Ruud fixed my Nav and CD. Also supplied a new updated Nav disc and did a bluetooth upgrade. Great service. Great guy!

Awesome job guys - My TX has just started doing this although very temperamentally, looks like ill have to give it a swab, fingers crossed at least that its not the laser!

My question to Ruud or anyone who knows the answer is: after installing the Bluetooth module on aux, there is also a hands-free option - is this update also integrated with MIU (540), steering wheel controls (633) and microphone, mobile phone, in front the roof console in the car?

Any further information about adding that Bluetooth to your navigation unit?
Any kit available for that? Is it only for the music or can you also use your phone and the navigation microphone with it?
Hi Tomi. It's for streaming music only. You still need the UHP module if you want bluetooth phone connection for handsfree. There's more information on the SaabCars Facebook page. BR Markus

@@tomitoikka367 I don't think it that's difficult. You need to get the UHP module and wiring diagram for cabling.There's a guide somewhere in swedish that explains this..

Nice video, sorry can i take you back to preface lift ng 93. I did an upgrade on my 2005 saab 93 fiber optics from ICM 1 to ICM 3, including the dvd player, position unit, amp 2 and amp 1, everything works sound wise, but tech 2 will not allow me to add the dvd player and the position unit, could this be because there's no wheel sensor connected from the EHU to the fuse box? Please can you draw more attention to my issue if you can. The bus recognises all equipment i have physically installed. I'm based in the UK and there are 2 versions of the position unit, one with phone function and the other without. I'm using the one without the phone (sim card) module as i have an aftermarket Bluetooth connection in my car.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi. I wish I could come up with a straight answer to this. So there has never been a DVD player in the car before this? Is the correct VIN (if you need security access?) ? The only thing I can think of is what you wrote. Maybe it's looking for the sensor? I know that other systems don't need that (ng93 2007 up and og95). Maybe someone else can pitch in here as well. Have you checked the forum called Saabcentral? BR Markus
@@TechCars hi, thanks for the comments, nobody as far as i know has done this Sat nav upgrade on the saab forum. When my tech 2 is plugged in, it tells me a different vin is showing for the dvd player and the GPS position system, i was able to unmarry the dvd player, but when i go to add it, it asks for security access.
My car never came with dvd, GPS, amp 1 or amp 2, but was able to add amp1 and amp2 without problems, despite coming from a car with a different vin. The sensor you mentioned is this the wheel sensor? Cos there's no connection on the GPS position module or the dvd player with a pin allocated to sensors, the only connection i didn't make is 2 connections for mic on the GPS system.
I forgot to add, I'm using an aftermarket GPS antenna (instead of Saab GPS antenna) connected to the GPS device in the boot, wired through and placed on the parcel shelf where the rear speakers are, to be able to see the sky, could that be where my problem is?
@@reginaldigweike4002 i don't believe the GPS antenna is causing this. It might be something with the modules. Do you get security access when adding the DVD?
@@TechCars i have 2 different GPS modules I'm using to test, one with Bluetooth and one without, both don't allow me to remove or add the modules. I was able to remove the dvd player, but it won't let me add it, asking for security access. I'm thinking, should i try removing the GPS module again before adding it and the dvd player.
@@TechCars can i also add this, when my icm3 was programmed in my car, even without the dvd and GPS position module connected, the navigation menu on the screen was highlighted, but noticed after all connections had been made, the navigation menu was greyed out. Also someone at Saab Norwich advised me that there are 2 different types of EHU, 1 for ICM 1 and the other for ICM 2&3, which i later found wasn't the case. So i have 2 ehu that performs exactly the same way. Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
My unit (same one) reads discs and provides directions just fine, except the voice guidance cuts off when saying an exit direction. I just sent you an email, Markus. Thanks.
Hi, this voice direction is an issue with all the newer DVD's made for the 93NG and it has to do with the fact that AUDI based DVD's are used to work on the Saab system, so call it a compatibility issue. Just shut-off the voice guidance and listen to the music
