- In this weeks gear review I talk about the Rab Kinetic Ultra. A waterproof jacket which is new on the market for 2022 and designed for running! The jacket so far has been awesome and I highly recommend it if you're after a super breathable, comfortable and well fitted running waterproof!

Really comprehensive review Alex. Sounds like a super jacket and the hiking version would probably fit the bill for me. Really like the colour of yours 👍 The material sounds amazing!

This looks like a super jacket Alex, I will be looking out for it in the shops. I suggest that people have a smaller phone for use in emergencies. I always take a phone on hikes for safety. Thanks for a great review!

I’ve gone for the Alpine version as I am not as slim as you being in my 70’s. Can’t wait for it to arrive!

Good review. Does washing this jacket, post run sweat, compromise the waterproofing?
Great! I would like to get some new jackets too, wonder how they do with biking!
Can imagine it being good for biking with how breathable and stretchy it is, but I don’t think it would stay this colour after a few muddy rides 😂

Great review. I have the Kinetic Alpine 2.0 but I don't want to use it for walking/running because it's too nice to sweat in haha! I just wear it when I'm out to protect me from the elements, it's great to shoving on over a t-shirt even if it's a bit chilly it protects you from the wind. I run quite warm so I'm wondering if I need to get the ultra or the phantom pull on. Looking for something waterproof and lightweight which is easy to clean. Can you just shove the ultra in the washing machine Alex?
What did you go for in the end? I'm debating this or the Phantom myself for hot rainy day
Is this something you would run in if it is not raining but just windy?
Yes I’ve run and hiked in it just for an added layer and as a bit of a wind stopper 👍
Having no pockets is a deal-breaker for me. 👎
