I’ve had bunion on my right foot for about 10 years. Watched this video seems like a year ago or close. Got better fitting shoes and did all the exercises every day and sometimes several times a day. And it was getting better, but today there was a difference. Had a little crack like cracking your knuckles in my foot. No pain whatsoever associated with it. And suddenly my toe is straight, no pain, I can walk straight and fully extend my foot. It’s like a miracle. Thank you so very much. I’ll continue the exercises for sure. And I also watch all of your videos and you’ve helped me in so many ways. You’re incredible in how you’re helping others. Thanks again.

Dancer/Runner here and have had Bunions my whole life. Started wearing a toe spacer for the last 10 years in every shoe I wear and it has gone down at least half the size . It's taken time but worth it! Get a toe spacer that's meant for ballerinas they work the best! DO IT you won't be disappointed. The spacer and stretches together are a life saver for the pain.
My massage therapist has actuality moved my toes. It has been a process, but it is so worth it. He has also released my ankles. I feel like a toddler learning how to walk properly!
Dr. Berg, I am a Chiropractor also. I gave up on tennis balls. I much prefer Racket balls for patients. They don’t slide on the floor or walls. They are gentle but effective. When tennis balls slide out or land on the floor, they belong to the dogs. I refer my patients to your Channel. I do appreciate your work! Thanks! Bill Miskelly
Had bunions for over 30 years. In addition to what Dr. Berg said, I get regular deep foot massages and reflexology. Helps immensely. Rarely have bunion pain. Taking magnesium and potassium has helped as well.
Did your bunions actually go away? I’ve had mine for about 30 years (from wearing shoes that were too small as a kid) but I’ve never thought that I could fix them without painful surgery.
@@fizoblong9506 Potassium and other electrolytes correctly balanced is extremely helpful especially in high quantity. It's known that a 200lbs healthy man needs 4700mg of potassium throughout the day while the usual man does not get any more than a 1000mg a day of potassium, ect. The usual stress, physical exercises and sickness as well, increase potassium requirements.
Boy I wish I would've known this before my bunion surgery about 20 years ago....it was a DISASTER and I've have repercussions ever since! Thanks Dr. Berg! I do A LOT of these exercises but my whole body has suffered from this surgery. I hope no one gets bunion surgery!!!
I had both bunions removed 25 years ago and after a year, the right one grew back! I'm getting a sore ankle now that cracks regularly. I'm doing these exercises Dr Berg gave us. God bless him for his informative videos.🙏
I had one bunion removed 23 years ago and luckily the surgery worked. Bunion never came back! However, my leg muscles are uneven looking now as the muscles in my leg with the surgery atrophied a lot. Never got it back all the way. Still think it was worth it.
@@Sleepy_Crabe My bunion is now HUGE. The foot without the surgery looks normal. The doctor told me if I had the bunion surgery my big toe of the left foot wouldn't slant toward the other toes. Well it does now, quite a bit. Throws off my other toes. Affected my ankle big time which in turn affected my knee. My yoga teacher informed me the big toe is the stabilizer for our balance so it's also affected my posture. I have had PT and he told me I should've been in for treatment within a week of surgery. My doc told me NOT to do PT....LOL wanted to sue my surgeon but she was married to a lawyer. Waste of time anyway. I'd follow Dr. Berg's exercises religiously!!
I had stage 4 bunions on both feet before I was 30. I’ve always worn wide, comfortable shoes. I’m not impressed by fashion, I did what made my feet less painful. I’m a medical professional who was on my feet for years, narrowly sitting each shift for minutes. I was also an avid mountain climber, but had to tape my toes before each hike. Surgery was my only option as both feet were beyond what you describe here. After recovering from surgery, no more pain, or taping needed. I was non-weight bearing for 6-7 weeks. I’m 66 years old now and by far that was the best decision I’ve made to increase my quality of life. BTW, I was normal to small in build, ate clean, and always wore the correct shoes for this problem. I would be curious to see someone with an advanced bunion “cure” it by following your recommendations. I think most of your videos are helpful, but I’m very skeptical of your opinion in this case. Respectfully. Leenie
Imho one might need to look at any muscles that might be causing hip rotation. Ie tight glutes. Muscle imbalances can cause one to walk duck toed which would cause the great toe to be pushed over toward the next toe.
I am a retired medical professional also. First bunion was from a fall. Broke a toe, and chipped metatarsal. 36 years ago and also opposite foot broke little toe 19 years ago. I wear toe spacers and do exercises and have now started massage. No surgeries, and where you drift with large toe, I am not as bad. Will not do surgery for either foot and I am almost 70.
I’ve had bunions for years, wore the wrong shoes when working for so many years, so I am paying the price. There is only very occasional pain that goes away quickly. I’m 73 years old and would never have bunion surgery after hearing the horror stories from at least 4 people I know that had the surgery. Will definitely try Dr. Berg’s exercises.
Ive seen therapist release crooked toes and minimize the size of a bunion in one session. The massages are intense so they looked painful but the toe straightened out
Very interesting! I feel that the major cause of my bunions has been my gait, I am a little bow legged and I walk with my toes pointing outward, not directly under my knees. Your case seems to be an extreme, so maybe surgery was the best option, but I think doing the exercises can only benefit us, regardless of surgery.
Doing the calf raises also really help. I started doing calf raises just as part of my workout routine and noticed my feet/bunions getting back into better shape and wasn't sure why lol now I know
Much of what you state is inaccurate! Bunions are typically genetic foot /ankle bone structural issues. The metatarsal and ankle have too much mobility. My grandmother, daughter, niece and myself have it! It began to develop around age 12! It wasn’t from wearing heels- though doing so can increase the pain associated with it. None of us have flat feet😊 !! My daughter developed pre teen as well. I had Lapiplasty at age 57! So glad I did!!
@@lesann1896 Lol yup, my lived experience is inaccurate. Totally made that up to get a bunch of likes on a random UA-cam comment for BUNIONS lol. The problem is genetic for my family as well. I can count the amount of times I've worn heels in my life with my 2 hands. Even if it's genetic, strengthening the muscles, moving, and stretching your feet/toes is still beneficial for strong mobile feet (:
Dr B you are truly wonderful. I’ve sorted my mental health from IF and keto, now addressing other body issues, , like my left foot bunion. Thank you very much.
Thanks Doc Eric. This helped me a lot. Working in the medical field for many years and being on my feet a lot, this happened to me. Beard looks awesome!! Thanks for all your compassion and helping us. Blessing always
Bunions are typically correlated with flat feet/flexible arch which may also be causing your knee pain. The pain at the bunion is typically from shoe pressure at the bunion. Try wearing athletic shoes with a soft mesh upper and a stiff sole and add in an arch support. Make sure you’re wearing the correct size shoe. You should have at least 1\2 inch from the end of your big toe to the end of the shoe when standing. You can also use a bunion pad to protect the bone in shoes. You can see a foot specialist for orthotics or to discuss corrective surgery. Best of luck.
I’ve had a bunion since I was a little kid. Became much worse and painful as I grew. I went to a podiatrist and the Dr. told me that it was genetic. Which both my parents do have. And yes, other things described in this video do enhance the bunion. I had to have surgery to have the bunion removed. For the surgery, the foot is opened up. The bunion shaved off. The big toe bone is broken, then realigned. A small metal piece is put in place on the big toe bone to keep it straight. You are obviously on conscious under surgery. Recovery is uncomfortable. But SO worth doing. Did the surgery over 5 years ago. Not one problem. Best thing I did to get rid of the pain/ bunion on my foot. It is a medical problem. My insurance paid for the surgery. I also wanted to ad; If you're think of doing the surgery for bunion removal, make sure you do a background check on the Doctor. That the Doctor is experienced in doing the surgery. I had it done here at the Cleveland Clinic from a reputable Dr. who actually specializes in bunion removals. Again, had it over 5 years ago. Not one problem.
Same. I had a sports orthopedic surgeon do my foot. Best decision. Mine is also genetic from fallen arches, over pronation and a very sharp Q angle from hip to inside of my knee. I do all kinds of exercises to strengthen the weak muscles but only surgery was going to fix my problem. Best to you.
Same. Mine was genetics, ballet pointe shoes for years, gymnastics for years then modeling professionally for years. I’m grateful for the body I have now in my 40’s from everything but my poor feet never stood a chance 🤣💚
My 27 year old niece just had the surgery. I can remember her Mom having bunions and she was young. And my neice had them since she was itty bitty and I thought it really surprizing! So they're genetic! Never would have thought this 😮👠👠 thought her Mom had from wearing her high narrow pointed heels..
Doing the alphabet with my feet helped me to avoid arch pain. Used both upper case and lower case alphabet just to get full stretch! Easy while watching tv! :)
I had terrible pain from this for about a week. Luckily it went away fairly quickly with rest. My heart goes out to people who live with this for years, literally every step you take is so painful
@@renenava5213 i have bunions and many years ago i drank the tea from the Kombucha mushroom, the pain went away and never came back. Apparently the mushroom tea cleans the body of the Uric Acid that contributes to the pain.
Hey Dr. Eric, I have to add a #4 cause: I had cancer in right leg and my sciatic nerve was removed so my foot is paralyzed (I did baffle my Docs, when I had feeling below my knee due to developing an extra nerve through years of ballet). Since my left foot compensates for the right one, I now have a huge bunion. I use a comfy toe separator and a medical foot massager, but didn't know about the exercises....thank you! (some I cannot do because a paralyzed foot does not bend, but I'm excited to try the rest!).
All of the movements actually work. It takes time to get the muscles and flexibility going if you have been sedentary a long time, but worth it. Thanks, Dr. Berg.
Best thing I found was to put the two big toes side by side then use one fat rubber band around both pulling them together, then keep your heels together try separating slowly both big toes, the band aligns the toes as it forces them back the right way..... you can watch a movie or sit at computer when you do this!!!!! It's truly the best😁along with Doc Bergs great tips too!
Great video thank you! Had bunion surgery on both feet, one in August 2021 and the other the following year in February. Sadly both surgeries failed and 1 foot all the hardware broke surgeon failed to mention my foot was not fused at all which caused the hardware break. Now days I use barefoot foot shoes and vibram 5 finger shoes which I find much comfort. I also have flat feet. I will add these exercises to my daily routine. Thank you again!!
Thank you. My left foot and leg are a mess. Bunion, Hip bursitis, then last year, I had a ladder accident and broke my knee and heel bone. I've been doing a lot of exercise to try to recover my full range of motion in both the knee and ankle. I will be adding those which you've shown, as they look like they may have multiple benefits.
In my experience, consulting a podiatrist saved me. Flat feet and Ankle pronation have been the problem and this is hereditary . I have plastic orthotics in my shoes and I use toe spacers between the big toe and second toe. My podiatrist provided strengthening exercises and stretches. These measures have arrested the development of bunions. I don’t have back, hip and knee pain and my legs are straight. In addition to Dr Berg’s advice re exercises, I strongly recommend a consult with a good podiatrist first before seeing a surgeon. Correct alignment from the feet up is so important. Avoid unnecessary bunion surgery, when the biomechanics in your feet, ankles, knees, hips and your spine can be corrected through a podiatrist. Some people would not have had success with these orthotics as I have or had a bad experience with podiatrists, but it pays to do the research. I see my podiatrist annually and have been for 20 or so years. My orthotics are reviewed to see if further modifications are needed or need to be replaced . If uncorrected, progressive joint problems can develop.. which may lead to joint replacement.
My mom had this problem and now my sister has it. They both have flat feet. My sister just had surgery to correct this. I was bless to have my father’s beautiful well arch feet.
Thank you for posting this video. I will be doing these exercises. I have suffered with bunions for many years. My right big toe is hallux rigidus now (I think I spelt that right) and my left big toe is becoming that too. However about 5 years ago I got orthotics from the hospital and they changed my life. I am 62 now and I am even able to run on the treadmill at the gym💖x
Altra makes excellent shoes with natural size footbox. They are also Zero-drop from heel to toe. Once I tried them I never turned back. Injinji makes toe-socks for each individual toe. I use these alone or with a pair of light darn tough socks to avoid blisters while hiking or on long walks. Take care of your feet!
Great advice. This and (slowly) transitioning from regular to barefoot style shoes. It’s been a month and I can see improvement. IMO, most people are wearing tight and ill-fitting footwear.
My parents have that, now I feel so happy I will let them know there is a fascinating video of you that have hope and out the pain. Thank you so much Dr. Berg.!🙏🏻❤️🌹
My left foot is flat and I've noticed the development of a bunion so this video is very helpful. I'm going to start working on these exercises asap. I do have weak ankles and leg muscles so this will help. I'd like to recommend a brand of sock called Happy Feet that is designed to separate the toes and straighten them back out. They have helped me when I use them. I've found its hardest to separate the last two toes the most but after few minutes I feel a lot of relief. I've also found that a brand of shoe called Xero Shoes has helped me strengthen the muscles in my feet and I've gotten back a bit of my arch in the left foot. These shoes are very flexible and allow your feet to move naturally and flex.
I've been noticing this starting a cpl of mths ago. Today I added a contraption to the cart and hopped over here before reading the reviews. Glad I did‼️
I’m definitely starting these exercises tomorrow (currently 3:04 AM)! I injured my right big toe in Taekwondo as a teen and I’ve developed bunions due to the sport. My right foot was also broken in a car accident January last year. I had a “boxer’s” break in my right hand and severely fractured my calcaneus and had to have surgery. The swelling from the fracture went up into my ankle and so I believe I have nerve damage from that. My ankle still feels weak and I still can’t wear heels 😭 I think these exercises will help me strengthen the muscles that are still weak from atrophy and I hope to fix my bunions too! 🌸
I've developed a bunion on my right foot, after 40 years as a hospital RN, on my feet A LOT. My main issue now is the difficulty finding comfortable shoes. I have an old pair of Sketchers that fit like a glove. Expensive, but worth every cent. No more high heels for little (4ft. 10ins) me.
Dr Berg, this thing started to grow on my feet, I stayed 2 months on a farm and I started walking with no shooes on my feet, so I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING ANYMORE, IT DESAPIER... my feet are so beautiful again. ♡from Brazil! 🇧🇷☘
I have a bunion and high arches with painful callousness. Funny I thought I get callouses because of the high arch, since arch don’t make contact with floor, thereby putting excess pressure on fore foot. I uses the callus scraper at least twice a eeek otherwise I feel like I’m walking on nails.
Thanks so much for this, Dr. Berg! I have the exact opposite problem. My little toes -- which have been broken many times -- are in constant pain. I was moving furniture last weekend, and now I can hardly bear to put weight on my feet. I'm using a pillow under my feet as I sit here at the computer desk. I will work through the recommended exercises and try to strengthen up the muscles, and possibly look for wider shoes.
@drjlrust is it possible le your little toes were never set properly after being broken? This happened to me, it took me quite some time to discover the problem. That was why they kept breaking, in my case. Next time it broke, I took a deep breath and pulled the toe long as hard as I could then released to set, then taped it tightly to next toe for 8 weeks, no less, changing tape as needed. Never had another problem. With it, it's been 20 years. Good luck!
Bad shoes Shoes need to be made for people with toes These exercises are great My left ankle is snap cracking and poppong the side with the bunion Thanks Dr. Berg
Yes -- we need more shoe companies to think about function first!! I love my Xero shoes for this reason, but minimalist shoes with nice, wide toe boxes in general have made a huge difference for me
I was foot-shamed also for I've had bunion.since.childhood... technical name which I came to know only some time ago. But at 30 i survived in an accident ending up with right leg disability and half right foot amputation. Now my foot looks ugliest but thank god and my doctor for.am.still walking with crutches. 😇😇

I have an extremely high arch, which causes my ankle to tilt in,which has given me a huge bunion. I walk about ten miles a day,so thank you for your suggestions
Customized shoe inserts! The high arch was the cause of my bunion too. I sought some help only when one day I couldn't walk. The pain was killing me. The shoe inserts are preventing my feet from rolling in.
Hi Kathy-you might have CMT(Charcot Marie Tooth). Feel free to message me-it's a rare neuro-muscular disorder. Mine comes with an essential tremor and walking difficulties.
I'm so happy to see this. My doctor just told me to get surgery on my bunions now since they are not bad yet. Doing research that sounds like a bad idea.
I had a bunion on my right foot (just to the left of the toe) for maybe 10+ years. My right foot is just under an 11 and I wear 10 1/2s as my left foot is a fraction under 10 1/2. I think maybe this plus the narrow leather office shoes I used to wear were the cause. Last 2-3 years it got quite big and red and I was embarrassed to wear sandals; the bump was easily visible outside of my shoe. Thought the only way to fix would be surgery. Thankyou Dr Berg - I tried your exercises twice a day (morning when I wake and evening when I go to bed) and the darned thing has reduced 90% and is nearly gone. It took longer though - I am now in month 2. It started to reduce already in the first week by maybe 20% and the redness started to disappear. But for the first month I thought something bad had happened as my toe & second toe started hurting as well as the pads underneath and especially when walking. I figure it was probably the whole situation normalising and now the pain is much much reduced. I am wearing my sandals again and will continue to exercise both feet - it must be good for maintenance into my old age. Who would have thought !?!?! Thankyou so much again !!
I thought I needed a surgery to fix my bunion. It was a waste of money, time and pain for me. I had Lapiplasty on my right foot in November for a painful bunion. My big toe has already moved back - my podiatrist said that is so rare and he's never seen it after that surgery. My toe joint literally is just compensating and moving even with proper shoes. I am already wearing a splint so I am going to add these exercises & massage for sure!!
Hello Dr. Berg, (I don't have bunions), I just wanted to suggest a video idea. Over the years, you have frequently had recommendations regarding blood work, blood tests, telling the ranges, and explaining what they mean. I have several in my notes. I want to have a blood test, and I want to test every little thing. A comprehensive blood test, listing all the necessary panels to have done, and how to interpret the findings would be a great video. Sidebar: I want to get my iron tested before I give my first blood do action. It is said that most men have too much iron, and it is difficult to rid the body of iron. One health advocate says iron is the most important factor in health evaluation.
Thank you, very useful. I found that I have a huuge bunion in one foot but the other looks healthy and normal. Why one foot is distorted more than the other, is very puzzling.
Good Morning , Dr.Berg🎑 I sure do appreciate this great health tip , Thank you so sharing this very interesting information with everyone , God bless and Protect all of you ! ❤ 4 / 27 / 2022 ❤
I have a slight bunion in my left foot and I will for sure try these exercises. I've worn toe spreaders and they're very good, but you have to be very consistent with wearing them, especially when standing and/or walking. Thank you Dr. Berg!
I just bought some spreaders. Any advice as far as long term and how they help condition the foot? My research is showing me that they only help when they are on the foot but i have to think using them for an extended period of time will help re condition the foot and it's weight distribution
@@MundaneRyno hi Ryan. I wore mine consistently for about 4 months and walked and ran in them, and didn't notice much of a difference in the appearanceof the bunion. I think once you get bunions the toe spreaders will help with comfort, but they will not fix the physical ailment. To actually rid yourself of them, you'd probably need surgery to file the bone down. Or perhaps you could get rid of them with the toe spreaders if you wore them consistently for years, which I haven't done, but even then I somehow doubt it would fix them. Once that bone forms abnormally there, I can't see how the spreaders would reduce the bone, but who knows. And also, I don't know anyone who has worn them for years. I hope this helps.
A good way of determining of your shoes are wide enough is putting them on with toe-spacers on - if you can't fit in there, they are too narrow/wrong shape.
Hey Doc, Good Morning. A friend of mine emailed me today about suffering with Bunions so my first thought was to see what you had to say about those nasty little lumps. And, Yep, as usual you have the best advice and the healing method. Thank you so much, I'm sending out the links to her. Have a great day!!

So glad I did this I am to late 1 Dr only shaved the bunion it came back in 2018...so I had to have full bunion surgery again 2022 ...it was causing my other toes to become inflamed
Thank you, that was very helpful. I will try those exercises. My Judo teacher also taught us to do ankle rotations, while sitting on a mat with legs extended. After rotating the ankles in one direction, we rotate them in the opposite direction. The hands can also be used to help rotate the ankles to extend range-of-motion. You are so right, that massaging the feet helps to relax the muscles and alleviate pain. With “zone therapy,” massaging a point on the foot also alleviates pain in some other part of the body, that’s directly linked to that section of the foot.

I am focusing on being barefoot as often as possible which gives me the added benefit of grounding and naturally strengthening the foot. I also am getting rid of any shoes without a large toe box. I also wear flip flops frequently. there are many videos about the benefits of barefoot living. Good video though.
Yes, people who live in countries where wearing shoes is rare don't have westernized problems like bunions and hammertoes so much. Shoes don't necessarily cause the problems. They exacerbate problems and precipitate genetic predisposition to these issues in folks who are born with vulnerable ligaments and tendons. So preventative exercise does wonders.
@@esotericsolitaire shoes do cause the problem themselves and end up shortening some muscles and tendons too much whilst overstretching and weakening others due to the heel raise and toe spring as well as the narrowed toe box

@@esotericsolitaire Just because she wore high heels doesn’t mean she will for sure develop hammertoes and bunions. Fact is, populations where modern footwear is common, foot problems will affect the majority of people while in populations were it is more primitive or non existent foot problems will be rare. Your story is anecdotal at best and I seriously doubt she had no underlying problems, footwear especially high heels WILL alter your feet but some people are more resilient than other.

I've got a spikey ball for that (says "Rubz" on it) and it feels SO good. As for bunions, I'm not sure that's my issue. My big toe tends to hurt at the bottom of the second joint, but so do my metatarsals, and that's what the little ball is great for. Ankles hurt a lot, too. PS: Getting good, wide shoes did help, and they had more support for my metatarsals, but I have high arches, so even good arch support isn't as aggressive as I'd like.
I've been watching your videos for sometime now, they're quite informative. Am flatfooted, wore high heels since teenage and now got serious bunions. Thanks to you now I know how to fix it! God bless you
I’ll definitely try these exercises, but my situation is a little different. My bunion is at the TOP of my foot, not the side. Of course, that’s where most shoes have a seam, so it’s difficult to find comfortable shoes. It was removed about 20 years ago, but returned within a year. I only have worn sneakers since. Also, I have extremely high arches, not flat feet.
What if I’ve had bunions since I was a toddler. And my mother had shoes made for me. Oh my. I got the silicone separates. First step. And the exercises. Thank you.💕Cathy
Thank you, Dr. Eric for this video. I can't really walk barefoot and wear good shoes and sandals to give support to my ankles and keep the feet sturdy. Also, I have been wearing the 5 toe socks for many years. I will start the exercises you have mentioned, but wonder if it is too late already. Foot doctors tell me that now the only option is surgery,. If you read this message, kindly reply. Thank you.. L

That's great. Thanks for sharing your experience here.
Dr. Berg, I am a Chiropractor also. I gave up on tennis balls. I much prefer Racket balls for patients. They don’t slide on the floor or walls. They are gentle but effective. Had bunions for over 30 years. In addition to what Dr. Berg said, I get regular deep foot massages and reflexology. Helps immensely. Rarely have bunion pain. Taking magnesium and potassium has helped as well.
Interesting about magnesium & potassium. 🌞
Did your bunions actually go away? I’ve had mine for about 30 years (from wearing shoes that were too small as a kid) but I’ve never thought that I could fix them without painful surgery.
I always thought I would have to have surgery as well. Would love it if I didn’t have to.
Be careful with potassium if you are older than 50 and not doing much exercise that causes swetting.
My mom's suffering from this, very grateful, thank you, Dr. Berg very much!💓🙏
Boy I wish I would've known this before my bunion surgery about 20 years ago....it was a DISASTER and I've have repercussions ever since! Thanks Dr. Berg! I do A LOT of these exercises but my whole body has suffered from this surgery. I hope no one gets bunion surgery!!!
I just got mine done 2 months ago, I’m slowly recovering, I could run a bit yesterday, haha. Can I ask what repercussions you have?
I had both bunions removed 25 years ago and after a year, the right one grew back! I'm getting a sore ankle now that cracks regularly. I'm doing these exercises Dr Berg gave us. God bless him for his informative videos.🙏
They have improved the surgery.
I started doing calf raises just as part of my workout routine and noticed my feet/bunions getting back into better shape and wasn't sure why lol now I know
Thanks
Thanks, good to know!
How are you going to tell someone else their experience was inaccurate ?
@@lesann1896 Lol yup, my lived experience is inaccurate. Totally made that up to get a bunch of likes on a random UA-cam comment for BUNIONS lol. The problem is genetic for my family as well. I can count the amount of times I've worn heels in my life with my 2 hands. Even if it's genetic, strengthening the muscles, moving, and stretching your feet/toes is still beneficial for strong mobile feet (:
Dr B you are truly wonderful. I’ve sorted my mental health from IF and keto, now addressing other body issues,

Avoid gluten. I always find I have more pain in my ankles and knees when I eat a lot of bread. I’ve gone gluten free but when I cheat I feel it!
That’s fantastic! I’m so happy for you!
@erock, U totally agree with you. Inherited this 'pain in the butt' from my mother's family.

This is why I always read the comments - for great ideas like this one👍
You are the most informative doctor Ive ever seen. Thanks for all you do.
No bunions, butdifficultbalance and stiff ankles. These are helping. Thanks yet again.
Can you share the type/brand of toe separator?
Yeah my podiatrist was like schedule surgery this is way beyond anything orthotics can help:/

My ankle still feels weak and I still can’t wear heels 😭
I think these exercises will help me strengthen the muscles that are still weak from atrophy and I hope to fix my bunions too! 🌸
I'm watching this at 2:44 am.
10ins) me.

It's a load of $h!+.
Good luck!

Thank you so much! I've always wanted to fix my bunions!🙏🏽🙏🏽
You're very welcome!

After you finished speaking I just sat there and stared at the screen in disbelief Oh how I wish I had sought out your information first!!!!
Thank you 🙏 love your videos. I’ve had bunions since 12 years old. Gonna try these exercises. Would love to fix my feet
thank you for the video
It's been more than 1 year.
How did it go?
I'm so guilty of wearing the wrong shoes. You always trying to keeping up with all the latest shoe and heels from short heels to the very dramatic very high heels, just to look good. Not any more I grew up finally , but now I have to fix my feet. Thank you Dr Berg for the great tip and advice for your feet. I hope the younger girls get to see this Video.
@@Tatusiek_1 then my 85 year old aunt, who wore strappy high heels until the day she died, should have been crippled. She had the cutest feet you ever saw, even in old age. And I seriously doubt she exercised her feet or ankles, specifically.
Barefooting is good on the sand, grassy areas, etc. But not so good on hard flat surfaces like tile or wood floors.
I'm trail runners I'm Ignoring my problem until it's getting worse , I agree about the Shoues. Something small can cause big problem thanks Docter
Thank you so much Dr.Berg for this good advice for bunions, God bless you.
Thank you, thank you Dr Berg i wait for this video 2 years since first asking 🍒
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!
I suspect one of my children has this prob. Thank you again for info. You're a brilliant doctor!
I was so shocked to see the FARM video clip in this. Dr. Daniel at the FARM helped me so much with a debilitating hip issue that I don't feel anymore.
I started getting bunionswhen I went into menopause. Soon as I got onto bioidentical hormones, the pain and disfigurement stopped, along with other arthritic problems
Glad this video came out as I never considered exercise to try relieve the strain! Surgery is expensive and recovery slow, with no guarantees it will work or wont come back :( now I wear bunion sleeves which are comfy.
I love the RUBZ massage ball!!!!! I recommend it to clients all the time!!
@@BouncySlim1 I don't even know where I got it. maybe I'd actually buy a couple more.
Me too. Little spikey ball. I use it every day. But the cat wants it
Thank you for your guidance. Stay Blessed Abundantly Always Amen 🙏🌹❤️
Thank you very much. Wishing you the same.
Thanks for the info Dr Berg.
Happy to be of help!
What if I’ve had bunions since I was a toddler. And my mother had shoes made for me. Oh my. I got the silicone separates. First step. And the exercises. Thank you.💕Cathy
Thank you, Dr. Eric for this video. I am flat footed and started having the bunions problem many years ago, and now it has escalated to such an extent that the big toes are pushing the other toes to the other side so much over the years that I find one of the toes is now overlapping the other one. Thank you.. L
Hi Lalita
Do the exercises and wear the toe spacers for 6 mo or more.
Don’t give up
Stay positive you will see improvement.
😄👍💕
