If i can see the screen partially in the daytime and gets better at night time. would the be an issue with just the outer screen replacement or would that be the actual internals of the display?
It's hard to know without looking ,but, it could be the polarizing filter. The same issue happens with old Gameboys, Wonderswan's and things like that. Eventually the sun gets to it

Since I’m replacing the unit, is it possible to upgrade to a unit that has navigation?

But WHERE can I get ANOTHER working MFD..? The dealership no longer has new ones. Mine has gone dead.
They pop up on ebay and amazon from time to time, but I would check a local pic a part, mine always has them.
failing that, send it away to get it repaired using a service on ebay for example. 3 options right there
Hi there, is it expensive to replace a dead one of these? I have a 2008 prius with the same part number as above. Toyota in San Jose Del Cabo quoted the price for replacement as just shy of 11 thousand dollars. How is that possible?
