What a beautiful stream! Searching a location like that is a dream come true. Thanks for sharing. Hope to see you facet some of that citrine some time.
Betya Merv was a little stiiff and sore the next day! We have just moved to bush area that backs onto a river. I cant wait to explore it for gemstones but have no idea about rocks so this was very helpgul. Awesome video thank you 🎉
And now this wonderful small cristal we found in this lab in the harbor area. Its common these places and is often called methia by christal enthusiasts.
That seive has some mighty big holes in it.... Only after the big ones eh? Any diamonds, gold specs or Sapphires will fall through. Without giving too much away, what part of Aus is this? North Vic? Loosk like you could have flicked a few trout lures.
Yeah I was crying when they put that all through being a good prospector myself. Thinking of all the pickers they must have washed away but then again could be no where near any gold but would have missed some good gems

Finding the stones, to me is the best part. This year I hope to also start cutting them. Your channel is a start.I really appreciate the tips you share.
What a fun video. That stream got me excited the moment it came into view, Cliff. Awesome! The old gold panning guy in me kept looking for black sand. LOL Thanks to you and Merv for taking the time to make this video. Much fun.
Thanks John. I saw some black sand on the shovel in one spot, but there were no gems. I know what you mean, I did a lot of gold panning in my younger days. I still have my old sluice box.
u need go up the river and find core place, where all this crystal came from. Need only 1 meter titanium rod, pick and the showel. Is digging quartz vein is legal in australia
In Victoria where he is you need a mining licence to do any sort of prospecting. It's not expensive but the fine for getting caught without is very pricey.
Vintage Time I had to google echidna, I didn’t know what they were. They look great . They eat ants. Do you have ants bring garnet to the surface like I’ve heard about in other countries?
So good that you don't put music in the background rather just nature - love it

Amazing video! Like a adventure storybook, considering European autumn night I have here)
There are some amazing places in Australia. Spring and Autumn are the best seasons.
Yeah nice. I found my 1st clear quartz crystal the other day, quiet surprised to say the least
You should have a secondary operation and pan for gold as well! Idk if that area has gold but it might

@@VintageTimeGems if you are thinking of selling it let us know I'm looking to buy one also from Vic.
Where abouts in Victoria is this?!
I'm from Victoria too 😄 as soon as lockdown is lifted, I'm going to look for some cristals too 😁
Happy fossicking....
Fantastic.
Thanks
Awesome stuff mate ⛏️😎👌

Have you ever faceted moissanite? I don’t want to be picky but a pharaohs eye cut moissanite would look so amazing with how sparkly it is!
Yes I have. I made a video on faceting moissanite.
@@VintageTimeGems thank you!
I am a big fan of gems
Paisagem incrível 👍👍👍👍👍🇧🇷
Thanks
what sort of soil would i look for when fossicking. I am a complete novice. But like rock hunting.
Lovely little stream. What part of the state is that in and was it on private property that you had to get permission to access?
I doubt he'd say where his spot is!
@@lambchop6278 What part of "what PART OF THE STATE" do you not understand? Not asking for a post code.
Real shame he doesn't even let you know where abouts it is or if it's private property..concerned someone might get a better find than him 🤷🏻♀️..
Please.is possible to find diamond in the stuff where there have calcite.pl.answere me
do you think meteorite glass could survive in creeks?
Why not? Best place to find it would be where there is evidence of a crator. There is one in North Western Victoria.
@@greghayes9118 I was thinking of moldavite that is scattered over much of Central Europe
I love youer vid

So your talking theres crystals in Australia?!i live in Australia
Apart from Kangaroo tracks. Do you see much other wild animals on your travels?
Plenty of Australian parrots, birds. Saw a Echidna the other day on a Sunday drive.
Vintage Time I had to google echidna, I didn’t know what they were. They look great . They eat ants. Do you have ants bring garnet to the surface like I’ve heard about in other countries?
There probably nice gold in crevices
I doubt it, but I should try? Cheers Cliff
Why doesn’t Australia have amazing crystals like they have in the US and other countries?
Geologically as a continent it's a lot older making the quality poorer during to weathering and other factors.

Oh, it's a real shame. If there was I'd be out there digging😊
We do. Australia has the largest coloured diamond reserve in the world.
Super like 💎🤝
Half way through the video it looked like you had just about killed Merv 😂

You need to get yourself one of those cheap gimbals.
