Hi guys! Thank you all so much for joining us on our adventures. In case you want to catch up on our Smoky Mountains series, here's where it all started: ua-cam.com/video/rOLQOLROzKM/v-deo.html
Love your videos. My climb to the top was before they stopped full access. The last 250 ft were the most hazardous climb in the smokies. Very frightening. One mistep could easily cost you your life. My wife did not join me on that trip, but I'm confident she would have refused to climb to the top.
Years ago we made it almost to the top right before it got a little scary. We wish they would open it back up but I'm guessing it has more to do with being dangerous than actual restoration. Sarah didn't want to come up to that area either. It's a little scary!
Hooray! Another wonderful video to watch during a big rain storm this morning!!!! I love your use of great music and the great picture quality in your videos! Eventually I will be an adventurous vegan again - soon I hope!
Wow! So glad we could bring some clear skies to you this morning. Thanks so much for your kind words Freeman! Always happy to share adventures with you. 😊
I live two hours away from the park in south east TN....we hike the smokies quite often I'm actually working on a 900 mile map covering all the trails in the park, we absolutely love the Smokies that is our weekend getaway. I love your videos...her emotions of having to leave says it all....you guys are awesome...hey in case you didn't know when you pay for the skybridge you can ride up and down the lift and cross the bridge as many times as you want all day but yeah it is a bit pricey...I prefer the free nature out on the trails! hope to see you guys out there some day....Cheers!!!
Thank you so much for the kind comments Chris! 😊💕 Being out in nature fills our souls when we start to feel disconnected. It's so hard to leave sometimes. That's awesome that you're working on a big trail map. You never know! We might cross paths some time. Ha! 😁
Hey Guys, I'm sure the two of you are having a great time. I live in FL but was born and raised in Cosby. I'll always remember the Smokies and all the hikes I did. Very beautiful places all around the mountains. Enjoy yourselves, Steve
That's awesome Steve. You can always go back and visit! They'll still be there for you when you venture outside of Florida like we do. Thank you so much for the nice thoughts!
Awesome job on the SMNP hikes and videos. Thank you for making them and sharing, also you all seem so happy and seem to really complement each other 👍👍
Just found your videos of the Smokies this evening. My husband and I wanted to say we really enjoy your joyful and engaging style. Good to see what we will be doing later this summer. (But due to some health issues...not the more strenuous stuff) Keep up the neat content!
Thank you so much Sallianne! You just made us smile! 😄 You will love the smokies. There's so much to do that's not as strenuous as some of the bigger hikes. The visitor centers always have great ideas if you bring up your map to a ranger and ask what hikes and waterfalls they would recommend. So glad you enjoyed and good luck on your hikes! ⛰️
That's awesome! Glad to see another Floridian here! 😊🌴 We love visiting the mountains but always get homesick for palm trees after being away for a while. We consider Florida our home base that we love returning to after traveling. Happy adventuring! 🌞
Hi Paul and Sarah! We recently found your channel and now we are ADDICTED! Love all the places that you go! We are recently retired and can't wait to start the adventure. A lot of the places you have gone are on our LIST! Being campers, your food is inspiring. Love that you cook at the campsites! Thank you for what you do! We love it. PS - would you share what kind of oatmeal you use and what you put it in for your breakfast?? It's looks nice and chunky and amazing.
Wow! Thank you so much for the love!! 💓 We're so happy you're loving our videos! That's exciting that you guys are starting your adventure with a fun list of things to see and do. For most typical breakfasts we just make old fashioned oats. Sarah is sensitive to gluten so we get the gluten-free ones at Walmart. Then we might put some kind of nuts like whole or sliced almonds, whatever dried fruit we have on hand like raisins or cranberries, and cinnamon. Then we'll pour boiling water on it, wait five minutes or so and it should be done. Sometimes we'll put maple syrup if we want it sweeter. In the summertime in Florida we love making overnight oats in a small mason jar which has oats, chia seeds that plump up to make it fun, plant-based milk, frozen fruit that thaws out overnight, and then nuts like walnuts, pecans, or almonds. If we have a lot more time we love pancakes and scrambled tofu! Yum! We wish you a lot of fun on your adventures and hope that helps! If you ever see us out, be sure to say hello! 💕😊
I know how delicious that lentil curry is. could you please tell me how you made it dry? Your trips are fantastic. Me and my wife also follow your hikes. Keep up the good work. Cheers :)
Thanks so much for the question Asiri! When we're backpacking we'll usually make our favorite meals and then dehydrate them in this dehydrator: amzn.to/3OOEnzp We use silicone sheets amzn.to/3a1ZXBS to pour meals that are liquidy like stews onto the sheets and then dehydrate them for 15 hours or so. Then we'll break up the sheets of stew into a ziplock bag and when we get to camp we'll put them in our pot and pour boiling water over it. After 10-15 minutes or so they rehydrate right back into stew. It's really convenient! We're so happy you're enjoying our videos! We'll be hiking again soon!
Thanks so much for the question! Every time we go we love staying at Carr's Cottages. In this Smoky Mountain series of videos we actually filmed where we were staying. It's such a cute place! We've stayed there every time we're in Gatlinburg. Such a nice walk into town! 😊
This is 3 years ago and I know there’s a chance you guys have special ones. But did you know Marshmallows contain animal products? (Gelatin) I just thought it might be something missed and saw nobody else mentioned it ❤ I have a feeling you already have vegan mallows but just in case 😂
Thank you so much for the tip! 💓 Yes we're aware of gelatin in regular marshmallows. We love Dandies vegan marshmallows and it's such a crazy coincidence that you commented today! We're camping over the weekend and we actually just bought two bags yesterday to share with friends. We were just at an event where they had these big fluffy marshmallows for smores and we didn't have any. Thanks again for sharing! 😊
Hi! We stayed at Carr's Cottages in Gatlinburg. Very cute place! Their website shows you pictures of each of their rooms and the price, because they're all very different.
I know right?? I'm sure it's to let the vegetation recover after the massive fires they had, but it's still sad not to be able to see the views from the top! It definitely changes the trail. 😥 Hopefully they'll reopen it in the years to come!
They haven’t been restoring it, it’s been five years, and there’s no reason to keep it closed everybody goes past the gate and discover that nothing dangerous beyond the fence, so why is it closed,, my guess is a government over reach , the payoff after that long walk is the view from on the chimney tops, it’s 360 all the way down to the towns, so go under the fence
Yeah after this amount of time it does seem a little strange that they have closed it off for so long. I bet it has more to do with people getting hurt rather than restoration.

@@PSAdventures Thank you very much for all the Details. We will try it and let you guys know. Cheers..
I've been going to Smokey Mtns for 50 years I'm curious where did you stay?

What's the name of the place you were staying?
Hi! We stayed at Carr's Cottages in Gatlinburg. Very cute place! Their website shows you pictures of each of their rooms and the price, because they're all very different.
@@PSAdventures thank you! I'm going to check it out!
So crappy they fenced off the summit. Devastating.

Agreed don't know why it's been closed for so long. Everyone goes around it and never get yelled .
So many other waterfalls you could be alone
There's a lot of great waterfalls in the area. This one we love for the large area at the end. Love this area!
Trash throws out trash
Not sure what this means? 🤷
