Going to do my filters in two weeks bro! I’m glad I found your channel 💯 thanks for the very detailed video 🙏🏽
My pleasure 😀
Your video on changing the cabin air filter on my BMW 650i is right on the money. It cost me $22 for the filters and took 2 hrs! I saved $420 !! Thank You.
My pleasure. You can use the $200 for eating out
My complements on this video, good quality and very clear instructions. Changed my plugged filters today. Could not have done the job with out this video
Thank you very much Errol. I am glad to hear that you were able to install the filter by using my video tutorial. Make sure to subscribe to my channel to get the latest maintenance videos 😃
Your instructional videos are absolutely brilliant. Well thought out and detailed. Thank you.
Thank you very much and my pleasure William
Thanks for helping me make the decision to have someone else do my air cabin filter lol 👍.
Lol it was pain the neck literally. The space was too tight.
Thank you I just did it with your video 🙏🏼
My pleasure Leonardo
Great video….thanks!
My pleasure Gerry and thank you very much 😀
Cool video! Thx mate! ❤
My pleasure
Good job, friend. And very cool car!!!
Thank you very much Olivier 😀
Thank you !!!
My pleasure
Cool video! One extra tip, ensure you block closing the trunklid, as you wont be easily able to open it with the battery disconnected :)
Thank you very much for the helpful tip. 👍😀

Thanks for posting! What a pain in the ass! I think i might just get ripped off and pay the dealership.
My pleasure. It is not that bad if you do it in larger space instead of a garage. I should have done it outside the garage.
Thank you for the video!
My pleasure Bruce 😀
@@ejsgarage oh hey, is it true that we no longer need to reset the air filter in the dashboard? I didn’t find the option there. Thanks!
There is no need to reset it

Hey Ej, is the cabin filter same as microfilter? I see bmw m6 parts sell a set of microfilter and also cabin filter. These 2 different?
Hi Omar 😃 No, the micro carbon filters on the top are different than the ones in the bottom.
You installed your filters with the arrows facing the engine bay. They are suppose to face the passenger cabin per BMW.
Thanks, I fixed it.
BMW M6 the best 👍💪🙋
Terima kasih ya 😃
Excellent video and you have such a positive mindset! I loved it. I'm concerned about the back screw, but I'll try it. Also, when you unplug the negative outlet on the battery, does the battery need to re-registered to the card?
Thank you very much Cemian. I didn’t have to re-register the battery.
@@ejsgarage thank you again!
My pleasure
Salamat
You are welcome Jay 😊
Good video! But I would pay the dealer for this one lol.
Thank you very much
Great video. But I think I'll be bringing it to the dealer
Thanks
I’m assuming it’s the same method for a 640i gran coupe
It’s similar
Did you have the cabin air filter arrows pointing towards the cabin or the engine? I can’t tell in your video and other videos are saying that the arrows point towards the engine. I want to make sure I’m doing it right. Thank you!!!
They are fine, thanks
will removing the battery also reset the CBS Service interval system? would like to avoid that, thanks.
That’s a very good question. It didn’t really reset anything when I did it with my M6
My car has started to stutter even though I have changed the plugs and coils.
At first it was at low revs and then at some point at every revolution. Now I'm going to change the injectors tomorrow too, do you think that will solve the problem or what else could it be? Thanks for your answer 😊
Do you have this tool amzn.to/49HKG2r? It will probably tell you where the issue is. I use the Autel Maxicom
Bro I'm having a problem with locating the cigarette fuse box do u know where it is
Sorry I don’t know where it is 🥲
Not much different from an F10. Thanks for the video!
My pleasure
Dear Sir, how often or when should I replace the air filter?
BMW requires the cabin air filter to be changed every 15,000 miles.
Thank you boss for your swift reply. Excellent channel you have
My pleasure and thank you very much 😊😀
So is it really necessary to unplug the battery?
Not really, just a safety precaution
10mins job bud , next time dont worry about the airbag or disconnecting battery ...just 6 screws you have 👍🏻
Thanks
Omg my Infiniti is so much easier. Why screw the cover onto the airbox with four torx screws? Nissan snaps closed.
I know right! BMW makes it harder for people to do their own DIY
@@ejsgarage I bought an M6 convertible this summer so just found your video. Appreciate it but not looking fwd to it. On the Infiniti on the other hand you have to drop the whole glove box assembly
Congratulations on getting the M6. It is fun car but it is an expensive one to keep around compared to the Infinity.
I have other videos too that you can watch.
Huge problems with the bmw and audi in maintenance. 🤮
No kidding, a nightmare if I have to go the dealership all the time and don’t do my own DIY maintenance
I have a 2013 650i and bmw is a horrible car to work on even to change air filter these engineers should get fired and never be allowed to do nothing but collect garbage horrible enemies of the people
Yes, they made so hard for regular people to do DIY maintenance
They figure make it difficult so you take it back to their garage and rip you off grrrrrrrr
Yes and it is not that hard to do
