      I'm currently going to school for a career field called nondestructive testing(NDT) and in this school I have learned that gears actually start to develop small almost microscopic cracks along the base of the teeth and due to a lack of lubrication, excessive heat, and/or excessive use these small microscopic cracks get worse and eventually cause the teeth to break off.... I'm sure you can put 2 and 2 together to figure out why exactly those teeth are tore up.... could've been a gnarly backfire too

    Dude I just have to say. I had the headlight problem myself with my 660r prices are insane. I was at tractor supply one day and stumbled upon a set of 2 light led lights. 30 bucks and wired them into the factory harness. They look better than stock and light up my whole neighborhood. Super bright. Only thing I had to do was make mounting brackets and use the brackets that came with it. They look good and bright.

    Bro, that starter cover should have a gasket, the gasket provides the correct distance for clearances for the gears.
    The clutch drive gear was likely broken or fractured by someone changing out the clutch using steel on steel instead of gear stopper, and then the teeth likely broke and caused the clutch to bounce, thus breaking the cover support area for the clutch pressure plate release.

    I just hard wired the fan on my 660 as the temp sensor was bad. That way the fan is always on when the key is on, quick fail safe. Probably would have been a good ideas to do before the top speed runs. They say alot of raptors don't really get hot or need the fan but I'm not trying to find out.

    • @linkinpiatak6669

      Y not just get a new temp sensor

    • @bidenstoletheelection9116
      @bidenstoletheelection9116 Рік тому

      It'd have no reason to even have the fan on a top speed run as there's so much air going through radiator the fan actually acts like a obstruction on other side as the air passes through radiator, The onlytime a Raptor even gets hot enough to turn fan on is during very low speed riding and idling, No need to run fan all the time as does absolutely no good as Raptors have thermostats that make them warm up faster, By using a fan at all times has Zero affect on lowering its temperature, That only occurs when entire cooling system is past the thermostats temperature and coolant is at constant flow, Stock temp sensor kicks on the fan just enough to bring temp back down until thermostat opens again, This is how any cooling system functions including old and new vehicles

    Dude take it from someone who ruined a Kawasaki because I used a Fram oil filter. They are the worst oil filters you can use. They are lacking a real bypass mechanism and if your oil gets a little dirty the filter becomes clogged very easily and the bypass does not open up properly so you end up with oil starvation. Results are a burned up engine or the least burned bearings or worse ruined crankshaft or cam. The damage you have in that engine could have been caused by the oil filters being used on your machine.

It handles well too. Maybe take the nerf bar off and beat it with a hammer to straighten it out? I think a come along hooked to a tree might pull it out. but you might have to chain it to a truck to keep it from sliding. Maybe just get a used nerf bar and head light.
