Huh what you talking about fight against he was with cao cao he joined cao cao when lubu got captured he stayed and died on wei.before lubu and cao cao he served under ding yuang then doung Zhou and stayed on wei and died on wei
Zhang Liao's career is very impressive and inspiring. One has to wonder what he could've achieved if he was more trusted by Wei. He always stood out to me as being this great but ignored talent.
I think with the amount of time he spent on the battlefield (in his youth) made him difficult to work with. This is just my theory but he was atleast recognised when he was put in charge of Hefeis defences.
Zhang Liao in this period is by far my favorite character. This man with only a few hundred soldiers terrified and army of over 10,000 soldiers. He was also the one general that the Wu Kingdom feared more than anyone else. In my opinion, he should have been the cover star for dynasty warriors instead
Its Interesting he was also disliked by many of his colleagues. Perhaps he speant too much time around Lu Bu. Although i think his fight against Xiahou Dun may have left the too of them not seeing eye to eye.
@@Klogalous Li Dian before the battle of Hefei disliked Zhang Liao because I believe his uncle fought against Lu Bu and advocated for Cao Cao when Lu Bu took over, this then led to the death of some of Li Dian’s family members. This resulted in Li Dian disliking any general that worked under Lu Bu, after Hefei they both gained respect for one another and eventually Zhang Liao and Li Dian stopped their dislike of one another.
Subbed. This is a great content that i never thought needed in my revisitation of anything Dynasty Warriors. Maybe you want to talk about his son, Zhang Hu, in the future. From what i read, he alongside Dai Ling and Yue Chen, were shamed by Shu troops after being captured inside an Eight Trigram formation. Is that really happened, tho? Other suggestions for future videos: -Man Chong -Zhang Yan -Shi Xie -Huang Hao -Ma Liang -Zhang Zhao -Jia Kui Thanks
I've just seen this. I'll add these to the list. I believe the Battle of Fenmian Gate with Zhang Hu is from the novel as Guan Xing is mentioned but he never actually deployed to a battle. There is very little information around Zhang Hu and Dai Ling and Yue Jin only has 1 named son called Yue Lin. Dai Ling was involved in Zhuges Northen Campaigns and Zhang Hu inherited his fathers peerage which he later passed onto his son Zhang Tong. Unfortunatly thats all that was recorded.
"long ji" the weapon that sun quan carried in the battle of hefei is also a halberd the same as what zhang liao was carring during the hefei battle. It's head looks like |- .
Lu Bu was a better pure fighter. Good at fighting and had very precise archery skills. You don't want to 1v1 him. Zhang Liao is more intelligent in everything. He is quite fearless himself, making him formidable. Give him control of some men and he's going to make the most of them.
You have to respect Zhang Liao because he:
Fight against Cao Cao in his 20s
Chased after Liu Bei in his 30s
Almost captured Sun Quan in his 40s
Man literally faced all three of the big boys.
dont forget ZhangLiao and GaoShun vs LiuBei, Zhangfei, GuanYu and XiaHouDun, when they are serving LuBu

I like this one!
@@spyrow-nr1qsBut before that he was fighting against Cao Cao, at least before Lü Bu got captured and killed

@@Klogalous wait, what? How come Zhang Liao was not liked? By that logic, Zhang He should gain more heat among his Wei peers
