💙 visited Torrington many years ago 💙 not too far away a day of panning turned up some nice blue gems 💙 my Dad had them facetted and I have them set in a ring I will keep for Eternity 💙
Nice finds, another impressive video. You seem to have had a good time. I must have missed the notification for this video and possibly others. I will have to check more often.
What an amazing trip you two had. May I ask where you acquired your knowledge of all the gemstones you find? How to tell the difference between them. I have been prospecting for gold for a few years and only recently discovered your channel and now you have gotten me interested in searching for gemstones. Have a wonderful weekend
Thanks Rustic, Ashleigh is a jeweller and has been acquiring knowledge for years. As you can see in the video I did make a few mistakes on a couple things we were finding. However a good geology book and a little passion out in the field you start to pick up different things here and there. Gemstones in creeks will generally settle in the same spots gold will as they’re heavy. So you may find you know more about where to find them than you think if you have done prospecting. Have a Google and see what’s around your area and start looking, it’s quite fun and addictive :) Have an awesome weekend to!
Amazing finds , nice to have a soul mate to share this lovely adventure , does she have a sister that likes rocks as well?! :))) , cool video guys cya around
Lots to find around torrington! Just be careful as some of the locals think they own the conservation park and will try to hunt you out, especially around bismuth dam/fielders hill..pacific copper is private property so dont fossick there. not naming names but.
Not aqua marine it’s blue topaz.. I personally have fossicked at Torrington a lot, also a little handy tip Don’t over load ur pans, I know I still struggling with over scoping, wanting the goodies but makes it easier for yourself
Yeah we realised it was blue topaz after the fact. Oh well. It’s so hard not to overload the pans haha. Had a ball though, next time we go back we want to get some aqua. Thanks for the comment :)
Back in thecearly 1990s i seen bucketbloads of emerald come out torrington by to europeans andcwhen they left there was still enough to cover two kitchen tables and a topaz crystal about 6 inches high studded with emeralds😮
Yeah somewhere up there. I haven’t actually found the mine itself. Just explored the surrounding areas and found what we showed in the video. That was just off the road
awesome video guys, i keep wanting to go to that area, but to get there i have to drive past my usual gold fossicking river and i get distracted easily lol. with winter going i might just do more research and get out there and do it.

Hey guys, Love the video!
I was just wondering if the emerald mine is a klm or two to the right of the dam? We have never been able to find it 😢
Yeah somewhere up there. I haven’t actually found the mine itself. Just explored the surrounding areas and found what we showed in the video. That was just off the road
What are those clear stones. it would be good if you guys could comment on what you actually find as you go along. Most of us have no idea.
The clear ones are Topaz. Iv have never thought to do that so will make more of an effort.
