@@crwarren Iron is strengthened by the bearer's will. If it fails, it is because the bearer is unforgivably weak and deserves his fate. Also, vehicles aren't great this edition, but still, HE WAS TOO WEAK!!!

I have never seen rolling like that before. by the end of the second turn I just felt bad for the iron hands. the math gods said thats not possible, and the dice gods said oh yes it is lol
Missed a trick on that one mate! I can’t complain too much about my dice, I seem to be terrible on channel but before I could roll 6s for fun so it’s probably time I get paid back!
When you multi charged the recons and headhunters you rolled three attacks with your power fists. Would have only been two due to the multi charge making it disordered. Do the Immortals have the Heart of the Legion rule on their profile? If not they wouldn't get the increase the the FNP rule. The Sicaran accelerator autocannon lost twin linked in this edition.
Hey mate! Ye got the charge and twin linked wrong, will have to make sure for next time! The immortals we’re getting heart from company of bitter iron ROW though!
@@BearfootMiniatures yeah it was just a quick "move the front guy 7" but then you moved the back guys all the way up to get close. No dramas as maybe the iron hands needed the extra speed this day.
My ass just exploded after first turn from an amount of 6 roles...I don't know how you continued playing. To avoid such shit just need to play same dice
Thats some cheesy list the Iron Hands are facing. Primarch with Firedrakes, 3x contemptors, snipers, lasconnon heavy squad. Heresy is not a balanced game :) .
Only thing missing to this list is a full Volkite Caliver section for total cheese play. But the IH list that does best as an enduring shooty shooty was very aggressively rushing to melee. And why put a cerberus on the front line on turn 1, that's just inviting to focus fire instead of spreading to less costly units. And where are the Scorpius ? Where is the recon or seeker section ? Am I missing something ?
Ill be fair to craig here: he told me what he had as an army beforehand and I sorta just wanted to play with the stuff I was putting down regardless which maybe I shouldve increased stregth of the hands to match, but really wanted to try COBI
I'm very conscious of the list, I don't think 3 dreads and a primarch in 3.5k is too over the top, but if the opponent doesn't have any dreads or a primarch it will be OP. My RoW also incentivises leaving vehicles at home. I'm working on a different list to bring more tanks and less primarchs
@@crwarren I'm not picking on your choice Craig . For a 3.5K list. it seems to me totally OK to bring to the table. That would be sad to bar certain units from the game. But to manage a balanced and fun game, I would plan ahead with the opponent player to also bring a list including a Primarch and dreads. Once again, it's not the fact that you brought an optimized and up to meta list to the table that got me puzzled, it's your opponent choice to bring that list and tactics. I'm not even sure this list would have fared any better against a World Eaters force whose strenghts and weaknesses are vastly different from the AL...
@@crwarren I don't think the list is cheesy at all - one major unit per side (cerberus/primarch) among other pretty standard units. Lascannon units are strong, so are dreads, but to be expected at 3k. Max 1 dread per 1k is a good rule of thumb for friendly games, however they are still very powerful, and choosing not to bring any hamstrings any list. Combined with bad positioning, really open terrain and amazing rolls, it went one way. I'd suggest having at least one major LoS blocking piece of terrain in the middle, breaking the clear fire lanes to reduce the dominance of Las/Culverin support squads, and emphasise maneuverability.
Thanks for having me on Max, I had a blast. I'll be back, assuming I'm allowed on after that performance.
Thank you for another cool HH report! Alpha is my legion so that made it even better seeing them have some action
Cheers mate! Will try and get some more alphas on! Sadly our players round here have gone into hiding atm so Craig had to drive down from Scotland
Congrats on remaining a good sport to the end. Loved the batrep.
Cheers mate! Tbh I’m happy however it goes (even if I do really want to win), glad you enjoyed watching!
Hydra Dominatus
Sweat lord!
Boooooo
@BearfootMiniatures aren't you Alpharius as well? Hydra Dominatus brother!
Oh lordy those dice! A good but very lopsided game, it happens sometimes. Big props to Max for staying a good sport.
Haha thanks mate!
I need to get my luck back, I’ve been cursed by Phil I think to have mediocre dice!
Also just spotted that the moritat chain fired during a reaction, they can only hcain fire during their normal shooting.
And id do it again against you!
Cool armies on the table
cheers mate!
and thats why I don't sink points into large vehicles 😅. happens every time i took them...

The cerebrus was a shame...
Either spartan varients need a major point reduction or super heavy to prevent them being 1 shotted by a multimelta
It clearly looks like you have not properly replaced that weak temple you call "flesh" with the strength that only iron can promise.
Did you see what happened to the iron when I pointed multi-meltas at it?

Great game guys. Really enjoyed that one. Yeah you can table me but im gonna make you roll it 😅 👏 👏
It was pointed out by a friend that my fire drake couldn't sweep as he has cataphractii armour.

aaaah like the Caesar/Kaesar pronunciation?

I dont usually point out bad movement but you moved over half your tac squad in turn two WAY more than 7 inches to get hesrt of the legion
