Very informative, thank you. @Mayleth65 I am a history major with a concentration in the Victorian Era and I can answer this for you. It is true that the corset was worn under the dress but under the corset was usually a chemise, or light shirt. To my understanding, the shirt made it more comfortable to wear to garment as it reduced how the boning could cut into the skin, similar to how underwiring in a bra can cut into women today. I would suggest wearing like a cami underneath, corset, then shirt, personally for comfort.
Hi Lucy, today was my third day of seasoning and I can't wait to reduce my waist to an hourglass...or at least close to an hourglass(I'm quite straight from the sides, though have a butt and DD upper...my question is I've an arched back...a little like a duck, during this seasoning time, will my corset take my shape or force my back to straighten?...I work out for my butt and legs and been thinking if the arch will go(which I don't want to let go)....and oh! I think corsets are just fine! I have a boyish waist. Right now I am pregnant so I wont be training, but when I am done (and then done strengthening my core) I am going to do this. It sucks, for me, because my hips are incredibly small when looking at a clothing sizing chart but my wait would put me in size medium to large clothing. It's insane. Also, I think there is something incredibly sexy about a corset. :)

I am a MTF transgenderd person with a current natural waist of 34, and i have a little belly fat, not much. i purchaced a corset for -4 inches (30 inch waist) it is just an hourglass type that does not rise over the rib cage. (i can nearly close it but it becomes very uncomfortable doing it.) i would like to shape my rib cage down into a more feminine shape. what kind of corset do i need? how much should i spend? (I wear a 36b bra,and still growing) and i have narrow hips
I just bought a $60 underbust 18" corset from ebay D: I know it sounds horrible, but it surprisingly seems like its good quality, I just cant buy anything really pricey right now. I measured down the front 'busk' ,I think its called, and its 14" long. I don't know if its really supposed to go over the hip even though it does because it has a very uncurvy straight shape. Perhaps soon I can afford a more expensive one? Thanks super much!!!! :D
I love that waist size... What size waist is that???... Im 17 and in high school and I weigh 130 pounds... Back in middle school I used to be soo skinny that it was unattractive I weighed 94 pounds, I gained a lot of weight in my stomach and I hate it. And I want a waist just like the one here in this video... what would you reccomend... for starters my age.... and how would i begin waist training????
I have an under-bust,hourglass corset (just started) and wish to change the shape of my ribs to aid in waist training. You speak of a conical shape to do this but I'm confused...what is that? a wasp? I guess I can do that, but the look of the hourglass is so much more pretty :( Ugh,I rather affect my ribs than some stupid muscle and fat pads though :/
Is there any specific style of corset that is "easier" or "better" for waist training/reduction? For example, is a waspie just as good as an overbust for reduction? I know waspies or cinchers allow for more movement, but are they better for reduction as well? Also, will corsets form places like TT, OC or Leatherotics off the rack do for a "proper training corset"?
:o Thankyou so much for replying!!! I honestly didn't expect one. I subscribed!!! ^~^ I just put on my new corset for the first time and I think it may be too long for me :( It squishes my boobs, but its and underbust so I have to pull it down a bit and now its hurting my hip bones in the front . :/ I guess I have a short torso? My torso is proportional to my body, but I guess compared to other people its short... darn this.... I thought 5'2" is normal height.
I wouldnt expect corsetry on its own to change my waist. I am pretty squishy and can pull it in a fair bit as I also have a long torso. I am cutting calories as well as being on a gluten and most of dairy free diet. I also exercise, a minimum of 40mins daily. A good, brisk walk for an hour or so is all it takes. I am lucky having a lovely wooded, nature reserve close to my house, and I have a gym bike in my bedroom which covers that. Its been super helpful during lockdowns. I think people need to engage their brains, Yes corsets can redisribute fat on the body but for permanent results, you need to eat less than your base metabolic rate AND ecercise!
HI Ashley, it's the Emerald silk underbust by Timeless Trends. I actually liked this brand so much that I started distributing for them! lucycorsetry.com/product/emerald-green-brocade-underbust-corset/
So, reading Jada's comment, I'm 16, and would like a corset, for 2 reasons. (1) I have a bad back-slumping problem, and I really want to fix that at an early age with a corset. (2) I don't have very prominent curves, and barely a waist at all, and I really want one. So is it unsafe for me to get a corset? Even if I don't cinch a lot?
Not specifically. Some people call it a conical or tapered silhouette, some call it a wasp waist silhouette. You can check out this gallery I made featuring many corset brands that specialize in this type of silhouette: lucycorsetry.com/2013/12/18/where-to-buy-conical-corsets-for-training-the-ribs/
@bishonenrancher Yeah but you can alway just wash off make up but corsetry causes permanent internal deformity and also can cause infertility. Also people can feel beautiful without makeup and only use it for artistic creativity, from what i know youve been wearing your corset for about over a year, would you ever stop using it?
Thank you so much! :) I am only 16 but once I'm about 18 I plan on starting to waist train. Your info has been very helpful! btw your curves are AMAZING!
hi i new to corsets and i have always loved the way they look and feel but i have a naturally small waist that i don't want to reduce. what can i do not to shrink my waist?
If one is starting out in waist training, and has already broken in the corset, how many inches should one cinch-down in the corset from the natural waist? I'm not referring to goals, but am talking about the cinch-down from the natural waist to the corseted waist (in first starting out with waist training).
After seasoning, lace to the point of comfort. This might still only be 2" for some people, or 4" for other people. For waist training, many people will simply cycle the pressure (i.e. loosen the corset when it feels too tight, and tighten the corset when it feels too loose) to the point where they can find a "happy medium" and be able to wear it like that all day. You can also do the "roller coaster" method designed by Romantasy - I talk a little bit about that here: Corset Waist Training 1: Safety & goal setting
Hi Lucy , thank you so much for all this information, it's so helpful! I'm currently about to go on this amazing journey that is waist training and although you've answered most of "my" questions, I'd still like to know if it's possible for me to go from a natural 26' waist to a natural 23' waist (= measuring 23' all day without the corset while doing maintainence for only 5-6 hours a day)?
how long did it take to get that 2 inch permanent waist reduction from 28 for you? would you attribute that reduction to weight loss or something like that at all? did you reduce your ribs? sorry to bombard you but there aren't many reliable sources for this type of info. :)
quick question, when corset training, if you get down to closing a corset, if you want to go smaller still do you then buy a corset a futher couple of inches lower than your corseted waist or from your natural waist?
I used to have a tiny waist naturally (22 inches) but after 2 c-sections within 2 years and gaining lots of pregnancy weight, I just lost my waist, completely. What brand corset do you recommend for a curvy girl for waist training?
I have scoliosis, and I'm at a point where in the next few years I'll need surgery unless I start wearing a back brace. Is it possible for corset training set at a low goal [say going from 31 to 27 inches] to assist in reducing the degree of my scoliosis?
Hi I was wondering if there is a way I can message and talk to you personally. I am interested in waist training and I would love it if you would answer some questions and guide me ?
@bishonenrancher Thank you so much! It seems I'll most likely go for the flat steel ones as the designs I've found are quite awesome anyway. (regarding reversible corsets) I agree that there's no knowing how strong a zipper would be. I think I would like to reduce my waist quite a lot as well (for shock factor and vanity) so I am settling for the prettiest flat steel one on available ^^ Also I can't stand waiting on a 3-week pre-order haha What would I ever do without you!
this is meant to be a serious question why would one want to corset? im intersted but im not sure why it looks painfull and i dont want a 18 in i just want a flatter stomach
If I were to buy a "waist training corset"...they have more steel boning... do I need to go a size smaller than my usual corset size? I have a 32" waist. My 30" corset is too big now (I lost weight) and so I am buying 28" corsets. However, this waist training underbust says "Potential Waist Reduction 6-7"...does that mean I buy a smaller at a 26"? It's pretty confusing. Also does it has to be specifically "waist training" to do any good?
Hello, great videos =) Im really interested in starting waist training, i was wondering do you know where i can find a waist training corset that will change my perminet shape outside of the corset? Does your tummy nd waistline look smaller outside your corset?
i just started waist training.... today is my first day..... how long should i wear it at a certain level of tightness before i start pulling it tighter
Try a reduction of two inches - your corset needs to be gently broken in like a pair of shoes, so it softens a bit. It also prevents damage to the corset and yourself! I have a day-by-day corset seasoning mini series here: ua-cam.com/play/PLd2O_kYv6eJylhxEXC6VYQj3yXbpzmKug.html
hi there I need some help with a corset that will help me eventually look like what your body looks like in this very video with your corset on-now is that possible for one to look like they have that type of body that you are showing with your corset on? Also I live in hamilton, ontario and I am new to this corset thing and I have no idea how to get started or where to find a store that i can walk in and buy from? I am a petite girl but have no hour-glass figure-kind of like squarish figure
So does that mean my natural waist wont be reduced at all? :/ I just bought my first corset, its 18" and my natural waist is 22". So will I have to go down to 16" to get a naturally smaller waist?
I have a playlist on physical effects of corseting, you might be interested in the "Corsets and Muscles" as well as "Corsets and Bones" to further explain the mechanism of how the corset can train your waist without weight loss. ua-cam.com/play/PL0F578952365CE673.html

Right now it's at 28-29 inches, but I'd prefer it to be more like 24-25 inches. Are there any corsets or corset-websites you can recommend? How should I stay safe with it(I don't want to rearrange any bones or organs) and are corset-story's corsets effective?
if I am looking into orchard corsets then and I want to actually modify my body versus just shift my fat and organs, should I go with a corset that does not clinch as much versus very defined corsets? like maybe a scale of 2 or 1 vs 3? I am a beginner by the way. 18.

Where did you get the corset? Did you get it online or did you have to buy it at a special store??
So I'm almost 16 and wanna start where should I get my corset from?
I love your videos. You have honestly helped me so much. I'm so glad I found you ! Haha
Will you be making a video ever showing ALL of your corsets? If not on just laid out?
I love that waist size... What size waist is that???... Im 17 and in high school and I weigh 130 pounds... Back in middle school I used to be soo skinny that it was unattractive I weighed 94 pounds, I gained a lot of weight in my stomach and I hate it. And I want a waist just like the one here in this video... what would you reccomend... for starters my age.... and how would i begin waist training????
Awesome video.
What adult has a 22/23 inch waist. I always get called skinny but I'm 25/26 and so I feel my torso is wider than what the rest of my body is.
Your corset in this video is lovely! Where is it from? I would love one like it! :)
HI Ashley, it's the Emerald silk underbust by Timeless Trends. I actually liked this brand so much that I started distributing for them!
lucycorsetry.com/product/emerald-green-brocade-underbust-corset/
Yay! Thank you so much! :)
Is what your'e wearing here a "modern hourglass" or a conical? Because I'd prefer that look
I call it a Victorian hourglass, quite a smooth ") (" look as opposed to any dramatic ">
thank you for the information!
This prolly a stupid question but what's the point of waist training, if its not really permanent
Thanks for this!
Hello, I was just wondering where you purchase the custom made corsets?
Can you give me links to examples of the two corsets you're talking about (around 3:30) or the names please?
So, reading Jada's comment, I'm 16, and would like a corset, for 2 reasons. (1) I have a bad back-slumping problem, and I really want to fix that at an early age with a corset. (2) I don't have very prominent curves, and barely a waist at all, and I really want one. So is it unsafe for me to get a corset? Even if I don't cinch a lot?
Is there a name for the type of corset that pulls in the floating ribs?
Not specifically. Some people call it a conical or tapered silhouette, some call it a wasp waist silhouette. You can check out this gallery I made featuring many corset brands that specialize in this type of silhouette: lucycorsetry.com/2013/12/18/where-to-buy-conical-corsets-for-training-the-ribs/
Thank you :) that helps alot
Oh nd i love your videos theyre uber informative
Thank you, that was really informative and helpful :)
what do you think about waist training with the Brazilian squeem? is it a good investment?
where can i buy a corset like yours?
I now distribute for Timeless Trends; you can find the Emerald Silk underbust here: lucycorsetry.com/for-sale/new-otr-corsets/
thank u!!
GODDAMN UR 24 NOW
hi i new to corsets and i have always loved the way they look and feel but i have a naturally small waist that i don't want to reduce. what can i do not to shrink my waist?
I'm currently about to go on this amazing journey that is waist training
and although you've answered most of "my" questions, I'd still like to
know if it's possible for me to go from a natural 26' waist to a natural
23' waist (= measuring 23' all day without the corset while doing
maintainence for only 5-6 hours a day)?
how long did it take to get that 2 inch permanent waist reduction from 28 for you? would you attribute that reduction to weight loss or something like that at all? did you reduce your ribs? sorry to bombard you but there aren't many reliable sources for this type of info. :)
Since your waist training,do you wear your corset 23/7?
@bishonenrancher thank you so much... u great !!!
quick question, when corset training, if you get down to closing a corset, if you want to go smaller still do you then buy a corset a futher couple of inches lower than your corseted waist or from your natural waist?
That fabric is fantastic o.O
Dita Von Teese is one example of someone with permanent results. I wonder how she did it..
I used to have a tiny waist naturally (22 inches) but after 2 c-sections within 2 years and gaining lots of pregnancy weight, I just lost my waist, completely. What brand corset do you recommend for a curvy girl for waist training?
Could you give me an example of a"V" shaped corsets. I don't know what you mean and im looking for a permanent result. Please help. Thank you
Thank you Lucy!! Watching your videos has made me determined to be more disciplined in my waist training!
You are very beautiful, I love the corset and long hair, very Victorian.
This sounds REALLY painful..however its always interesting to hear about.....
If the corset is painful, then it's being done incorrectly! It shouldn't cause you distress. It's a _very_ slow and gradual process.
Is it dangerous to corset train if you have scoliosis? my ribs on my right side go in further than on my left
I have a question. I am musician(I play sax) and I want to corset. the lower part of the lungs get affected in the process?
@bishonenrancher Thank you so much! It seems I'll most likely go for the flat steel ones as the designs I've found are quite awesome anyway. (regarding reversible corsets) I agree that there's no knowing how strong a zipper would be. I think I would like to reduce my waist quite a lot as well (for shock factor and vanity) so I am settling for the prettiest flat steel one on available ^^ Also I can't stand waiting on a 3-week pre-order haha What would I ever do without you!
your really lucky u can afford these I've wanted one forever xx
Kathleen Ferguson Kathleen K
Underbust corset or Overbust corset? Which do you prefer and why?
this is meant to be a serious question why would one want to corset? im intersted but im not sure why it looks painfull and i dont want a 18 in i just want a flatter stomach
I'm 15 years old, do you think it's safe for me to start corset training?
If I were to buy a "waist training corset"...they have more steel boning... do I need to go a size smaller than my usual corset size? I have a 32" waist. My 30" corset is too big now (I lost weight) and so I am buying 28" corsets. However, this waist training underbust says "Potential Waist Reduction 6-7"...does that mean I buy a smaller at a 26"? It's pretty confusing. Also does it has to be specifically "waist training" to do any good?
Thank you! On way to it now :)
how long have u been waist training?
Also - Is it bad to corset if you do sports?
I'm just trying to compress my waist about 3-4 inches. Which corset would you suggest? I'm 22 years old, about 123lbs (119 on a good day).
Where can I get the corset you are wearing???
Hello, great videos =)
Im really interested in starting waist training, i was wondering do you know where i can find a waist training corset that will change my perminet shape outside of the corset? Does your tummy nd waistline look smaller outside your corset?
i just started waist training.... today is my first day..... how long should i wear it at a certain level of tightness before i start pulling it tighter
Try a reduction of two inches - your corset needs to be gently broken in like a pair of shoes, so it softens a bit. It also prevents damage to the corset and yourself! I have a day-by-day corset seasoning mini series here: ua-cam.com/play/PLd2O_kYv6eJylhxEXC6VYQj3yXbpzmKug.html
***** thanks much......
hi there I need some help with a corset that will help me eventually look like what your body looks like in this very video with your corset on-now is that possible for one to look like they have that type of body that you are showing with your corset on? Also I live in hamilton, ontario and I am new to this corset thing and I have no idea how to get started or where to find a store that i can walk in and buy from? I am a petite girl but have no hour-glass figure-kind of like squarish figure
where do you buy them???
So does that mean my natural waist wont be reduced at all? :/ I just bought my first corset, its 18" and my natural waist is 22". So will I have to go down to 16" to get a naturally smaller waist?
I still don't understand how the corset will help shrink your waist unless you're on a diet.
I have a playlist on physical effects of corseting, you might be interested in the "Corsets and Muscles" as well as "Corsets and Bones" to further explain the mechanism of how the corset can train your waist without weight loss. ua-cam.com/play/PL0F578952365CE673.html
Hi! I'm still very young, but I've noticed my waist get a bit larger each year(by about an inch) because I've gradually become lazier and lazier. Right now it's at 28-29 inches, but I'd prefer it to be more like 24-25 inches. Are there any corsets or corset-websites you can recommend? How should I stay safe with it(I don't want to rearrange any bones or organs) and are corset-story's corsets effective?
Great video! Thanks ;)
if I am looking into orchard corsets then and I want to actually modify my body versus just shift my fat and organs, should I go with a corset that does not clinch as much versus very defined corsets? like maybe a scale of 2 or 1 vs 3? I am a beginner by the way. 18.
Hi Lucy, I just have to ask do Orchard corsets offer any conical shape corsets or the conical shaped corsets are the most expensive ones? like let's say 300 dollars and over
***** thanks
