I would suggest that you switch to an hour/tachometer and then you can use the tachometer function to adjust your carb settings.
What you refer to as a Choke is actually a Fuel Enrichment, it doesn't actually restrict air entering the engine. Also you may find at a certain point that you can't get a good adjustment on the carb and that's because the O ring that holds the jet inside the carb is shot,it is a design flaw of the carb. Have a good day 😊
Thanks for the info, blower is still running perfect so far.
Glad to see you use trufuel in the 2 strokes that's what I tell everyone to use as well as NON ETHANOL GAS in the mowers
The 9010 is definitely the best blower I've ever used thanks for the video
Thank You for the video, I'm running lean at 44:1 using 110 octane Sunoco ethanol free race fuel and Klotz r-50 oil at 44:1. My old stuff and everything except my new X series trimmers and blowers are running lean (white plugs). I'm thinking 1/4 CCW on the H jets? Or just run 50:1??
Thanks for making the video. My 8010 has been doing the exact same thing, and I couldn't figure out why. This is the only video that I have found that mentions adjusting the carb. All of the other videos just tell you to clean the screen on the muffler. I'll have to see if I can find that tool somewhere
To avoid buying both lengths of tools, all you need to do is remove the 4 screws that hold the air filter housing, loosen the hose clamp, rotate the housing back and re-tighten hose clamp. You’ll have access to the slow screw and filters will be in place for proper adjustment.
Maybe it was just me but i saw the part numbers for the mixture adjustment tools and all of your links. 👀 I may try the ear muffs because mine are old and will try the swim goggles to keep the dusty crap out of my eyes when mowing. Thanks for all 👍
My PB 770 started acting up the other day. It would crank up and idle but when I gave it throttle it would bog out. I had to let it idle for a little bit before I could throttle it up and then it would need to warm up more before it would get to wide open throttle. Was aggravating
Thank you sir where are the links to Amazon for the tools ? I have the same blower. I love it.
I was also looking for them
Just took the carb apart on my 9010t to clean it and it put it back together and it is now totally bogging out. Idles perfect but if pull the throttle it bogs right off the bat. Any ideas?
Just a little information I have learned.
I was having problems with my 9010 so I bought a Chinese after market. It was hard to start and once it did I could tell it was not right. Long story short...bought another carb...but as a kit..hoses, carb, gaskets, etc.
39 dollars.
For starters, the Chinese carb has an adjustment that you can use a micro flat head screw driver. Runs great once I richness it up. MUST READ!!!
Must use gaskets sent with aftermarket carb...small hole does not line up with OEM gasket.
Never had any issues with mine, I run 40/1 Amsoil Dominator , starts easy at 30 degrees! Good luck!
The Blower runs good on 40:1?! I heard Amsoil is pretty good?

Not sure why the comments were turned off but now they are back on.
Hey thanks for the video!! Do you have the parts number for those screwdriver. It would help me alot. Thanks
Can you tell me when you have a seconds, does that tool fit your 2620. I am trying to find a tool to adjust my trimmer.
What’s the tool part number that adjusts the carb?
I can’t say that I’ve had a problem with this I will check and see if fattening it up just a little bit makes any difference I run 80/1 98-100 Octane
I can’t find these tools anywhere
Were there any plastic plugs covering the holes?
Nope
Do you have the part number for those tools
So you have a hour meter on yours, purchase same blower last year , no hr meter. Did you add yours?
I put an hour meter on every piece of equipment that burns gas. I have the link in the description and I have videos showing how to install them.
Can you use the short tool for both adjustment screws?
Nope.
Yes short micro d works for both high and low on this unit
my 9010 leaks a bit of reddish oil around the carburetor is that normal??
Nope not normal.
Any update on the link for the tools? Thanks
They don’t appear to be on Amazon right now, but as soon as they do, I’ll put the link.
Can you share the link for the adjusting tools please 🙏🏾
They dont have them on Amazon.
Thanks but it would have helped to get a good look at the tool and you failed to give the links. When I search on Amazon, I am taken to tool kits and so links would help a lot.. I actually bought a tool kit a few years ago for the chain saw but I can't seem to get a tool to fit in the hole and do the job. Is there a carburetor idle speed bolt apart from the two other adjustments. Mine is running fine except it would idle properly
The issue is that Amazon does not have the tools on there anymore so no links are available.
I noticed you saying that elsewhere, thanks@@GwinnettLawns
What kind of 2 cycle oil do you use?
I use only Amsoil Sabre at 100:1
@@GwinnettLawnsyour running that with way to little oil in the gas!! Minimum 50:1! Read the manual it says 50 to 1
@@maineellingwood Sabre is designed to run at 100:1.
@@GwinnettLawns interesting
@@GwinnettLawns would running the equipment at 100:1 rather than the manufacturer recommend 50:1 void the warranty?
What hour meter do you run
I have a link for the hour meter I use down in the description.
I don’t see the part numbers for the tools ..??
Anyone know where I can get the short tool ? Can’t find it anywhere
Where is the low idle adjustment? I dont see anything up there. It would have been nice if you would have pointed it out.
I did point it out with my finger twice. I showed and even said you have to do it by feel because you can’t see it. The only way I could have showed the screw was to remove the carburetor and have a camera that could zoom in really tight. You’re just gonna have to trust me and do it like I told you on the video because I can’t even see the screw when the carburetor is on the blower. You have to do it by feel.
@GwinnettLawns ok...i cleaned the dirt away from it and saw it. Thanks
It may be just me ....but I see every other link for stuff except the link for the tools you referred to 🤨
They’re no longer available on Amazon apparently.
The only thing wrong with your video is that dang dirty bird shirt, ATL vs CAR wk 1 2023.. CAR going 1-0 baby!!!
Great tip on these 9010s though, mines doing it to. I bought the long tool but need the short one
I don’t see the part numbers for the tools ..??
I have them in the video description.
