@darren motise Rosetta Stone and Living Languages do not teach Italian in the same way Manu does through his Italy Made Easy program. Rosetta Stone teaches words and phrases without grammar. Living Languages was a recording with workbooks. In his Italy Made Easy program, Manu uses grammar, pronunciation aids, drills, practice, homework, tips for remembering the lesson, along with the history behind different aspects of the language and Italian culture. The IME platform also gives students access to the teachers and other students, allowing everyone to ask questions, practice speaking, and encouraging each other. I spend the same amount of time each day with IME as I did with Rosetta Stone and Living Languages. I have learned more in the 5 months of IME as I did in the 2 years of Rosetta Stone and Living Languages.
@PaulaWordCrafts OK. I'm happy you explained. Those programs don't sound very good. I thought they were. Duolingo seems pretty bad to me, but maybe I never learned how to use it properly.
Manu is the best teacher I have ever had. I’ve been studying Italian with Italy Made Easy for almost three years now and have enjoyed every moment. I’m not naturally fast at learning and so I worked through the sessions in my own time without any pressure. Sometimes I went through the same section a few times to get full understanding and sometimes the sessions were quick and easy. The content is varied throughout the course so it doesn’t become tedious or boring. I’d definitely recommend this course for anyone wanting to learn Italian or to improve their current knowledge.
@@italymadeeasy I am that person that has some knowledge but doesn't have the confidence just to start talking. Io conosco un poco. I watched some of these free videos, but the first 6 or so are on pronunciation. Is this still for me?
Im about 60 lessons into the "Zero to Italian" program. I have been learning Italian on and off for years (I would say mostly off because I feel that, in hindsight, I wasn't putting in the effort), and all of the other programs I tried, make me REALLY appreciate Italy Made Easy. I was afraid of italian language before. but fortunately I saw one of your videos on utube. Now i am following your vodeos A to Z. I love to learn italian language very much. Your teaching pattern is excellent. Good job Mr. Manu👍.
Welcome to Italy, Chathmini! Don't be afraid of Italian language: with practice and commitment, you'll achieve wonderful results. Thank you for learning with our videos. A presto 🤗
sei proprio un bravo insegnate! I said the same thing....you are like a child again...to learn from the beginning. The fastest way is to immerse yourself in the culture and break through the intense frustration by being around Italian people and I mean Italy. You have to USE it and also get the sounds and the mouth to get used to it
@1:25:41 Not only do vowels get lost with the articles, they also get lost in sentences when the vowels of different words meet. So an ending -e and a leading a- will slur together and one vowel (usually, it seems, the preceding vowel) well disappear in spoken language. It shows up on paper, but doesn't get articulated.
You've really opened why i am struggling with learning Italian in the introductory video. Especially what you said regarding immersion. I am taught Italian in italian at the CPIA centre and my progress has been extremely slow. I've been here for 8-9months and its been slow. I must admit that learning the language only hearing everything being said in Italian has affected my attendance to the lessons. Grazie mille Manu per questo lezioni. God bless you
The end of July we traveled to Illinois for a family reunion on my Mom's Italian side AND a cousin from Italy and his wife were there and I got to meet them and talked to them. I wished I had more time but, of course, he was the center of attention and so many other American cousins there they ALL wanted to talk to him! lol But I will continue to write letters and we will keep in touch and the From Zero to Italian course and Manu and his wonderful team gave me the ability and the confidence to speak Italian with them. My cousin DID speak English, but, together we did speak Italian as well. And we made that start and we will continue so it can only get better in the future.
I love watching your videos. I really wanted to learn Italian with your site, to speak better with my family in Italy, Unfortunately I couldn't afford the up in price. But I will continue to watch your UA-cam videos because I enjoy your teaching.
Manu! Its been 3 months since your last video! Please come back! I love the 1-hr videos, senza inglese! Will be signing up soon for the subscription on your website.
By the way, I was watching on TV Italian series “Mia amica géniale” and, since most of the events were taking place in Naples, it was hard to understand because they were speaking with local dialect. One other thing: because of my line of work in entertainment, I was working one day with Nicoletta Mantovani, who was married to Luciano Pavarotti. I tried to speak with her in Italian and she complimented me on my skills, which was very flattering. That gives me even more motivation to study Italian!😊
Caio! Si Manu...I have been using your methods, albeit a bit slow for me since it takes me a bit longer around about a month, however, for anyone looking at learning Italian, you do an amazing job. I am thankful to you and the team who have put all of this stuff together for us to learn. It is a beautiful language and I am enjoying learning it so much more then I thought. Your process has been a huge help. This is hands down the best method I have found and has been keeping me encouraged to move forward. Grazie Manu!

Grazie mille for your support! 😊 We're so glad that the content has been helpful to you. Learning a language is such a rewarding journey, and it's amazing to hear that you're enjoying it.
I am enrolled in Part One of the Beginner's Course of "From Zero to Italian." I am a little over halfway through the course. I have memory problems and sometimes I need to refresh things I have learned in previous lessons. I have a lot of other tools that Manu has recommended: my own Quizlet sets; online Dictionary; online Verb Conjugation Tool. I also regularly research my own Italian ancestry online in documents in microfilms on Family Search. Sometimes I have gone back through the lessons to refresh my memory. These videos can serve the same purpose. So I will be watching all of these even as I progress with the lessons. So, Grazie mille Manu!
@@italymadeeasy Something interesting happened today. I took your advice about Immersion and I watched several episodes of "Portale del Verde" and then I watched an interview on QVC Italia and sometimes when somebody spoke I could see the words in my head. I did not know what all of them meant, but, I could see them and even sometimes "corrected mistakes." For example one time she said a word and in my head I saw some of the letters as "...sch..." and then I thought and realized that no it should be spelled "...sc..." not "...sch..." Things like that. Also in reference to any Italian content whether audio-visual, audio or even written such as official histories of comuni [Found on the official websites of the comuni] after more lessons I go back and find previous content and read or listen or watch it again and I am amazed at how much more I understand. So, I also use Immersion in that way. It is a good measure of how much I have improved which gives me a good feeling of encouragement. It's kind of a little reward for putting in the work. I do need to get better at speaking more quickly without having to think about how to say something. Some things are because I haven't learned them yet but sometimes even things I should know I stumble with how to be familiar and natural with it the same as in conversations in English.
I love the way you teach .you are a very loving and caring man with a lot of patience. Hopefully in future I can write them in your beautiful language Italian....Molto Grazie

Si, Manu. I am 75 years old and have been working this language for 2 years. It seems like two steps forward, 1.5 steps backward. I have yet managed to have any kind of real conversation with anyone who speaks the language. 'Non la capisco' is used most often. You have my committment, and full attention (for what it's worth), for 30 days.

Hi Manu! Just back from a fantastic holiday in Italy. I was so pleased when a shopkeeper asked me if I spoke Italian …! Un po, I said, but it was all down you and your superb course!
A presto 🤗
Mi piace ItalyMade EasyPodcast. Ascolto quando vado per una passeggiata. Grazie, Manu
grazie a te, Maria! 🥰 siamo contenti di farti compagnia quando vai a fare una passeggiata!
sei proprio un bravo insegnate!
God bless you
best of luck with learning Italian ❤️
How do you say in Italian - what is it called? or what's it called? or what do you call it? or what's its name? or what is the name of it? in Italian?
Thank you so much for you feedback! You are doing wonderful. Thanks for leaning Italian with us 🙏
@@italymadeeasy Grazie a Lei!
Thank you for your feedback, we are happy to know you appreciate our contents! Continue following us for more🥰
By the way, I was watching on TV Italian series “Mia amica géniale” and, since most of the events were taking place in Naples, it was hard to understand because they were speaking with local dialect. One other thing: because of my line of work in entertainment, I was working one day with Nicoletta Mantovani, who was married to Luciano Pavarotti. I tried to speak with her in Italian and she complimented me on my skills, which was very flattering. That gives me even more motivation to study Italian!😊
🤩 wonderful! You are very lucky to have met Nicoletta Mantovani, and great job trying to practise your Italian with her! 🤗

You're the best so far 🙌🙌🙌
The course and the teacher are excellent!
❤️ we are glad and grateful for having you as a student! Grazie mille a te!
@@italymadeeasy I am glad and grateful to be a student. My goal is to someday have dreams in Italian.
wow, wonderful! 😍 you'll get there! 💤🇮🇹
@WhyChromosomesmusic. what online verb conjugation tool do you use? because I have been looking for resources such as that.
I love the way you teach .you are a very loving and caring man with a lot of patience. Hopefully in future I can write them in your beautiful language Italian....Molto Grazie

Grazie mille, Manu! This has to be one of the best videos on UA-cam. Matt di Perth.
Manu thank you for taking the time to explain. This is very helpful
Thank you for following our channel! 🤗💕
Grazie mille for your dedication! 🌟 Remember, language learning is like a dance - sometimes you take a step back to move forward stronger! 💪 You've got this, and we’re here to help make each step count. Let’s make these 30 days amazing together!
Hi Manu! Just back from a fantastic holiday in Italy. I was so pleased when a shopkeeper asked me if I spoke Italian …! Un po, I said, but it was all down you and your superb course! Even my Italian speaking friend was impressed with my limited ability to string a few sentences together. Keep up the good work. We’re back in July to try again! 😮
❤️ wonderful, Mark! We are very glad to hear our course helped you! 🙏

Hi Manu the reason older people often have greater vocabulary is because we studied Latin at school. It's not taught much in the UK any more.
Buongiorno, Manu! Si, i'll gonna use your methods and try my best to return every Sunday to see how much i progressed with your methods, because from what i see people are really enjoying it. A dopoo!

Queensland eh? Anche sono di Queensland in Australia, abito a Brisbane.
I've been trying to learn italian at least 5 times a week for an hour or so for the past couple of months. This is a great video, i was super confused about the adjective placement but it makes sense now that you've said they usually follow the noun. I was trying to place things in the order they come in in english, thank you very much. I hope you tune into state of origin tonight!
Thank you so much for your comment, Thomas! We are glad this video clarified the placement of adjectives for you 🤗

But I've got a question about lesson 18.
Why don't we say "i coraggios'italiani" instead of "i coraggiosi italiani"?
The vowel died and left a tear 😂🥰 I love that!

The fastest way is to immerse yourself in the culture and break through the intense frustration by being around Italian people and I mean Italy. You have to USE it and also get the sounds and the mouth to get used to it. Listen to ITalian as you fall asleep......get it in your head. It must be an intense desire not a hobby. Reading aloud or just LOOKING at the words also gets it into your head and works the mouth. I listened to TOPO GIGO and childrens shows in Italian, better than infomercials
