  • This is the Behringer Super fuzz, a clone of the Boss FZ2 Hyper Fuzz, which in turn is based on the UniVox SuperFuzz circuit with some great tweaks. This kind of fuzz sound isn't everyones cup of tea but I personally love it!

      Dopethrone with a press of a button. Killer bonus. Plus the boost is amazing and if you can place the switch just right you can get a blend of the two modes for a SuperFuzz meets Big Muff kinda sound that is killer in its own right. But nothing beats the sputtering ugliness of mode 1.

    The most fun and enjoyable demo I've seen on this pedal -- really liked the energy here. Also, you've showed the excellent range of possibilities that it has within it better than a lot of other vids I've seen. I've got one of these, in fact I've got a few octave fuzzes (including a 1970s Shin-ei -- not currently working, unfortunately) -- but yeah, for the price, I'd say just buy one of these, why not? There is of course the "secret" mode where you can jam it in between Fuzzes 1 & 2 and you get a half-half blend between the two sounds. It's not exactly earth-shatteringly amazing, but some people get excited about something that somehow shouldn't be. Great video anyway. Cheers!

      I own a pretty expensive old Big Muff that sounds amazing, but this $30 pedal smokes it every time. It’s a staple of my board.

      @Tyrannosaurine Рік тому

      @@GiacomoVaccari true, a BC108 but souped up with a Colorsound Boost through multiple Hiwatts that Gilmour is somewhat famous for playing excruciatingly loud.
      Comfortably Numb is pure Big Muff though.
      So to answer the question anything from 1975 back (Dark Side, Meddle, the Fun Space Rock Pink Floyd) is gonna be a Fuzzface. Skreddy make a couple fuzzes that are specifically emulating Gilmour’s sound. Or an Analog Man BC108 or BC183 SunFace will do the trick.
      After 1975 until this very day (Animals, the Wall, Division Bell, those massive tours) it’s 90% Big Muff, and some Pete Cornish pedals he made for Dave.
      Also, it shouldn’t be overlooked that a certain part of Gilmour’s Tone maybe during Animals but DEF during the Wall, the Wall tour, and the Final Cut was his new acquired Mesa Boogie amp. Personally while I don’t love the album, I think Gilmour’s tone was never better than it is on the Final Cut.
      So a Muff and an Electric Mistress should get you in the ballpark. Volume to taste, but again he was touring with a dozen or so Hiwatts, used 4 at a time depending on which he thought sounded best that day. So 4 Hiwatts 100 watt heads absolutely DIMED.
      There’s a famous story about the PA shutting down at a show in America somewhere during Soundcheck of one of the Dark Side Tour dates and you could still hear Dave straight to the back of this huge venue.
      That’s how he got all that sustain from a strat.

      It’s actually 5’s. It’s a pattern that has crept into my repertoire. I borrowed the pattern from an old Shawn Lane tutorial. Obviously totally dumbed down from Shawn’s lightning speed and flawless technique 😂

      @@DanLeggatt well I meant to say it's plastic, so it will last forever haha. From what I've heard so far from behringer users the only problem they've faced isn't the housing but the internal parts especially the footswitch.

      @@theresnoway440 Still yep. There was no show of sustain, or how the low strings reacted v the high ones. There was no feedback from the amp. Overall, there was very little review. I do love the pedal, though.
