Love the bat reps they're awesome. One comment I don't think Dreadnoughts can use the hold the line reaction because they're fearless. FAQ on HtL says if you fail the moral check you fall and if the charge roll is sufficient to reach the falling back unit they don't get a chance to regroup (page 4 AoD FAQ). just as as watch and because this is how I learn games: turn 1 EC Kakophoni guns have shell shock (1) so pining test was +1 -1 WE Turn 2 vets are 2 wounds EC Turn 3 thunderbolt auto cannons have rending 6+ was worth the chance for a glance that's all I saw so very well done good game
Savage intercept on the flyers! I still think the flyers rules need looking at, for the points cost they just don’t last. Hard to balance though I know. Great game guys 👍🏻

@@newtpondskipper my most recent game I played against an iron hands player and boy let me tell you I deep struck the thing he tried to intercept missed and then I proceeded to blow up 4 of his tanks however yeah the second I entered hover mode he hit me with a single grav gun and like immediately fell out of the sky

Hi Henry just a note about the advanced air combat interdiction (sorry forgot the name of the reaction off top of my head) that you mention in the army lists. Now I haven't finished the video but this is worth bringing up. Unfortunately due to weird 2.0 rules, when the xiphon or talon of the legion aircraft comes in, it's unable to Skyfire. Skyfire is declared at the start of the turn. The plane is off the table at the start, so it's unable to declare. It means when you react and bring in your counter flier, it'll be shooting at the opponent plane on 6s to hit. So yeah it's actually not very WAAC as you predicted because of this commonly overlooked rules interaction. Do look up Skyfire (sorry couldn't provide rules pg atm) and you'll see. There's one for you to ponder.take care and thanks for the batrep and to you too max thanks.
Skyfire is declared in the shooting phase not the start of your turn I think you’re thinking of Helical Targeting Array :-) pg218 zooming and shooting.

When the plane arrives, it's during the enemy movement phase so the combat counter plane of your own has no access to Skyfire. That's what I'm trying to say, albeit not well; but yeah I remember there being a reason for why it just doesn't actually be as strong as initially read due to Skyfire restrictions
think you forgot that veterans have 2 wounds during that intercept when they came on along with vehicles reacting with battle weapons that shouldn't have been allowed to

If you decline the issuer of the challenge gets to pick one of your characters who doesnt get to fight that round (but ill go check, made me think about it now haha, if i dont get back its that!)
Brilliant battle as usual, great stuff lads. I'm building a world eaters force atm. How do you rate the ravening madmen rule? I thought it was a bit weak but it seemed to serve you well here.
I’m not actually a fan of the actual rule: if they’re joining butchers it’s worth it; but as a rule on its own I think it’s got too many drawbacks, the counting weapons kill as 3 is such a drawback while the -1 to the to wound is nice it not effecting Instant death isn’t great In looking over the rule I couldn’t actually have put the characters with in the despoiler squads as the squads didn’t have ravening madmen If you could join other squads I’d say it’s worth it but it’s too restrictive and not a massive benefit
World Eaters using the Berserker Assault Rite of War must charge units within 12 inches and line of sight. this charge cannot initiate a multiple combat. Its a major downside to this rite of war unfortunately.
@@BearfootMiniatures You also cannot have more than one unit in melee with another unit, so you can't have two units charge the same unit. (I'm only 75% sure on this)

I really like your batreps, though! A tip: Get a third person along when filming your reports, who knows the rules as well. hey mate! So I could fit the tank in-between the tank traps and terraced houses there so could pass between the difficult (house) and impassible (tank traps) bits of terrain I did go over the bases but you don't actually have to use the base as the extent of the cover/difficult terrain according to the terrain rules (and ive put big stupid bases on my terrain cos I though it looked better

Fearless units can use Hold the Line, they just auto pass the morale check making it far less of a risk

I think you can only intercept with defensive weapons on a vehicle…so a whoops there
