Oooh! Karina you should wear this tone of Brown more often, it looks lovely on you! Both blouse and dress are amazing. Thank you for sharing your videos! 💐
So beautiful Karina. Love both garments. Thank you for the detailed information your work is so meticulous and I appreciate learning the right way to do things 😊
Karina, I love how the dress looks when you are twirling in it, so beautiful! I love the top too, and I think it will be a great addition to my work wardrobe. I appreciate all your close up sewing views and tips. A bonus for me is that we are a similar size so you save me some time on determining my pattern size! 😃 Thank you!
Those puffed sleeves and the neckline are details that have drawn my attention 😍 such a useful (and hackable) pattern! Loving your makes once again - beautiful fabrics.
What beautiful makes Karina! This pattern is perfect for our upcoming summer season here in the Midwest USA. The flowy print you used has so much movement, it’s just lovely! Teaching us your attention to detail makes us better sewists. Thank you for sharing ❤
Such a cute pattern. I’m thinking about swapping the sleeves for some other. I’ll have to think about this as I’m not a fan of puffy sleeves. Looks lovely on you. Thank you ❤
I also did the pattern testing, and I love this dress. I wanted to see how you did the placket. I think the extra interfacing is a great idea and will be doing that next time. Thanks for your video, as always. I love your dress.
I love both your garments and as soon as the video popped up I had to buy the pattern using your link. Thank you for all your content. You work so hard to provide content and instructions for us. I appreciate all you do.
Thank you for all your lovely videos. Love that print for the dress, beautiful. The top looks a dusty pink to me & looks great. You sold me again 😊 I love the neckline very flattering.
Both are gorgeous. But the print dress is the cherry on the cake! I really love your makes and what I learn everytime. I always look at what you say before I buy and then use you aff link. Thank you Karina. 💓
Love the care and effort you put in to deliver excellent content. I have been following you for a couple of months, and what can I count on? Integrity, vulnerability, and transparency. Thank you
I loved both your versions. The only thing that bothers me on this pattern is the back seam that joins the bodice to the first tear goes up higher than the front. Is there a reason they would have made the pattern like that? Still love this pattern though as it's not to boxy. I like that style of V neck under my work blazers. I will admit I am too lazy to do French seams - serger is my best friend.... When you have time can you show how you set the adjustable blind hem foot to 1/8 or 1/4 inch Thanks again for this little sewing tutorial I always trust your advice and sewing techniques.
The seam is straight and not higher than the front. It’s more of a me problem that day …. Trying to get it all filmed fast and fiddling with the back ties got my garment misaligned on me. I promise it’s fine. Check the way the brown top fits with the denim blue skirt. That represents the fit well.
I’d love to know what the top stitching foot you used is called. It looked so good. Also, love that animal print fabric. What is its composition? Such a great video, yet again! Thank you!
Question - your neck bias binding seems wider than the pattern piece... is the projector file wrong? The piece measures just over one inch on my projector file. Thank you for a great video!
@@adshaikh yes it’s narrower in the pattern but in the end it’s the same thing. I cut 1” and 3/8” but then I trim the first fold away. It’s just easier for me to make it with the bias tape maker.
Beautiful dress! Do you think I could use a 80% Nylon 20%Spandex fabric? I brought a dress that is similar in style to the Impanema but with regular short sleeves. I REALLY want to find a pattern to dupe the purchased dress. Any advise?
I mentioned I would not use a knit stretchy fabric for this pattern. It’s designed for woven not stretch. The techniques don’t translate well to knit fabrics.
I live in Brazil and can only access PDF patterns. So if you are after printed patterns, my channel might not be for you. Although I post a lot about fitting and sewing techniques that are universal

Thank you! Will do!
Just bought pattern via your link and 2 types of fabric for making a dress for a wedding this summer!!! Thank you
Wonderful! I hope you enjoy making them 😀
Thanks for talking about the fabric choices and how they would impact the final piece. That is super helpful for a beginner like me.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks Karina for another helpful video!
Beautiful dress and top. They both suit you well. The cropped shirt goes perfectly with the dress. Nice choice.
I think so too!
Cute fabric & dress!
Just purchased pattern through your link
Thank you so much for the sewing guide. Help me so much. Your such a neat sewer x
Thank you, Karina! "The Girl From Ipanema" is my theme song! Maybe this should be my theme dress!❤
I went to Ipanema beach in 2022. It was great!
So beautiful Karina.
Love both garments. Thank you for the detailed information your work is so meticulous and I appreciate learning the right way to do things 😊
Karina the fabric of your dress is just gorgeous! Such an amazing job, well done. ♡
Thanks for showing this neckline in detail. Also love seeing your styling options. Tropical pants with brown? I would not have thought of.
The tropical print has the brown in there... so I thought...why not :)

You can copy the armhole of another bodice with regular sleeves :)

It’s an adjustable blind bem presser foot. It has an L on it and it’s Janome. Easy to find :)

@@LiftingPinsandNeedles Thank you for your quick reply. I’ll keep searching for a suitable pattern.
Very nice, I'm guessing it's another PDF pattern though 😔
