Hi Paul iv'e had my bunion removed twice and its still grown back. The last time after my operation my foot went septic and i spent 1 year wearing a special shoe.I attended the hospital for a long time as my foot was in a mess. I'll never have the operation again because its a very painful operation, and i still have a painful bunion,so all my suffering was in vain.I'm 71yrs of age this year so i will just put up with the painful bunion and buy shoes that fit around the bunion or cut parts of the shoe away to accommodate the bunion.Good luck to all those people thinking of having the operation.
Hi Marilyn, I heard they can grow back too! So better to find ways to deal with it like you suggest seems to be the answer.
Hi Judy sorry for the late reply as I've been into town with a friend. If I could show you a photo of my foot months after the 2nd removal operation you'd never have the bunion operation. I just buy shoes that fit around the bunion now. I'm not going through all that pain again.Id rather put up with my ugly foot. Good luck if you do decide to have the operation. But as i said I've had mine removed twice and it still grew back. Lots of love to you 👱♀️😗💜 Stay safe Marilyn xxxx
Do not have the operation you are in more pain than before keep your money
The pain and the time down for recuperation are what prevent me from getting surgery to remove them. Thank you for telling us about your experience.
Hi Katia It's Marilyn i would never have the operation to remove my bunion again. As i said in the letter above I've had it removed twice, and it's grown back to the size it was before both operations. Now when i find shoes that fit the foot with the bunion on i buy 2 or 3 pairs. My toes are all twisted on my right foot where they've been pushed over by the bunion. But I'll put up with that rather than have another operation. You might be lucky and have a successful operation, Only you can decide.😘
Thanks so much for that explanation i too have a bunnion and it hurts badly. I also have burning in my foot bottom bottom
I think I'm suffering it since Grade school. Both of my feet. I'm 23 now and it took me more than a decade to know that it's not normal. I mean, I know it's not normal, but I didn't know it's called this way.
Does it hurt?
@@normanosborn1277no,I had since preteens so it's probably genetics
@@normanosborn1277it hurts trust me I got mine when playing football
I always thought my feet looked like that never knew it was because of literally everything you named in this video! Thank you!!! Will be seeing a doctor soon
A pleasant doctor. It's a pity he's not from Romania! I had the same problem with my foot, and Depanten helped. It relieves pain and also reduced the inflammation. I didn't even think it was possible to deal with this problem so easily. I had been struggling with it for several years. I bought it in Romania.
Losing weight is very important, it's a significant factor in developing bunions !
Not true at all! Bunions come from tight narrow shoes. Also they can be hereditary.
Your point is made by the heavily CREAKING bed ! 💫💥
My grandmother had them for as long as I can remember and it makes her toenails are like a inch thick
Thank you for such a clear explanation of the cause of bunions.
😮 Thank you. Do I need to see a orthopedic before trying the orthotic to fix it on my own?
You are welcome! No, not necessarily you can definitely try orthotic to see how you make out
Now it’s just hurting out of no where I told my mom she said get out her face I’m always complaining but it really hurt so much and it stick out so much she don’t understand doc plz help me😢
If it is a bunion Camarion, you should try a shoe that doesn't bend at the toes like a rocker bottom shoe.
@@OrthoEvalPal it’s a Bunion doc on both of my feet but the right one stick out more and it will start to hurt out of no where but I’m going to try that doc thank you
What kind of a mother have you got go and see a doctor bless you
Loosing weight also helps significantly with foot pain relief
Agreed!
@Patra K he's not saying losing weight will help with bunions only lol losing weight will help your foot overall
Noted
Your wait has nothing to do with your bunion take no notice ask you doctor

I just woke up to this huge bump and just began to cry. Especially hearing there is no getting rid of it. 😢
Ur videos r very informative. U deserve a lot more subscribers
Thank you Thomas! More to come.
I have a huge bunion on my left foot. Thankfully I don't think that I have that same problem in my right foot. I have heel spurs probably in both feet. The pain from bunions can be very irritating and difficult to deal. Sometimes I do weird things just to try to manage the pain because it will feel like it's throbbing sometimes. (My feet are definitely not the prettiest part of me)
Bunions are challenging!
@@OrthoEvalPal 🙌
I’m 16😭😭😭I don’t know why I have them. I started to notice them at 12.
Could be genetic or just use different shoes
@@cristaljustice4534 I don’t think it’s genetic tbh maybe bc I always wear tight shoes
@@-ameera-9103 yes-bunions are not genetic, it derives from bad walking form(toes not pointed forward, walking with feet outward.) bad posture, and Ill fitting footwear (narrow toe box) this all contributes to bunion.
im 17 i just noticed i had them to because my foot started to hurt in that area
Very informative, appreciate what you do. Thank you for your time and expertise.
Thank you Lisa! Lots more to come.
Very Well Explained God Bless You Much Love and Respect
Thank you kindly Reggie!
Hi just want to know if it is too late to treat a bunion when your are in your sixties ? Like with orthotics , spacer etc…. Thank you 😊
Low inflammation Diet and massage are the only things that keep my bunions from turning red
I have 3 on my Right & Left feet.
Night splits don't work
Surgery is not a option
What causes tight calves is the problem
Good video
Tight calves start in the hips
I've tried bunion
booties 😵
Correct toes 😵
Arch support have help but no custom supports have ever fit they where either
1. To Tall
2. To hard
3. Red wing boot company has a good one
4. Sole makes a good one that cups the heal
Hi Dr, very informative video! Thanks
Do you think that silicon spacers between the big toe and next toe can help ?
i try it doesn’t help
yes they can help…BUT it takes time…like years…..wear them as much as you can. (Remember, your feet took years to develop the bunions…so it will take years to straighten them back.) GO for it….stretching the toe back helps to relieve pain!
👍
This video is gr8! Thanks for the advice 👍🏾
Hi is it good to crack your toe or have them broken to straight your toes again please?
Maam magkano? saan po ma bibili?
Hi I'm just starting to notice I'm developing them over past few days. Should I get one of these inserts now before it gets worse. If so where do I find and are they all the same?
It takes a long time to develop these. Not overnight but starting early can be helpful. They are pretty much the same.
What orthotic do you recommend??
Hello! You mention an orthotic as a good option. Is this a custom fit or can I go to a store (in Canada) and buy an “over the counter” orthotic? Thank you for the great video!
L
Hi Lara, I usually do a custom orthotic so I can work around the issue. An option would be a rocker bottom shoe with a wide and deep toe box like the HOKA amzn.to/3lNW8A9
No need for custom fit. Most pharmacies have them in stock. The same kind the doctor gives. In Canada too.
add to the fact of the corpulence in the person above, and the forces through the foot increae since FORCE= MASS times accleration
Hi there, I thought I had gout but now not so sure whether it’s gout or a bunion, I have flat feet however it only affects the one toe. My “gout” seems to flare up for a few days when I knock or stub my toe. I have a bump like this in my left toe that has developed over a period of about 4 years.
Have no redness or calusus but my right toe hurts so much from the side what could it be??
I have a bit worse bended toe in my right foot(caused by the bunion) than the lady in the video. I have no pain usually but my big toe got bended progressively worse the past decade. I don't want to do surgery, but I have to fix the issue or it'll keep getting worse.
I had a small bunion on my right foot and I was worried it could get worst with time.I searched how to prevent my foot from surgery and found Bunion corrector splint. I used it only for one day ( 2 hours) and i ruined my foot for life!!!!!!! Its 2 months and i still have pain and my bunion got bigger and harder. It was bruised and was yellow! I took care of it and the swelling left but my bunion grew bigger. I tried to help myself from a future surgery or pain but caused myself a injury! I had no problems with shoes before and now because of the splint I cant wear most of my shoes anymore .Everytime I wear any of my old shoes the pain gets bad and swelling starts happening .I'm depressed about it because I was fine before the splint.there was only a small bump.. 😔 Does anyone know why this happened to me?Splints supposed to help??I do not want a surgery! Any advice for me?
You may have had some bone spurs there that got irritated. I would look for a rocker bottom shoe that is wide and deep in the toe box. Here is a popular one amzn.to/2UqUBER
@@OrthoEvalPal Thank you so much!
How are things going now? I’m having trouble with my left big toe and worried 😔
My bunion it’s hurting now 😞 at my right side
Omg mines just stop it was on my right to it hurt so muchhh😭😢
Can wearing the inserts make it go away?🤔
Where are u get that cushion for your shoe like hers in the video?
I don’t know how I got bunions. It’s not in my family, I don’t have goat feet or wear tight fitted shoes or heels. So annoying & horrible! There should be a solution to this. I have the same situation as this lady.
What if you are an equestrian for example, and often NEED to wear very narrow boots?
Another very interesting video 😊👍
Thanks Pete!
What treatment u can do to relieve the pain.. home remedy.. u have given the reson not the proper solution
Thank you , very helpful
I wear mostly sneakers (Hokas or Asics) that are normal width with an arch support insole. I’ve notived bunions developing in both feet in the past couple of years and am unsure why since I don’t wear high heels or tight/narrow shoes. (1) how did I develop bunions given the above info, and (2) could you use toe spacers inside your sock to keep that big toe where it belongs? Thanks!
Thanks for sharing! You can get bunions because of tight calves and if you walk with a toe out posture. Toe spacers can help but are usually temporary.
Im 31 and i never noticed them. I dnt wear shoes much.....i wear slipper 99 percent time. I noticed it today after feeling discomfort with my new shoes
Does epson salt help or not
No. The warm water you put the epson salts in will be more helpful
Why do I only have a bunion on my left toe. Right completely normal.
Hola, me gustaria que lo tradusca Al Espanol gracias . bendiciones.
Hola, lo intentaré
Lo puedes hacer tú, utilizando Google translate.
Wanna ask bunion get worse day by day or it remains same please anybody answer
So we walk in our heels at home, so not to put pressure on the toes? Are you in Canada ?
Sounds like I am from Canada but No. I was brought up on the Canadian border and speak French.
Really great piece. Very useful & interesting. Thank you.
Mine are bad
Good job

I had a bunion on my right foot. It is very sore. I try to wrap it but it hurt so bad. I end up taking it off. At night it drive me crazy. But on my left it has no problem. So can you help me get so I don"t hurt so much. Thank you
Get recommendations from a foot specialist.
Why couldn't you help if you are in that line of work?
My foot doctor shaves some of my calluses to relieve pressure. Looking into the orthotic and newer shoes.
Like my foot doctor told me.. lose weight and it won't hurt
How about what they sell on TV called a bunion corrector? Will that work?
I have never seen a device correct it permanently. You can move the toe over but it will come back to the same spot.
I have a bunion of L foot. Ive been getting steroid shots. They kill pain for almost a year.
Good
Good info, but the junk in those shorts made me very uncomfortable 😕
😂
Well. Both of my feet are fucked.
For bunions, u need to go for operation
Don't have the operation you will be in more pain and not just after you will never get rid of it

Lots of information about what a bunion is & what the cause may be.
Zero information on how to treat it.
The Title of the video is: Treat a Bunion"
I explained the treatment in whole last half of the video
Shado Man was not paying attention. Supportive orthotics, stretching, non-confining shoes, surgery as a last resort.
