An excellent introductory review. Short and to the point. Covers all of the features without labouring the content, unlike some UA-cam reviews of the ProGrip (one in particular). I would love to see a follow-up showing the Grip in action. For what its worth I love mine.

What’s it like in the wide mode? Can you see the grip?

How can you connect the Rode mic adapter to the iPhone? The grip covers the lightning connector.
It is a little bit tricky, when I use the rode mic with it I slide the phone a little and it gives me the space I need to be able to plug in the cable. Not ideal but I have found a manageable way to use it. Thanks for watching.
found your video very helpful, but when I press the shutter button, it doesn't take a photo, but zooms. I dont know what I am doing wrong, or if it is the settings on my Samsung s8. Have you any ideas about this. Finding it so frustrating.

I have a Google pixel 5a. Can I use the shiftcam grip with moment Anamorphic lens? Or, does the Shift cam lens work well with the Google pixel 5am? I see the cases are for iphones for the adapter to connect the lenses to. Since Moment is set for Google phones, I like their lenses but I absolutely love this dslr grip!
That’s an awesome phone with an awesome lens. I haven’t got to try that combo but it’s sounds like a great one. From what I can see you’ve got a great chance at it working.

Pretty slick, does it do alright with semi bulky phone cases? I hate taking my phone outta my case. Nice that it's Bluetooth and that you don't have to plug it in, but it still charges your phone. I'll have to get one and check it out.
I tried it with the bulkiest case I have, which isn't too bulky and it did great. That being said there are some bulky cases that I am not sure would work. It is simple but it is solid. Let me know what you think if you get one.
@@BobbyInBlue I got the Shiftcam and use it with an iPhone 14 Pro Max. I have a couple of different cases for it but I can say that the largest case - Otterbox Commuter - does work with the Shiftcam grip.

That would be awesome to eventually get. It would make taking videos and photos with my phone much more practical looking. Have you used it with a Samsung galaxy S10?
That’s how it has worked for me so far, it has just made things much easier. I haven’t used it with the S10 myself but I have a friend who has and they said it worked great. Thanks for watching! Let me know if you end up getting one.

Thanks for the comment I can see why people think that. Listeners get to think what they want. This isn’t a sponsored video, this is just me excited about tech. I shared a few things I wished for but all and all I don’t have much negative to say. Great tip for the future, thanks.
Here are a list of potential negatives.
I wish that you could plug a mic into the bottom of my phone while I was using the grip.
I wish that it made it so you could also adjust exposure control from the grip while using it.
I wish that the hand strap has a quick release so when your wanted to use it as a stand you could faster.
I wish that the grip was. A little tighter on your phone or had a little better grip.
I wish that there was more than one cold shoe mount.
All and all it is great.
Thanks for the additional information. I am on the fence as I’m not sure if the bulk would be more of a nuisance to carry around and loosing the mobile experience of using phone instead of DSLR camera setup.
@@italiangspot Sure thing, thanks for the tip to add more of the opportunities I see. It does add bulk. For me the best time for me to use it is when I am out shooting photos or videos specifically. I use it a bunch when I travel as well.
I don’t see this as an everyday case, more of a bolt on when I want an easier way to hold my phone and get great shots.
I was on the fence as well, it’s a solid device it does what it says it will. I would give it a 6 or 7 out of ten when it comes to cost/benefit side.
