Understand chasing the trace NSW opal miner here. Hanging rock just outside Tamworth near the twin dams worth going through the waste rock piles that where dumped chasing the gold, crystals meant nothing 2 the them at the time , drive up to the twin dams and on the right hand side before you crest the hill there is a dirt track you will find where they dumped the over burden , its full of very nice crystals and other thingys.
@@VoGusProspecting We have AMAZING amethyst mines here on the East Coast of the U.S. where I live. I haven't been to any of them yet, but I hope to someday. 🤞😊
as a long time Aussie sub, i cannot thank you enough for these vids, i live vicariously through these vids and appreciate you sharing this conetnt with us. You cant imagee how excited i get to see your vids in my inbox. Please continue to share your escapades, i will continue to watch.
Chris, love your passion for gold and gemstones and it was great to have a chat with you at the Anakie gem festival in August this year. Keep the videos coming young man. We ended up with some very nice Topaz and O/K Sapphire, and a couple of small gold nuggets, for our prospecting trip to Australia this year. Joe and Sandra from NZ.
1st like, I believe. Thanks Chris, great to see Mick again, proof of life video, ha ha! So interesting to see the same type of granite countryside as we have nearby in outer suburban Melbourne, the Dandenong Ranges, and we'd certainly come by crystals of various types, but also faces of clusters, but haven't actively clambered about the rock faces and under the cracks as you have, to locate their origins, so this has been a highly informative and motivating episode! Best of luck finding amethysts and citrines, you're close with smokey's, as you'd explained recently. Cheers from Gabi of Narre Warren.
Thank you for giving us a view of the countryside/outcrops where you are specking. I’ve been fossicking for a while now but haven’t managed to find a good deposit or vug, even though the geology all matches up to find nice quartz points. Seeing those actual rocky outcrops and the way you followed the quartz veins was really helpful
I have found hundreds over the years i never new they were worth anything i know there is gold in the gullies where i have seen crystals i might have to go camping soon
I think I might have to watch the mini Stumpy sluice vid again, I may have spotted a crucial design flaw which could be losing you gold. It bothered me as soon as I saw it.
@@VoGusProspecting sorry bit busy just looked again, the hole in the sluice bed for the bolt holding the top Jarvie (?) riffle, right where the richest concentrates were. It looks fine during operation but when the bolt is removed for clean-up there's a hole there. But, it is a great looking machine, looks very well designed. Off limits for us here in nsw though
I have something similar to the last piece shown from around beechy area, would love to know what kind of acid you use to remove some of that in between stuff. I don’t want to use the wrong thing damage my crystals! Please let me know!
You should check out the peridot you can get from the scoria mine at Mortlake. You bring a hammer and break the scoria balls and can get some awesome peridot. You need to contact the Mt Shadforth mine people for permission. I think it's free to go in, but you need your permits and permission.
Get hammer and some feather and wedges and a small hammer drill not to pricey or an investment for the reward of carrying out less weight in host and more crystals. Love your videos keep up the hunt and adventures.
Say Chris, reach out to Dan Hurd .He has been doing some UA-cam videos along side the Folks from Silver Cove Gems based in Red Deer Alberta. They might have some tricks to help you clean up your crystals. Also can you use Electric Drill along with Feather and Wedges ? Or is it against the rules on your Public Lands. Dan uses them all time on his Gem Claims. As always love your content. Cheers from Red Deer Alberta Canada 🇨🇦
We’re gonna go out and I wanna ride around or I wanna go look for stones or maggots or Easter eggs Not the eggs you’re thinking I’m bringing a chainsaw with me. She never know when you’re gonna have to clear the road of fallen trees.
What's a nice gemstones they're pretty in everything but it's just not my cup of tea😂 I love gold😂 gold is pretty feels good in your hand feels good in your bank account
I lost over $80k when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong. It took me over two years of being in the market, I'm really grateful I found one source to recover my money, at least $10k profits weekly. Thanks. Tracy Annette

if you want top of the class crystals go to Arkansas in the U.S. around the hot springs area when I took my youngest son 35 years ago it cost 10 dollars a day for to dig and you can keep everything you find. Lots of sky clear Big quartz ( like 4 to 8 pounds bid) some amethysts , and a lot of dark smokies as well. Look it up.

Hey Mick and family 😊❤ .... loving all the things, Chris!
Mick! Glad to see you’re not dead!! Good video Chris! Crystal’s are cool.
Very cool. When I was a lot younger I used to find quite a bit of clear crystals in gullies near homes.
nice thank you for sharing the adventure and information
Now that's a thumbnail 👌 great episode enjoyed that👍
Good hunt Chris. Got some nice ones. Hope all is semi aligned now 😁👍

Beautiful, thank you. Chris
Were you digging in the cracks in Rundle mall this morning. I thought it was you but wasn’t sure
Great content.
That’s one thing I haven’t done is crystal hunting. Maybe one day in the future
Giving me motivation to get out and explore
Nice finds
Pretty cool adventure to take Mick’s son along
good to see Mick again!!!!
Tell Mic thank you for taking his son . Blessings from a dad . Thank you Chris Blessings
Great to see Mick too.
Absolutely beautiful explanation. Would love to be able to come along one day but don't know if that's possible
Haven't seen MC in a Fortnight. Glad hes still with us lol.
Miss seeing Fern on your adventures :( you should get some feather & wedges to break rock apart

Wooden probes and other wooden tools ensure you don't dmg crystals and work almost as well.
I’m really surprised 😮 you didn’t have a Chainsaw with you !

I wonder, I wonder if you'll find the plunder.
Quartz seems to be a very generous rock since it indicates the presence of gold & now, amethysts.
Great content mate, do you use oxalic acid for clean up, or something else? Cheers Chris 🍻
I use water and an ultrasonic
im curious , have you ever put a black light, uv,or any other color s on the ?
No. I'm colourblind so I can't see the change.
@@VoGusProspecting yes i know daddy was also. But you have friends that aren't perhaps they could tell you the differences
The swing twenties? Watch out for the upside down pineapples🤣
Quick question have you ever used dowsing rods

Vugs are the name of those crystal lined holes from memory. It's a very old memory.
Um.. have you ever had a chance to try out those glasses that are for someone who is colorblind? Something that's really worth looking into.
Is that Akka Bilk playing the music ?

Wholy sheit, Mick's alive... I heard he got abducted by the Beechworth Yowie..😂👍❤️
Amethyst loses colour in the sunlight, that's why everything on the surface is grey. You need to get underneath where the sun never shines.
Hey Mick! How have you been man?
Ive seen gem people bring a spray bottle & extra water to help reveal crystals
Criss is gold found with quarts crystals attached? Or rather in a specimen?
Mick x 2? Say it ain't so. 👍😉

Most natural areas where exposed crystals form are completely trashed
not all of them

Dandy crystals.

He was just as surprised as most of .y subs
Deff. Power wash and soak those clusters in acid! Then do a before and after!❤
Amethyst fades in sunlight to white or smokey quartz.
Take a spray bottle with you next time to wash your specimens to see them better
Watced, but have to say I prefer the gold videos
Word of advice, there at the end, looks like Fern left something in your mustachio...🤭

So gold is a no go for power tools in the bush what about chrystals?
What you should be looking for is pegmatite
Darn, it sucks your camera didn't like focusing on your hand this one. Those looked sick even out of focus!
Shouldn't there be tuns of gold in those crystal formation s

Hot tip, take a chainsaw on your journeys 😊
I normally do! I literally took it out of the truck the day prior
Your website isn't working. Goes to some betting site.
You need to take a rock chisel and hammer, anywhere there is a crack in a rock try an d crack it open.
I have sent you an email.
chris buddy you need to carry a spray bottle when tour hunting crystals and gold work smarter not harder
You never bring a hammer and chisel it honestly makes no fu,cking sense
