Getting back into RC Heli since leaving and taking a long break from 2006. Wow, I love how much everything progressed. It used to take me a long time trying to tune my gy401. Now with fbl controllers, using Spektrum FC6250HX, its a breeze with Forward Programming.
Go Ikon and it will be even easier. Yeah the tech has come so far…I messed with mechanical speed controls back in time! Today’s FBLs and Lipos and Brushless motors are amazing. I dreamed up flying cameras 35 years ago…it’s totally doable today. Thanks for checking out the Chanel!
@@rcflightz2058 going to use ikon2 Bluetooth with next heli purchase. I’m liking the price on the XLPower Spectar 700 World Champion kit from helipros.
Nice flying, the Ikon2 is a very good gyro, when i was in the MSH eu team i only did use these(same as Brain2) on my helies, easy setup and easy to tune and get right, also much better options when it comes to telemetry and radio integration than BeastX Plus that comes with the super combo. Under Advanced meny, Setup and then Input you can add more expo for a more smoothe behavior, i recommend -25-27 on ail, elv and rudder and -10-12 on pitch, you can also increase deadband if you want it less sensitive around center stick both on cyclic and tail. I played around with this and liked the result
I'd suggest using a single bank switch for rpm and agility setting as you need different gains and rates for the different rpms you run. Its alot simpler that way & less confusing with less switches to hit.
I actually just want one for a display model so what I think I'm gonna do is just buy the 650X from heli direct and go from there and just build it up without the servos or the ESC because they do come with the motor for just $650 which isn't bad and I love the yellow blades I'm not gonna fly this though I will just put it as a display with my diecast cars sounds crazy but that's what I like
Good flight. I see you like flying with the nose away from you but you should practice on nose-in hovering. It will greatly improve your flying especially if you lose orientation when controls are backwards. I promise I'm not trying to judge your flying skills because you are a really good pilot, plus you've kept the fusion 180 air worthy for a very long time. Have you seen the new fusion 180 smart?
I seen it…I’ll probably have to get one…I really like the 180. So I have a super conservative approach to flying new helicopters, I take it very slow…not a fan of crashing them…I take a lot of time getting familiar with directional controls before even attempting nose in or low inverted stuff. I’m VERY careful with my helicopters…I enjoy flying them even on basic patterns and always fly lots of very basic patterns before moving forward…just my style, but thanks for tuning in, hope you enjoy the videos. They are coming from an informational perspective.
Thanks for nice video I got same yours with radiomaster Tx and I got stuck for 3 weeks,I'm not able to finish wiring,I don't know what should I do exactly and I searched a lot but still nothing Do u have any schematic wiring diagram?
Place your FBL on the pedestal and just add lead extension as needed. I believe I needed 2 of them on the 650X. As far as the radiomaster I suggest watching content using the same equipment or even better talk with someone using the same equipment. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
Hey I just got mine built and setup but I noticed when I spool up (blades off of course) I see the auto rotation gear has a slight wobble up and down. Should I be concerned or maybe there’s something wrong with the gear assembly? Some forums say that it could be normal
Beautiful helicopter.
Love the sound of the bigger machines.
Excellent performance and outstanding videos. Very helpful and easy to follow 👌. Thanks mate forcsharing. Safe fly.
Thanks, hopefully they help show the application of the different settings and how they effect flight. Thanks for checking out the channel!
Nice flight! Awesome hobby 👍🏻
Thank you, was kind of basic but first couple 650 size flights I was so nervous. Thanks for tuning in.
Very very stable
Things a MONSTER😎😎😎

Nice. Getting one Friday for my XL550, can’t wait.
I think you’ll love it, hit me up on Facebook(Kevin Zenner) if you have any specific questions. Thanks for tuning in!

YOU SIR, have gotten bitten by the heli bug lol
Awesome flight 👍🏻
Thank you! The 650x is a BEAST!!!
@@rcflightz2058 Great beast x😊👍🏻
Nice👍👍
Thanks, you wouldn’t believe how scary it is flying something like this the first couple times. Thanks for tuning in!
I like it very much
If you’re just coming up to this size…things a BEAST!!!
Yea the ikon 2 is nice
My go to…simple…straight forward.
Good flight.

What’s the tiny align heli in the background?
What battery’s are you running in your 650x? I’m building mine just curious what fits best
Twin 3200 HRBs fit easily, twin smart 4000s we’re edging on snug. Thanks for tuning in!

It’s normal
So I don't need a spektrum receiver
You connect two Spectrum Satellite receivers. 3 pin versions...Not SRXL2s.
Still enjoying the 550x?
Absolutely, flew it last week. Its been a great helicopter, I like that size a lot! Thanks for tuning in!
