Nice heli but i,m not a buildingtype and must find a rtf rc when start flying cp. Flown much planes 6 channel with flaps and and 4 channel heli all rtf.But nice heli. But usually fly at high altitdes and trained myself to fly hundreds of meters avay. . So mistake height would hopefully not be the problem. Such a big one like this one i think you can easily fly at hundreds of meter altitude with no problem.
imo you should really invest in a simulator. ive been flying just over a year now and recently started flying 3d. best hobby ive ever found. just never give up.
Yes wery fun hobby and today i flown the Cessna corvalis at very high altitudes at the countryside.Far away from airports about 50 km ,theese altitudes must be done in the waistland.Close up in the clouds and enormous cam sight,also a bit over a fjord in flight. Ten min flights at ab 350 to 400 m altitude and then in to land.But me and a friend have ordered a heli simulator.He purchased a walkera 450 yesterday.3drcheli sim is a must ,also wih a plane in start but 3d you cant do mistakes i think. The plane you can plung up at high and do some small mistakes in the beginning before hit the ground but not in 3d at low altitude=)
Always let your screws sit in a bath of rubbing or denatured alchahol. All screws are manufactured and coated with oil so they don't rust while in storage. You need to get that oil off them. I also wipe them off with a paper towel before coating with Loctite.

Cool - you put all the servo wires over motor, high-requency/high-power wires. How does the heli fly now ?
