was that the series couldn't decide on which Joker origin to go with. Hugo Strange -- BD Wong could have phoned this one in, but the character was so nicely set up, it wouldn't have mattered. I would love to point that out that while it was airing, the only show on television that was even remotely close to the insanity that this show presented each week was Riverdale. And that's a pretty impressive claim. LOL
You're wrong about Harvey Bullock being in Tim Burton's *Batman 89* ... apparently he was originaly supposed to show up in *Batman Returns* but Tim Burton decided to remove him from the script. *Gotham* was his first live action appearance, and Donal Logue did a great job... I agree with you about pretty much everything else though. Anthony Carrigan's Victor Zsasz wasn't comic accurate at all, but the character was so much fun that i stopped caring about accuracy pretty quick. They even paid an homage to his version of the character in the (terrible) show *Batwoman* , in which Zsasz (played by fellow *Gotham* co-star Alex Morf) is clearly based on the *Gotham* version. Like in *Gotham* , he plays a killer for hire instead of just being a serial killer, and he uses all kinds of weapons (including a rocked launcher like in "Gotham") instead of only using knives... he also has a sense of humor, makes little quips, and dresses very stylishly instead of being a complete psycho who is most often running around shirtless.
The first couple seasons of Arrow definitely helped me when I was in a really dark place... When Arrow started, I was constantly in trouble and dealing with mental health stuff, and for some reason, the first season helped me get my life centered properly. Then when season 2 started, I was put in a RTF facility, and when I got out aftsr 6 months in there, the show helped me find a way to re-adjust to being back home. The facility I was in really did a lot to break me mentally, and when I got out, I felt totally hollow and angry, much like Oliver did in the first season, and watching his character adjust to normal life and leave the truama behind, I was able to relate and work through things in my life too... Its one of the reasons I loved that show for the first few seasons.
Give it a few years and the show could easily come back with everyone the correct age they could have the pilot be a recreation of the final ep from Bruce’s perspective in a improved bat suit
Here me out: A sequel movie wherein Jeremiah takes son the moniker of the Joker and assembles the Criminal Underworld of Penguin, Riddler, and Catwoman to take on Batman. Meanwhile, Batman (played by David Mazouz, naturally) has to bring together Robin and Batgirl to stop them. And maybe Harvey Dent becomes Two-Face.
It's just so camp that I can't help but think about it constantly. And I (controversially?) /love/ the twin Jokers plotline and will die for Jeremiah. I just have to imagine Jerome is reanimated after the finale because nothing stays dead in Gotham.
Arrowverse Is Officialy Over I miss flash He is Goat Grant Gustin carried the Show after season 4 If only Gotham Have Crossover with other series Cause He is the batman And Dig should've been Green lantern but he rejected the ring on season 8 of flash And theres Superman Flash But Theres No Green Lantern Wonderwoman Aquaman Cause if Theres Justice Leauge it should've be Wally West As the flash cause In original Justhce Leauge the flash is wally west and barry allen died in the Crisis
Honestly, the Batsuit wasn't even their fault. They had a really good version set up (the one on the S5 posters, where it looks slightly more like the Bale suit) but Warner Bros struck it down, because it couldn't resemble basically ANY of the other live-action suits, so they had to rush out another version in time for the finale. This was just another case of the studios being super strict about what the showrunners wanted to do, and hurting it in the process.
1:10 Maggie Smith said it best, and I'm paraphrasing, but she said at her age (in her 80s) that it felt as though she was having breakfast again every 30 minutes.

I don't care if they never call him the Joker or if it's technically Jeremiah who's supposed to be the clown Prince of crime, Cameron Monaghan as Jerome Valeska is the best on-screen Joker there's ever been. The scene where he storms into that real estate office was some of the best Joker stuff I've ever seen.😂
I agree. I have been reading Batman for years (I’m 35) and Jerome was literally joker from the comics on screen. Also Cameron just happens to have the physical look. Ledger and jack were amazing as joker but they didn’t look like joker in terms of build and other little details

So this show will always be a part of my pop culture life
We need a Gotham continuation with a high budget
yeah
@@marlonclark1896 gotham is bad they moved too fast and show was just awful.
@@mrx-od3ji no it wasn't
@@marlonclark1896 yes the show was just bad,
I remember when this show was on, I did not want to stay late at work because I was catching the bus Gotham that was my show, I was infatuated with this show from beginning to the end. And I also thought that each one of those characters deserve an Oscar, that's right characters, not just the show, the character's deserve an Oscar. To this day, I cannot find a show that keeps me mesmerized like Gotham.
this show was really fun , Shame it never went onto a season 6
They even had ideas for season 7
This brought me back. I watched the first season on Netflix when I was 12 and stopped watching when Jerome died. A while later I saw a video essay praising the show, so I started watching it again. I was such a Jerome/Jeremiah/Joker fanboy. There was no doubt in my mind that he Cameron was the best. The only season I got to watch while airing was season 5 (which is unfortunate). Now I’m 18 and I’m happy that we got a whole 5 (more like 4 and 1/2) seasons.
4 Years? I know it was a while ago, but NO WAYYY, still feels like last year when I saw you and Boba Talks reviewing the season finale and such
I feel sorry for whatever Batman cast is gonna take these guys roles as the actors did their roles so well, especially riddler, poison ivy, butch/Cyrus gold, panguin, joker/ valeskas
Sometimes I hope some day we can get a continuation of Gotham in the way of a low budget HBO Max movie or something along the lines.
I love the show and I think everyone would love to see more of what Gotham's The Dark Knight would have to offer; and maybe then we can finally get that Two Face adaption!
This made me want to rewatch the show again. I miss it so much. Great video!
Gotham is my absolute favorite serie ever, glad I got to talk to robin lord taylor IRL, such a nice guy!
This show was absolute magic. Despite it's 'flaws', the casting was Masterful. It took chances, it was unique - I was devastated when it was cut short. Tragedy.
God Gotham was so amazing I miss it SO MUCH 😭
Gotham was a great show who should have gotten ten seasons like Smallvile.
Until Stupid ratings had to ruin everything
Another thing that was so great about Gotham was the wardrobe, especially for the villains. While they had their casual outfits to go by, there was always something unique to 1up their previous look (i.e. Mr. Freeze, Hatter, Firefly, Scarecrow, Jerome/Jeremiah, Penguin as his dapper self, Riddler, etc.). Never disappointed by these character's appearances.
I would love a Gotham Graphic Novel. There are, however, two tie-in print novels by Jason Starr called Gotham: Dawn of Darkness and Gotham: City of Monsters.
I loved Gotham, best part was butch and penguin blowing up azrael with the missile launcher. 😂😂
Robin Lord Taylor was the greatest part of Gotham. I'll die on this hill.
Just discovered this show a couple weeks ago, it is one of my favorite shows I’ve ever watched. I’m so obsessed with the acting and chemistry and I love it so so much. I’m not a very emotional person, but (I’m halfway through season 2) when
(SPOILERS)

(NO MORE SPOILERS)
I was extremely close to crying.
WATCH.
Penguin in Gotham was so interesting seeing him work his way up from the bottom and ultimately becoming a major villain.
Loved Gotham It was so Dark Loved the cast. I loved the young man and wpman Who played Bruce And Selina
Woman
Gotham was a great show! It must be remembered! I would love to see the actors return to these iconic roles one day, but i won't get my hopes up...
I got to know Gotham like never before, learn new characters and have fun, it really was a treat
Fun fact: the people behind Gotham are also responsible for HBO's Rome. Two underrated shows were the environment is also a character.
is it really underrated if it had a huge fanbase (im talking about gotham) ?
I’m rewatching this series…❤
This show holds a special place in my heart. It has my favorite versions of Riddler and Penguin. I really liked how they brought Bruce up on the streets a bit. He had a fairly realistic upbringing for his Batman origin story. Cameron's Joker is CRIMINALLY underrated. If I were casting, I'd call him back up to play the role again.
I watch Gotham in its entirety at least once a year
Gotham and the Arrowverse was an amazing experience and while the quality did dip on some of these shows whenever there is a good episode it's such an inspiring and entertaining watch
Arrow was a great show too and the flash the first few seasons was great . They get hated on but I’m glad they existed
Gotham yes Arrow no.😊
@@Raiders-qk8ld - *Arrow* had a fantastic first 2 seasons, that were basically a huge Green Arrow vs Deathstroke arc... then sadly it deteriorated in seasons 3&4, and we would have to wait for season 5 to get another great season.
@@randallflagg3700 yeah, it started out great but was turned into CW mush we know now, shame
@@Psycorde - Indeed, one episode left in the last season of the Flash, and so far the 4-episodes Cobalt Blue arc that ends the Flash is garbage.
I hope they really put everything they have into the last episode, we already know of most of the cameos, so let's hope they make good use of it.
Until the end, the CW had some great DC shows
(Superman & Lois, and Stargirl are/were both top tiers superhero shows),
but with them cancelling Stargirl after 3 seasons
and now it sounds like they won't even give Superman & Lois a 4th season, because
"it costs too much to produce, we barely make any money with it, and we want to become specialized in reality TV shows anyway"...
Well, it's a real shame. The Arrowverse Barry Allen not even having a cameo in the Flash movie also sucks, since Ezra Miller had a cameo on the TV show, but oh welp.
Alfred is so badass and the best part of the show
The first season was great. Grabbed my attention immediately. The penguin kid Should have been nominated for a Emmy STG
I’m pretty sure that Gotham is the Smallville of the new generation
I will always love this show. Season 2 for me is by far the best season out of all of them. I dont hate the rest but season 2 is just so good.
Tomorrow, I'm gonna start rewatching this show.
Great show with Robin Lord Taylor deserving of an Oscar as Penguin.
3:16 the practical effects in this show are genuinely incredible, especially the makeup they used for jokers
I'd absolutely read the Batman comic set in the Gotham universe, I'd watch the movie, and I'd read the book. Yeah, loved this crazy show.
Gotham was a masterpiece of the batman universe.
1. Harvey Bullock was one of the police officers in Tim Burton's 1989 Batman, so his appearance in Gotham is actually his second live action rendition, much more comic accurate.
2. Gotham got the reaction it did from the audience because it was marketed and promoted as a Batman series without a Batman, when the reality was-- this series answered the question, "What if Dick Tracy was named Jim Gordon and lived and worked in Gotham before Batman appeared?"
I wish Scarecrow’s adaptation got more love from fans. Definitely memorable
Oh definitely!! One of my favorite shows ever and so underappreciated and deserves all the love and I love that it's getting more attention
my whole life i hated everything that super hero related but for somw reason gave this show a chance
I LOVE IT SO MUCH now i'm getting into DC
literally became the one i despiced but idc i'm happy
all it had to take is to see a couple of good fanarts by my favorite artist
It's alright admitting to having bad taste
My favorite Jim Gordon is bounty hunter Gordon in Season 3
This show was a trip
Jerome Valeska was the best joker after jack nickolson and even didnt have the classic make up just pure acting!
JN best joker in my opinion or tied with Caesar Romero ..go UA-cam - are you a good person by living waters
I think a final season 6 of the Gotham Batman would be alright. Do a villian of the week type of deal.
Ya gotta love Nygmas Drip in this show. especially that fit at 10:53.....
Nice to see you finally get back to roots, Pup.
We need more gotham the villain trailers were amazing
Definitely a vibe, gotham is so atmospheric
Has it really have been 5 years since it have ended....man I feel old 😢
I remember the day the finale aired I was at Culver's when it was on and I was bummed I missed it but watched it the next day
I gotta say: The Balloonman episode was amazing and it was nice to see a new character that felt like an old-school Batman villain.
Love the series. Am currently on my third rewatch.
I'm rewatching it for the second time
Arrowverse Is Officialy Over I miss flash He is Goat Grant Gustin carried the Show after season 4 If only Gotham Have Crossover with other series Cause He is the batman And Dig should've been Green lantern but he rejected the ring on season 8 of flash And theres Superman Flash But Theres No Green Lantern Wonderwoman Aquaman
Cause if Theres Justice Leauge it should've be Wally West As the flash cause In original Justhce Leauge the flash is wally west and barry allen died in the Crisis
Gotham Is Best at Portaying Young Bruce wayne And Jim Gordon As well as the villains in the show
Honestly, the Batsuit wasn't even their fault.
I loved Gotham. Last show I watched from start to finish on TV.
If you are up for more B D Wong as a villain. I recommend watching Mr Robot as he is quite the character in that show.
my heart genuinely pounded when you showed jerome on screen. I almost went into shock. I have so much attached to this character
It got cancelled? Huh, that’s a shame, it was such an interesting Series.
I hope we get to visit it’s World again someday, do you think it’s possible?
I don't think It's possible. BUT I WOULD LOVE a new Batman movie with GOTHAM cast. Just imagine
@@nyx8823 hm, okay, I guess I should’ve been more clear just in case,
By “visit it’s World again” I meant it as in through other mediums,
Still, yours is a interesting idea too.
@@timsimpson6019 I honestly would be happy if they recast Joker in the Matt Reeves Batman franchise to Cameron Monaghan. It'll probably never happen, but a guy can dream.
@@timsimpson6019 I'm 35 too, my dude jack Nicholson in the late 80s looks exactly like the joker. Go UA-cam a video called: are you a good person by living waters
So many nights I just watch the episodes with Jerome because he’s my favourite joker I mean Jerome just look at him he sounds like joker he looks like joker he’s AWSOME like the JOKER like come on man hes awsome
No offence to anyone else but Penguin is actually a genuis and combined with riddler (non is guy, Penguin and is more teacher and learner wish is shown when Riddler is “born”) same as Joker is “born” is great. But Penguin uses everyone and all actions to rule everyone. Survivor and “brain” off villains?
Thing I most remember about Gotham is that it had some fine ass women running around lol
I agree about the Riddler and Alfred being one of the highlight of this show.
That is the worst batsuit I’ve ever seen
Gotham wasn’t perfect and the finale was disappointing but I STILL enjoyed the show
Great cast and featured my favorite interpretations of the characters
