I saw Steve Vai in Baltimore about ten years ago. He was amazing as always. He did a meet and greet after the show. While he was signing my stuff, a guy asked him what the secret to his playing is. Steve said " there is no secret. Just practice twice as much as you think you need to."

Chapeau bas Monsieur Vai.

I used to wonder how someone could not like a great song 👉then finally, I understood when achey breaky heart got really popular. The most simple songs are the ones the majority seem to like... but they can't really like music or maybe... don't even hear music the same way 🤔

such a badass, and musical genius thanks for the video! this guys contributions to music are so incredible, I know he uses the synergy modules now but his amp the VL100 is the most under rated and versatile amp I ever heard, from tones of Vai to Gran Hechicero, simply amazing what it can do, and what he can do!

I've been a Steve Vai fan since Eat'em And Smile was the first cassette tape I ever bought as a kid. I listened to that album today while I worked and it's still one of the greatest guitar albums ever. I saw Steve with Satriani at a G3 show long ago. 2nd row, center. My brother got his pick and still has it. He was amazing then and he hasn't slowed down a bit. Awesome guitar player.

First time I saw or even heard of Steve Vai he was playing with Zappa. I saw them in Chicago in the early 80's. At first, I was confused as to who he was and why he was on stage with Frank, but by the end of the show, I was a fan. A lot of respect for Steve. Not just his contribution to his instrument which is pretty extensive, but as a person.
