You guys have to try the Annie’s vegan cheddar mac and cheese (the one without sweet potato)! It’s the BEST vegan mac and cheese!!!

Definitely second this one! My comment above was thinking you all need to try the real Annie’s one-not the shells! I don’t put milk, just vegan butter and it is amaze-balls.
Yeah I was gonna say, Annie’s has and actual “cheese” flavored one. The sweet potato one doesn’t say cheese anywhere it’s just “creamy Mac”
I was just about to comment that! That there is a cheddar Annies vegan mac. I love that one. It tastes very similar to the kraft mac I grew up eating.

you should do a vegan protein powder taste test!!! i’ve been trying to find a healthier protein powder that also tastes good, but i never know which one to buy

My fav is the French vanilla purely inspired powder. You can get it on amazon. It does have stevia in it though.
Sunwarrior classic protein classic plus in chocolate is my favorite and has none of the bad stuff.
orgain plant protein is the BEST. you can get it at most grocery stores and they even sell a huge tub of the vanilla flavor at costco. just make sure you get the vegan one cause the same company makes whey ones too.

Amy's rice mac was my FAVE when I first became a vegan years ago. Still a favorite, but too expensive for everyday
I add broccoli and “bacon” bits into the Daiya one and top it with breadcrumbs when I’m feeling fancy!👌🏽
Same! Toast the crumbs in a little vegan butter before sprinkling and youve got yourself a gourmet meal there haha

i’ve always loved all of Amy’s products!! they’re so delicious and so hearty and filling ! i’m not vegan but i am a pescatarian and i love their frozen meals when i’m on a time crunch!

I LOVE these videos. They are always so thoroughly done and well produced. And they’re always top quality and so helpful for someone like me wanting to go vegan but not knowing which alternatives are good, ingredients to look out for, and what’s “healthy.” I would love to see these done in this series too

Amy’s was my favorite for a long time, but I recently tried the Chao and loved it. I think it’s the creaminess that won me over!

Loved this video! My partner and I just tried the Daiya mac the other night and I totally agree! Definitely eatable but excited to try other brands! Super funny y’all! Also I love ketchup on Mac too!!

Just made the Amy's Vegan Rice Mac & Cheese last night. It's my first time trying "Mac & Cheese". I didn't follow the directions. The first step is to microwave for 3 minutes and stir. It looked creamy and the pasta was perfect. So I stopped there. I was supposed to put it back in for 1-2 min. Let it sit for 1 min. I also added a touch of salt and nutritional yeast. Yummy! I would definitely buy it again. I have 3 others to try. You guys are the best! I love your friends too 💛

Just made vegan Mac n Cheese. Combined cashew sharp cheddar cheese, butternut squash, and cashews.....vegan margarine, garlic purée, onion powder , turmeric , salt n pepper Blended and OMG !!! Delicious
Better than the Dairy version by 100 miles

All four of my vegan kids hated the Annie's! We were so stoked to find it at Target and got a little overzealous, buying like 6 of them. Bad move. We love the Amy's frozen Rice Mac & Cheeze for sure! I only wish it came in a bigger size. We're a vegan fam of 6 and even a few boxes is just not enough as a side dish!

YESSSS! i couldnt agree more that is the best Mac & cheese aside from homemade but realistically who has time to sit around doing homemade. For people who are busy and on the go its so much easier to zap it while you cook up your main dish & toss a salad
@@Stac8 The sauce is so easy to make. You can nuke the potatoes, carrots, garlic, and onions with the veggie broth (or water) about 4 minutes. Throw it into the blender along with the nooch, acid, and spices and give it a good whirl (approx 1-2 minutes) Toss on pasta, veggies, rice, or even nachos. You could make your own freezer meals. Fill a freezer/microwave safe container with cooked macaroni on one side, some frozen veggies in the middle, and cheese sauce on the other side. This keeps the mac from getting soggy. Cover the containers tightly and freeze. When ready to use, place the container into the microwave and vent the lid. Microwave for 4 minutes on high. Stir the contents together and heat for an additional 1-2 minutes until heated through. You might want to add 1-2 tablespoons of water to this, the sauce can thicken when frozen and reheated.

Kite hill makes an AMAZING Vegan almond ricotta cheese & mixing that w/other Vegan cheeses for baked mac&cheese or cheesy potato/hashbrown casserole is delicious AF

Mary Robicheaux There is a sweet potato and pumpkin one that Annie’s has which is absolutely disgusting but they have another vegan one that doesn’t say sweet potato and pumpkin on it and it’s really good.

i always add soaked cashews to the amy's pumpkin or the cheddar vegan flavor they have and it makes a world of difference :)

Such a good video, I don't have as many friends going vegan, but I do get a lot of people going dairy free and this can be a staple I can send. Wish you would have done the Annie's that is cheddar flavor.
The Daiya 4 cheeze w herb Mac and cheese is also so good! Way better than their cheddar version in my opinion
the daiya one with vegan butter and some almond milk is great imo.

You can make a Roads End copy at home, it is super easy. I have figured out measurements for a recipe that taste almost identical.
1 and 1/3 cups of dry pasta of choice
Dry powder
1 tablespoon of flour
1 tablespoon of nooch
1 teaspoon of arrowroot/corn starch
1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon of onion powder
1/8 teaspoon mustard powder
1/8 teaspoon tumeric
1/8 teaspoon Frank's red hot powder seasoning (optional)
2/3 cup of milk (I use cashew)
2 tablespoons of vegan butter
1 teaspoon of soy sauce (optional)
Squirt of yellow mustard (optional)
Whisk powder into cool milk, add butter if desired and bring to simmer until thickened. (Flour based sauces are as thick as they're going to be once they boil.) Add soy sauce and mustard if desired, stir in cooked pasta. Salt and pepper to taste

The Chao does have a plasticky aftertaste, but... I still like it, haha. I *hate* that flavor of the Annie’s one; their cheddar flavor vegan mac is much better (still sweet though).

I appreciate the distinction between "vegan" and "healthy" in your videos. I had to give up cheese and red meat for dietary reasons (saturated fat and calories mostly), and many vegan options are actually worse for me than their dairy- and meat-based counterparts.
travlaney no, meat and dairy is way worse than any vegan counterpart. Cholesterol + carbs is WAY worse than just carbs.
According to Amazon there is dairy in the modern table Mac n cheese. When you look at the ingredients it states contains milk. Maybe this is the old version and the new one they took out the dairy. Either way just wanted everyone to watch out and read labels. Ty for another great video guys. ✌🏼

Excellent video. My favourite vegan Mac and Cheese isn't from a pack. I always prefer home made over premade/processed versions. There's always something about home made that makes me enjoy it more. I haven't tasted a premade/ processed version that's as good as a home made version.

I finally found the Annie’s one, but haven’t tried it yet. The Amy’s rice one that I find has Daiya cheese. The Road’s End if I’m correct, I tried like 4 years ago and hated it. The Chao one I actually oven cooked and didn’t like it. I would microwave next time if I ever bought it again. I liked the Sweet Earth Cauliflower mac, it wasn’t bad.

I used to eat the Roads End kind back in the olden days when I first became vegan. It was the only brand available. I never thought it tasted like cheese, but I did enjoy it.
I agree that the Annie’s regular cheddar (not the sweet potato one) is the best boxed mac and cheese - I actually went back and checked the box because it tasted so much like the kind I remember eating as a kid. Definitely try it! (and report back!)
the amy's frozen mac is bomb but I'm surprised they didn't like the chao one, I used to get it all the time! something about frozen mac just hits different I guess lmao. but I definitely gotta try the modern table one someday if I can find it :O
