God, the guitar isn't dead, destroyed by repetitive shedders playing the same things over and over and over... Andy Timmons is here to compose some creative music for us!
I'm a professional guitarist in the Dallas area, and I got to become pretty good friends with Andy as we both played on a local singer-songwriter's live album. Going over to his house to work out who was going to play which part was a lot of fun! Andy is the coolest dude EVER...there ain't a mean bone in his body. I also got to play that Tele from this video...it's a '68, and it is amazing! Interestingly, he doesn't own any Strats...says he wants one but hasn't found one he likes yet.
i pesonally think this a great example of fusion of styles. I think he pulls off the country licks while adding some jazzy stuff, some bluesy bits, and even some good ole 80's shred particles
My favorite. He took the time to pose for ppics with my son and his band a GC..Talked to us for about 15 minutes..Great guy. No wonder he is my favorite
I first heard of Andy when he was in Danger Danger around 1990. Even in the context of a cheesy pop-metal band he was still insanely good. This song sounds like a guitar laughing out loud, if such a thing were possible. Just amazing...
Keep thinking any moment John 5 would walk out & rip the strings along with Andy . Man that would be a treat . Simply amazing virtuosity from Mr. Timmons & the band. Nice to him with a Tele & boy it fits this rouser to a T.
i love song. and i love that there are alot of people who love this song who would never be caught dead listen to some of brad paisleys instrumental songs lol. god i love this guy
