It’s easier to work on from the underneath if you take the filter out and let it hang while you disconnect the fitting with the disconnect tool

Yours came off way easier. My blue clip scattered just by a simple touch. Now I can't get shit off. So its staying until its cometely no good. Miss the old vehicles where I can sit in the engine compartment and do my work

I don't think you clicked that steel retaining clip all the way down onto that fuel line. But that is probably okay, since the lines never come loose without the tool releasing the 3 holding jaws inside the connector. Rattling around down there might eventually wear through something though. Murphy's Law, you know.
Your filter was clean. When I emptied my old one the gas coming out looked like chocolate milk, from the moisture absorption by the ethanol in the gasoline. It was actually heavy, from being full of crud. No wonder it was missing. If you let them sit overnight, you won't get a gasoline bath when you unhook the line. Loosen the gas cap right before you start work too. Gas tanks can build up some low pressure.

If it wasn’t properly installed the fuel line would leak...........

I really would like to see a close-up on how you use the tool to remove that fuel line

Some camera work was great and some wasn't...lol. Left me in the dark on exactly what was going on behind those big ole hands of yours. :)
Is there a reason why you went with WIX instead of the Motorcraft filter? I actually use WIX oil filters and am very pleased with them.
Having a harder and harder time though of sifting through counterfeit parts everywhere.
Thanks for making the video. Jesus bless.
Oh...I was going to say...I saw a couple of videos on this where someone said to do this when the engine is cold and open the gas cap to relieve some pressure and not lose too much fuel...keep a bucket and rag handy. One other person said to disconnect the engine side line first and you wouldn't have quite so much fuel spillage either. Guess I'll find out.

Maybe an idea on '04 F250 5.4L 10psi at scharader valve. Idles great, purrs! Dies any throttle action or put in gear? Pressure regulator only part except fuel lines not replaced including maf sensor and throttle position sensor! Codes; a weak injector?

That braided hose that goes into the filter, opposite of the blue and yellow hoses, where does that run to? Mine has deteriorated and has a hole in it. Is that braided hose and where it's pressed into the steel line one assembly? Or do they separate, To where I just need to replace the Braided part

Just spotted a leak near the fuel filter on my 2004 FX4 today. (04-08) Bad filter or line? 1:03 Your guess?

How hard is it to change a fuel filter on a 2006 Ford F150

  • @christinahinson8832

If im smelling fumes in my cab and outside my truck, would this maybe be the cause?? How do you know when the filter needs to be changed?? 🤔

In damp climates with high humidity, change it every 30,000 miles. Otherwise, you can go to 50,000 miles.

Another video that cuts to a close up of the part without showing WHERE IT IS. So frustrating.

Anybody with mechanical ability would just follow the fuel lines until they found it. It should I say common sense should be able to pin point where it is

jerry bskorner And you chose to take this opportunity to be condescending rather than informative. Very impressive. Don't worry, I found it. No thanks to you.
