Going to be an awesome build
Have you ever checked out Vito’s company for atv parts
How can I send you pictures of my R I replicated off of your R I would really like to show them to you
Lets go mike
yo i was watching your vids and the way you restore quads is awesome. i have a banshee which ripped when i bought but some dudes fu*ked it up when it was sitting outside and after repairing the banshee it isnt quite the same as it was. doesnt rip the same as it did before do you know what might be the problem. also the pistons fucked up
One of the only creators that keeps me watching all the way through every single video. Really appreciate the effort you put in to these. Ride on man👊🏻
Thank you for the feedback, compliment and support Beemer! Ride on 🤘👊
I couldnt agree more. I havent had or been into quads in 15+ years and i cant stop watching every video and im even poking around looking for an old beat up banshee to project on!
These builds are so satisfying to watch, seeing them go from dead too becoming fully functional machines again. Awesome work keep it up Sabo!
Thank you for always supporting brother 🤘
I like the fact you get angry you keep it real and do things correctly
Haha, it happens man; thank you for the love!
Mike man this is your effin year. I’ve been watching for a long time and the effort you’ve taken to make quality videos and quality work shows. The attention to detail is comparable to the best out there. Your channels exploding this year and with good reason!
MXJunkie, thank you for being here for the long haul even when things weren't good. Much more to come and thank you always for supporting and watching 🤘👊
@@MichaelSabo I think parting ways with that dude you where doing the quad wars thing with or whichever the first name was, was the best thing to happen man
@@MichaelSabo blessings in disguise
Hey Sabo! Im buying a KX250f soon and your Voodoo Banshee build inspired me to make my own Voodoo 250! Keep up the videos!
These videos are like therapy. I love watching this stuff. I'm extra interested in this one because I have a 660R.
Before I could never sit on UA-cam for an hour and watch a video. You're videos are the only on you tube I can be entertained that long for. Keep it up Mike!
Use heli-coils for fixing threads. They will hold stronger than the aluminum they are embedded in. If it's good enough for aerospace it's definitely good enough for a quad.
Thank you for the tip man! I was actually able to repair these threads and forgot to put it in the video! I'll have it in the next one
No rebuild is complete without swearing! Great job explaining everything highly informative and entertaining :)
Always enjoy watching you save quads and bikes so they don’t end up rotting away or in a junkyard 👍🏻
So glad I found you and Fast John. Restoring my first 660 with my kids, gonna build a monster!
hell of a good job on the frame!
Thank you Rob!
I just started watching this channel. I like how you do a great job of describing how to do things. Then also your sense of humor with the used parts.
24:57 ✌🏻you make awesome restorations 🥰
Thank you dude!
Dude? Did you know how many young kids learned how to work on these Riggs with their own? You are seasoned at this! I'm sticking up for the young bucks though! Great video
100% man! It's awesome to see the younger generation in here learning from what I put out there! Thank you for the love 🤘
Another great video, Mike. Your quad and bike work are top notch. I have to say you have inspired me to get back into reviving some of these older machines myself. And no need to apologize for getting angry at the end. I actually played it over a couple of times laughing my ass off because we all have been there.😂
Thank you man. Lol, I'm glad you said that because sometimes I'm not sure if I should include the rage parts but I feel like everyone can relate to that.
awh Mike I would have left that face plate that black or dark gray. I think it looked better that way. but good job can't wait to see her put back to gether and running. I'm doing the same thing to my 00 400ex. should have her all put back to gether and running this weekend.
Hello Mike Just a suggestion It would be cool to see you fully re build a honda 300ex
Man that frame was long gone, unbelievable that you were able to save it! Cant wait to see the next video. Love the colours so far!
Thank you dude; it's still going to have to undergo some hard hits from the whoops before I'm convinced its good for the next owner
Have you ever tried plastic welding before? A lot of abs plastic can be welded and be strong as the original plastic. I did it during the late 80's fixing cracks and breaks on sport bike plastic. I don't know if this is a lost art, but it sure save money for my friends and myself.
Dude, these builds, the video, the editing is seriously unbelievable! Best on UA-cam hands 🙌🏻 down!
That color scheme is the shiznit! What a sick build!
Hahaha what a great word, "shiznit." Thank you for the love brother!
Worked at a metal office furniture factory and they powdercoated everything
The most durable color we had was 668 textured black. It looked great aand was super hard to scratch vs any of our smooth colors.
I own one too and rebuild it completely about last year and drove 7000 miles on it. The only problem so far has been the stator, the clutch and the big nut, thats on the clutch side of the crank.
These engines are so great and I love to ride it every time.
This channel is amazing. I love your honesty and detail on all builds.
Appreciated the comment about how much work you put into it so we don’t try ourselves and get discouraged
Think you should paint the radiator cover satin black! The off coloured white is going to throw the whole thing off, also think the nets would look better in black too 👍🏼
Ive been really busy lately with work and getting my machines ready for the season, tons of issues. Your vids always give motivation man thank you!
I’ve been binging all of your builds, and the attention to detail is amazing, love the videos!
Comment for the algorithm. One of my favorite youtubers! Always looking for the next vid. Best rgds from Germany
ESP when working with frames and stress points your always going to be better to run single line stringer beads with a mig than weave. Little easier to avoid some the undercut you have run hot enough they will lay in nice and clean looking but for not being a welder and in your garage you fixed it the right way so I give props where deserved. Keep up the great content.
I look forward to these videos all week! Love the content! Great person behind it as well!
Thats a great deal on the old seat cover 😁🤣...nice little touch of humor to the video and also you do some great work my man, its the attention to detail that so many others fail to do sometimes!
The color schemes on your builds are insane 🔥 you make it seem easy. Sweet powder coating!
Thank you bro; glad you like the colors 🤘
Michael, I don’t know shit about quads. You made me buy a 2002 Yamaha Raptor 660r. Hopefully I have some success in finding parts and making it look awesome. I will keep looking out for more of your videos. Keep up that awesome content coming. Enjoyed watching your builds.
I'm glad you left that part in. Make me chuckle 🤣🤣. As always great content!
Very thorough with your work 👍love watching these videos ! Keep up the awesome work🤘🤘
Another great one Mike! The effort you put into your builds AND videos is outstanding! I've probably mentioned this before but I'm a 2 wheel guy and yet here I am watching you build quads. ROCK ON 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
This video has over 4.5k views and and under 500 likes, Mike gives us great content and entertainment and even a whole ton of knowledge... The least we can do is take 1 second out of our day to like the video we just spend an hr watching and enjoying, Give this man a like and support him as he puts a whole ton of effort and long tiring days in to entertain us
What are you, his cheerleader? 🤣
I think the grill looked better gray--it offered more contrast and matched the frame. Anyway, the 660 is a great machine. I've done a lot of mods to mine.
Hood/grill might look awesome green as well if he can't find a white that matches.
Colored definitely looked good too; I want to see what it looks like with graphics on there and I may change it. I have some plans for contrast!
But we love watching you put them together even the small tickering stuff your the best quad restorer on UA-cam brother
Thank you for that Eric, glad you enjoy and thank you for supporting 🤘
Amazing man, love your work! You have so much patience for completely rebuilding a bike that's so far gone and turning it into a dream machine.
I like that you actually show the woes that go into rebuilding a bike or atv. Most people hide alot of that. Anyways can we get another dirt bike build
Thanks for the video Mike, I’m currently splicing a frame on a YZ250, rotten frame rails, some advice is to support before doing any cutting to keep frame rails straight and aligned, good job on the repair and the weld isn’t terrible either 😀 try and treat the inside of the frame with a lubricant or anti-corrosion spray in the holes to keep moisture at bay. It will slow down/neutralize what rust remains in the frame.
Great video bro! Can’t wait for the next one!!! I work nights at GM and love watching your vids to pass the time!!
Thank you for the love man; I'm glad you enjoy my videos 🤘
I just came across you channel and as soon as I heard you say wooder I knew you were local haha you do great work, I can't wait to watch more videos.
Love the seat cover pitch! Lol I’ll give ya $500! Can’t get mint parts like that often lol 😝 the build looks so good man, always kicking ass! The frame came out beautifully!
Finally! Seems like it was an eternity!! Hell yeah brother!!
Watching ever add to help out and got my pop corn ready! Watching it on the big screen! Can’t wait to see how it comes out ! Like always grate videos this would make a awesome TV show!
Huge compliment Aaron! Thank you for the love and extra support 🤘🤘
Finally you posted the video deff your number one fan here I follow you on everything hoping to meet you one day!
Always a good day when mike uploads
So true
Thank you for always watching 🤘🤘
It’s amazing the fixes you come up with. Great content.
The seat cover bit had me on the floor! 🤣😂
Lmao!! I had trouble keeping a straight face
Looks good man! I am glad I am not the only dude that blows gaskets when working on shizz
Haha, it happens all the time
Felt this video in my soul bro, from the clever ways you come up with to fix some parts, to having to have everything symmetrical, to cussing at greasy parts. Lmao you and I are identical in the garage. Check out alpine white for that grill. It should match the plastics damn near perfect.
Bro, it sounds like we are cut from the same cloth. I will check out alpine white 🤘 Thank you
Dude now that’s what u call a super 360 on that frame awesome job man
Looks great Mike! 👍 As always top notch workmanship. No corners ever cut! I would be proud to buy any of your builds. Pls let me know if you find a good candidate Suzuki quad for a build. Will buy it from ya! 2-stroke or 4-stroke is fine. Prefer a modern 4-stroke. God bless!! -Ohio
thanks for sticking with the 660 and not the trailer build. im also restoring an 01' 660!
Just wow! That frame colour pops 😍
Still awsome content, can't believe how your consistency on these videos man. Whatever or however your doing it, keep it up man. Your channel has grown and may it just get bigger!!!!! Thanx for quality content mike🤜🏻🤛🏻
Hey drill out the threads on the swing arm and put a steel thread insert/ helicoil in there. Super easy.
Good idea; I actually was able to repair the threads and forgot to put it in the video! I'll have it in the next one.
Can't wait for the next video 🤙keep up the great work 👏 I'm a raptor 660 owner my self love this quad's great job so far bro...
Always love to see your craftsmanship and passion. Actually motivated me to go build something I thought of doing a while back.
I had a frame do something like that. I washed it and then stored it in a shed for about a year standing up on its grab bar and the watter settled in the frame at that location. It rusted through from the inside of the frame and I bought a whole new frame. Im not much of a fabricator yet and dont know how to weld. I know as I build this 86 250R Ill have to have some people do some things for me, maybe I can find someone to teach me some of that stuff. Good job on the frame repair, it looks like it will hold just fine.
Thank you man; I think the exact same thing happened to this one; something like you said or it was leaned up against a wall outside and the lower rear rails were on the ground in mud or something.
@@MichaelSabo Yup, it doesnt take much moisture to get inside the frame to rot it from the inside out. There is no coating or protection on the inside. I learned my lesson, I will not store a machine right after washing it. I will let it sit outside for a bit and let the water leave any cracks, crevices, or holes of the machine…
Awesome video, the detailed instructions are top notch and incredibly helpful while working on my own 660 project. Thanks for the video!
Hell yeah man she’s looking so sweet love seeing raptor builds keep up the great work 👍🏽😁👍🏽
Thank you for following the build Garth!
The frame looks awesome in that color! I feel like that grill should have been the same color😁
Dude... great mins think alike... it still may change; I want to see what it looks like with graphics first.
Went from ASPCA to buzz lightyear! Sweet looking bike!
That's actually a good name for a build man; thank you!
Future video idea! Find a old 400ex with a really badly seized swing arm bolt and make a detailed video on how to remove it because there really isn’t anything out there and that is a pain mine came out in 3 pieces! But keep up the awesome content as always!
That thing looks amazing dude I can't wait to see it complete....love the color too.
hey im new to channel ,, but love content got me looking for project raced and rode YEARS ago but i miss my off road days keep up content.. AWESOME
Great video this is my favorite so far. You should look into grabbing a plastic welder could save you some cash and extra work in the future. Plus they’re super cheap.
Thank you man and good call! I actually have one but I'm not the greatest at using it. I've tried to fix this exact issue on other machines only to have them snap shortly after.
It. Reminded me of the Kfx 450 build With the color of the seat and the white plastics and everything
Dude I was thinking the same thing!! Very similar colors to the first time I built it when it was white
Another great vid, literally the only channel I watch every upload and can’t wait for the next one to drop! Do you have any vids coming on the trailer build soon ?
This makes me want to rebuild my 200x thanks keep it up
Thanks for another build video. You help alot of people out including myself
I used bonehead performance coating because of you and they did an awesome job, parts look amazing. They wrapped my parts up really well also
Checking your channel everyday for a new video and this one looks good. Havent even watched yet.
You're the man! Thank you for always checking 🤘
nice work . i saw that bolt got tossed out of the lathe chuck by the head being gouged. now i always center drill and use a live center to support bolts, as i did the same thing many times in a lathe.
hey my man good afternoon man.like you was listening to me in my mind.glad you use the bracket were the headlight are make for. glad you did and I believe in original bracket at all time.
It’s going to look great!! Love the color scheme!!
Use antiseize compond on the aluminum swing arm to help prevent corrosion.
Just a tip on the torque wrench, when the green light is flashing it means your approaching the torque you set it to and when the light stays green it means you met the torque when it goes red it means you went above the torque. But other than that the build is awesome!!
Very cool job on the weld and video. Quality job as usual. Thanks for sharing 😉
I appreciate the love man!
man I love the battleship grey on the frame. And I'm a sucker for white plastics for some reason. 🤔 The contrast makes it pop just as much as the green.❤
Also I hate to say it but I think I liked the black grill better. The white worked great on the 700 but not so much on this one. Love the headlights though...lol.😅
Thank you for the love man! Grill is subject to change once I see it with graphics but I do have another idea for contrast in the grill!
New sub here. Can’t tell you how refreshing it is to see things done right! Do like Mike says and buy the service manual people! The swearing at the end had me dying. I’m always telling my wife that swearing at inanimate objects is part of being a man. She doesn’t believe it helps, but the video doesn’t lie. That bearing cap straightened up real quick after it got a talking to.
You should build a raptor 350 you could have the whole line up, a raptor 350 raptor 660 and also build a raptor 700!
I would love to see you do a suzuki ltr450 they may be older but probably the best 450 quad ever amazing power especially after just adding the cherry bomb on it
I remember the cherry bombs! I have an LTR on the list man!
@@MichaelSabo I loved mine raced it while stationed in California sold it when I moved ill put it up against any racing quad
Hell yeah man . the content is just really good . so much time goes into these builds .
Its rare that i watch videos that are longer than 20 minutes, but ive just watched 4 of your videos since last night, brilliantly edited, informative and satisfying to watch, regarding the amateurish nature the bike was previously put together it probably belonged to some teenager who was trying to learn the trade, it would be interesting at the end if you made a list of the items from the original bike which was actually re-used. Lastly, as a Suzuki ltz 400 (2007) owner, do you have any videos of yourself working on this bike?
I needed brighter lights on mine, I went with a dual row 10 inch LED light bar (30W draw) mounted to the handlebar with a Rigid Industries universal mount plate and two motorcycle LED drive lights mounted to the front grab bar. Think the drive lights are 20 or 30W draw each. Made custom pigtails using the factory wiring harness connectors. Wired so the front grab bar lights and light bar come on together on high beam and just the grab bar lights come on in low. Total power draw stayed within what the stator can handle.
Idk what's worse, yamahas swing arm for the 660 or suzukis design for the ltz400. Either way, great video 🤘
Facts man! Thank you 🤘
Love your videos sabo can't wait to see this one finished! Hope it turns out at least close to as nice as the banshee did👍
Thoes raptor frames have an issue with the frame filling with water id suggest breathing hole at the bottom or drain hole. Oh do you got sabo stickers?
Spraying some fluid film on the inside too will help prevent corrosion too. Definitely agree with the weep hole comment
You’re being very generous! Only 130 for that seat cover? I’ll take it 😂
My man whippin out the harbor freight tools 😂 what a guy.
Sometimes on those really stubborn seized bolts it’s beast to go in and out and slowly work out. It’ll help free the threads and tremendously reduce broken the amount of broken bolts!
Those threads need some helicoils so you have good securement. Anti seize definitely helps the adjuster bolts. Also when removing bolts that stuck, switch back from reverse to forward, back and forth. It helps break corrosion on the threads so they don't get as torn up.
YES MORE HELI-COILS THE WORLD NEEDS THEM, AS WELL AS RIV-NUTS . WHAT DO YOU THINK?
i’ve been waiting for this video for a few days now😁
Thank you for waiting and for watching!
