Yeah... I am in NC and you have to go to dine in places to get a vegan burger. Examples are like red Robin, burgerfi, cheesecake factory, tgi fridays. Hardee's dumb self still is not carrying beyond burger. Smh like get it together already.

I know Del Taco has 'plant based tacos' yes it has no meat or dairy but it may touch meat (prepared in the same area). Also if you have read this long... know that not all 'sugar' is vegan as it may be filtered w/ bone char (charcoal). The sugar contains no animal product, but by definition an animal product was used to make it. Organic sugar is vegan and others... 👀

At taco bell I usually get the power cantina veggie bowl with no cheese, sour cream, or guac- add potatoes!! You can even get vegan wraps at chickfila if ask for a veggie wrap no cheese. They use black beans, corn, lettuce, tomato, & at some locations bell pepper. SO GOOD

I was up in Anaheim the other day and was driving by a Del taco and pulled through the drive-thru and asked for it and they said they didn't have it. I was so disappointed I drove off with nothing. 😫
Yeah, I didn't get that comment either. They can't serve food again after it has gone out especially out of the building. I would die if I were getting food that was reserved.
I really don't know what's best in that situation, but if I were to put some thought into it... it would probably be better to serve that particular item to a dog than it would be to give it back to the store only for them to discard it into a trashcan. It's not your fault, because you ordered something that didn't involve cruelty, but it's better that the item gets some use other than to go to complete waste. There's still the benefit; though, of returning the item, and hopefully the workers learn their lesson and make these errors less often, but I doubt most of these employees last. More employees will just keep cycling in, making the same mistakes.
I love the Beyond Famous Star with no cheese or sauce. I really hope they keep it. I'm doing my part to support it! Otherwise, hadn't been to a Carl's Jr. in forever.

Chris, you are killing me. I'm recouping from a bug (thank you Super Bowl guac) and what do you get right off da bat? Are Carl's on the East Coast? And then Taco Hell. It isn't difficult to be vegan. Be creative. To be fugal, I usually pack my snacks and/or meals and bring them with me. Veg for 20 years vegan for 6. I have learned the places that will cater to vegans and go there often and treat them well. There's an OOTW burrito shop that i frequent, not because it's the best, it's because they care about the customers.
I hope you know by eating that burger actually eating real partial meat juices because I cook it on the same grill that they cook all the other burgers on and they don’t clean it between cooking

ALSO I think this is what will convince more people to go vegan, how easy, cheap, yummy, and convenient vegan fast food can be! LOVED this video. Starbucks sprouted bagel with avocado spread takes me back to my undergrad days. I ate that allllll the timeee. Also pro tip for taco bell, a lot of them are getting updated with self-checkout kiosks inside which makes ordering vegetarian and vegan a lot easier! There are so many options for substituting or just in addition and you cut out one level of human error (plus it's great for introverts like myself)
My mom was a trainer at Taco Bell and I have been eating it Fresco Style my whole life. It is weird to think that people don't know about it. I am glad you guys did this video.
I always go for refried beans instead of beef and I think those are better than the black beans...more seasoning. Also you really cant beat the spicy potato soft taco fresco style for a dollar!

Cross-contamination is a very common thing in the restaurant business. This is an issue for a lot of other people, not just vegans. Celiacs have to worry about cross-contamination with gluten. People with nut allergies have to worry about cross-contamination with nuts. The list goes on and on. It's definitely a reason for us to opt for preparing our own food at home. It's not like you have to eat fast food. Like Chris said, he can make a much better crunch wrap.
Taco bell needs to do what del taco has done and add beyond meat (crumble) as a meat replacement. People often add potatoes as well to crunch wrap , tacos, and seven layer burrito. I also think the refried beans are vegan

I never knew you could replace the beef with black beans? I've always just told them to leave off the meat and fresco style (add guacamole). Sometimes they give me free guacamole if I leave off the meat. I wonder if you can swap out beef for potatoes?
Just be careful if you care about cross contamination that at Carl’s Jr they don’t use a separate grill! They cook the patties in the same grill as the beef ones, I asked at several locations and emailed the company and they don’t, so you may be tasting grease from beef in your burger.

Cinnamon twists are a must for dessert! I haven't been to Carl's Jr in years since going vegan and I had no idea you could double up the Beyond Burger patties! If I ever make it to ours I'll definitely keep that in mind seeing as how our grocery store stopped carrying the Beyond Burger patties, sadly.
I get that exact breakfast at starbucks except i get the sriracha. Its delicious and i feel like its different than regular sriracha , its smoky . Mmm so good
At Taco Bell you can ask them to add things like potatoes, rice, guac, and the red sauce that they put in bean burritos! You can also get both refried and black beans. :)
Walmart makes an awesome organic mild salsa that is vinegar-free. I get Taco Bell bring home and add my cashew cheese sauce and Walmart salsa....oooohhhh soooo goood!!!
I know everyone is saying to add potatoes, but also I personally like the refried beans over the black beans so next time you go I also recommend trying those ;)

Del Taco has pretty good vegan options if they're in your area! My partner and I drove from CA to our new home on the east coast and ate there as much as we could on the road (there are no Del Tacos near us now).

You can check if the food is there or not. My family dosent leave the drive thru untill we checked if we had everything and if we dont we tell them and get our moneys worth!!! It sucks paying for a burger you didnt even get and someone losing out on food. Why are you not able to? Im confused

At Taco Bell you can ask them to add things like potatoes, rice, guac, and the red sauce that they put in bean burritos! You can also get both refried and black beans. :)
Crunch wraps are bomb!! Add potatoes and rice to it the next time! Oh and refried beans! You can thank me later! 😜🤤
Walmart makes an awesome organic mild salsa that is vinegar-free. I get Taco Bell bring home and add my cashew cheese sauce and Walmart salsa....oooohhhh soooo goood!!!

I know everyone is saying to add potatoes, but also I personally like the refried beans over the black beans so next time you go I also recommend trying those ;)
Good video, always looking for new options. Keep it interesting. (PS my beyond burger from Carl’s tasted like it was cooked in meat fat, not that big of deal for me, more B vitamins I guess) it still tasted good to me, expect for tong being covered in grease for a couple hours.

The everything bagels at starbucks are now vegan!! I’m a vegan who works at the bucks, and the recipe changed in March, 2019!!
Del Taco has pretty good vegan options if they're in your area! My partner and I drove from CA to our new home on the east coast and ate there as much as we could on the road (there are no Del Tacos near us now).
Love it. You missed the key with the 7 layer burrito- adding potatoes. Though it was years ago, so I am not sure if they are still vegan. Anyhow, fun video style!

You can check if the food is there or not. My family dosent leave the drive thru untill we checked if we had everything and if we dont we tell them and get our moneys worth!!! It sucks paying for a burger you didnt even get and someone losing out on food. Why are you not able to? Im confused

Don't you wonder if they cook it in the same griddle as real stuff? Maybe it's just me but I don't trust non-vegan places unless I was driving across country and didn't have choices... Glad you enjoyed though. :)
