I can see myself making use of a clone Tech2 owning three Saabs from 1995 - 2001. I just need a confidence boost.

I agree that its essential for any enthusiast. Setting up GlobalTIS can be a little tricky bu there's plenty of help on line, Ive got it setup on an old DELL laptop that has a hardware RS232 port. The main limitation is that it must be a 32 bit windows OS, I used Windows 7 32 bit & and it works a treat as it has better USB and Adobe support. So far I have changed locking options, re-calibrated the spedo for alternative tyre size, reset service interval.
I really appreciate your comments about not getting TIS2000 to work with security access. I have have tried and tried to get it working as well. Based on your advice I'm going to take a shot at GlobalTIS instead. Thanks.

No need for connecting the cig-power connector if you use ODB2-connector, it powers the tech2, the cigcable is only there if you use some of the other connectors that do not have power in them. Also, 9-3 need security access for nearly everything as you say, but 9-5 only needs it for very few things, like programming keys and swap "big" things like instrument gauge cluster (if I remember correctly, it was years since I did that). A nice thing is that the tech2 can have two different program cards in it at same time and then you can shift between them using the shift button, in mine I have one card for 9-5/9-3, and one for 900/9000, very handy.. I also have a opel card laying around that I can put in if needed.
Great video ... I’m ordering my Tech2 .. my Saab 93 turbo just stated to act really crazy.. shutting off at reds lights .. my husband is a mechanic so he usually figures out the problem but his scanner only diagnosis’s .. now I need to pull the big guns out ... also I have an OEM navigation Radio for over a year that I pulled out of a car at the junkyard looks brand new but can’t unlock
Thanks for watching! Your issue can be caused by various things but I would first try to determine if the issue is caused by fuel or spark issues. Fuel pressure can be checked with a fuel pressure gauge. O2 sensors would be another to check. Regardless of 2.0L or 2.8L both are somewhat common for that type of issue with a faulty crank position sensor. The ECU on the 2.0L is more common issue causing the same issue. I've read in the past about bad ABS modules causing shutting off while driving but likely more rare, but wouldn't rule out. A tech2 will definitely assist in diagnosing and is an excellent purchase! saabwisonline.com/ is a great resource to help in diagnosing too. Hope that helps!
Just got given a 2006 9-3 with 66k miles, runs and drives great but a few things aren’t right. The spare key won’t start the car (turn ignition) but central locking works from the key?, the infotainment system is blank which is causing a good few issues like no noise for indicators, reverse sensors etc. Would really like to get it sorted with car prices the way they are, be a real shame even to entertain scrapping it.
Just finished watching Ivan from South Main Auto diagnosis trying to fix a 2006 Saab 9-3 and had to run Tech2Win and run all kind of outdated software for it to work, like Java 6.
It is my understanding that the 9-5 until 2010 does not need security clearance or a computer(just the tech II). Is this not the case? This would only be for the 9-5, not the 9-3.
Do you need security codes and a Candi for a 2006 9.3 2.0 convertible? My 'Gearbox malfunction/ Limited Performance' came on after car died/shut off at a stop sign. Finally turned over and made it home. My mechanic shop only has a Snap-On Scanner, not specific for Saab codes. I have an Apple/ Mac laptop
Thanks for posting. I want to purchase one and one of my main reasons is to turn OFF the damn doors locking when i drive off. it is so annoying pulling up not able to open the doors when dropping off someone or getting out to unhook my trailer etc or open the garage door or anything. UGh... I do not think it is safe if I have an accident to have locked doors my kids cannot get out the car. plus I have 3 saabs and want to do a ton of stuff so this would be useful. I think i have an old xp laptop with a serial port in the loft from 14 years a go will go looking. Thanks again.
Liked your video.. I'm checking SAAB videos out just now as I'm not long out my SAAB and while I was on the motorway 20 mins ago I lost all power from my Turbo.. I've actually had this problem before on another SAAB 93. I'm now on my 4th SAAB and can't recommend the SAAB highly enough. Just as well I've got a Hayabusa to get play on until I either fix the SAAB or bite the Bullet and go out and buy a SAAB 95 as I haven't owned one yet.. Think I'm going to look into buying one of those diagnostic gadget.. Great video. And being a SAAB enthusiast you had my respect immediately bro... All the best for 2020
Very cool to see another Saab and a bike owner!! Glad you found my video helpful! If you plan to stick with Saabs I highly recommend making the investment and picking up a tech2 scanner. Thank you for watching + commenting and best of luck in your Saab journeys.
Thanks for a clear and easy to understand video. I am setting my laptop up now, which is also a Dell 1520 I got from a local computer shop with Win XP SP3 loaded. I downloaded the Foxit Phantom PDF to my other laptop and loaded it on a USB stick. When I installed it onto the Dell, I got "Printer installation failed, please check the print service." Did you see that error, and do you have any advice where to look to fix that? I am very rusty on XP. Thanks.
What did you mean by connectivity problems for the serial port? As in connecting to the serial port adapter? If so do you have any links for replacement serial port connectors?
Hi I've got a saab 9-3 tiid 2008 auto need of some advice, I'm hoping that someone as had this same problem before so can pin point exactly what i gotta do. So basically i parked my car up turned the ignition off and steering wheel lock malfunction came up on dashboard, the key will not turn to the on position in the barrel now and the steering wheel is locked, the key fob will not do anything when i press it either 😢 tried disconnecting the car battery and changed the fuses still nothing. Had battery tested and it's carrying enough volts. If anyone could shed some light on this i would be so grateful? Thanks in advance. 😊
Hello! Thank you for the video. Do you know if this Tech2 clone can have security access to multiple vehicles? Or is one Tech2 clone for one car? I'm trying to do a CIM swap from an '05 9-3 Linear to an '05 9-3 Aero. I used this Tech2 clone (bought it from the link you put in the description) and GlobalTIS to get "security access type 1" for the Aero. I was then able to use the Tech2 clone to remove the Aero's defective CIM (all messages were ok and successful). Then I connected Tech2 to the '05 Linear, tried to remove its CIM, it told me to get security access. I went to the PC, got security access type1 from GlobalTIS, went back to the '05 Linear, and it told me to go get security access AGAIN. I tested that the Tech2 clone remembers the Aero and doesn't ask for security access again after i disconnect from/reconnect to the Aero. But even though GlobalTIS grants security access for additional vehicles (and VIN is correct for each vehicle), the Tech2 clone isn't able to reprogram any other car I tried (i.e. I could not remove the CIM from the '05 9-3 Linear and an '04 9-3 Linear). I also got security access type 1 from TIS 2000 for the '04 Linear, reconnected Tech2 to the '04 Linear, and Tech2 again sent me back to TIS 2000. I know that in all cases the vehicle VIN numbers shown by TIS software were correct. Since the Aero was the first car I used the granted security access on and I had no luck with the subsequent vehicles, all this leads me to believe that my Tech2 clone will only reprogram the first car it gets security access for. Am I missing something? Can I use the same Tech2 clone to remove/add CIMs on multiple SAABs?
cyber cyber cyber cyber il y a 19 heures hey, for my SAAB 9-5 2.0 1999, i've replaced the ECU and the TWICE CONTROL UNIT with new keys (all the kit) but my car still doesnt not recocnize the key (Key not accepted)... what can i do for this problem
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, everyone take note, if you use the tech 2 to just grab a DTC code, change a minor setting for lights etc from your car you may do so with the key in the on position and the engine off. If you are going to play around with your settings for hours TURN ON your engine to prevent your car battery going flat or too low to start your car. MOST IMPORTANT if you are using the Tech 2 to Update your ECU software with the key in the on position and the engine off DO NOT USE the cigarette socket or car battery... you should instead have it plugged into a separate home socket or power source to prevent the memory of your cars ECU being blanked by update failure due to lack of power. If you blank the ECU the car is DEAD forever and only good for parts. Keep on SAABING!!
@@WeakestofWeeks Not a problem, i just felt as more and more Saabies have their own Tech 2's it just had to be said because most mechanics will keep the "Voodoo Knowledge" to themselves in order to stay profitable... such as "throttle bodies" inside which , over time the wire casings become brittle and fall off... this allows signals to jump from one wire to another inside the Throttle body giving false readings and triggering a "limp Home" mode.
@@placewaters8738 To access those wires, after the black cover is removed, do you have to then remove the four insanely tight screws holding the transformer/coil? I've got a 2000 9-5 that went into limp-mode 2 years ago and again last week. After reset, it's ok. Thanks.
@@geecrawdad Sorry for not replying earlier... I have a video of one dismantled .. i will dig it out and send you the clip in a few hours. Ability to Clean (electrical contact cleaner only) & re cover/ shinkwrap the wires as well as soldering skills are recommended. I myself bought a second hand identical T.B. (£90+, neobros) and all worked well ever since, so out of curiosity i took the old one apart found the fault, repaired it, (after watching copious amounts of youtube re-wire/soldering videos) and then put it back in the car and hey presto, all worked perfectly again, sadly i did not video the repair. I am keeping the other TB from Neo Bros as a "rare" working spare.
@@placewaters8738 No problem. Thanks for answering. I went ahead and got the coil off, it was really stuck on the shaft, and applied liquid tape to the wires that I could get to. I couldn't get the part under the coil off. I got the two screws out but it wouldn't budge. Some of the wires run under that, then to the other side of the TB. I put liquid tape on whatever I could reach. I ohmed each terminal to the others. I think there were two that were shorted but maybe they're supposed to be. The only data in WIS was the voltages at the terminals when it's installed. I also removed the four screws but was unable to remove the spring and plastic gear. Maybe it just pulls off but is stuck on. I'd still like to see your video when you get the chance. Do you need my email?
Hi i see your YSU shirt- im from Y town. Im retired ( in Boardman) just bought a 2002 9/3 se convertible. I want to learn somethings about Tech 2. Are you available to connect outside of U Tube? Thanks
Thank you for watching! For your headlight issue I would park on a flat surface and unhook both positive and negative cables and let the vehicle sit for 10mins or so. Then plug back in and see if the headlights self level back to normal. If you're still having issues it could be related to the leveling sensors (one on the front left and one on the rear left control arms). Theres more to the system that controls them but easiest thing would he to check for damaged sensors or corroded connections since they're susceptible to the weather.
after the battery is completely discharged, the 2006 Cadillac BLS car does not read the key and does not give the opportunity to turn on the ignition. Displays "Pull out key, turn steering wheel. Restart"
Do you have any experience with the vcx "cards" that simulate tech 2 over wifi or plugin to PC? I have seen some reviews, but they don't really seem very knowledgeable, and aren't trying to use them with saabs
Any advice for trying to get security access for a 2011? Friend with a tech2 has zero issues for 03-10 but was unable to do anything for my 2011 93 besides read codes.
do I need security access every time I use the tech 2 on my car or, once I have security access stored to my VIN am I good to go when I want to use it.
Good question! If you're only using your tech2 on one car, then you only need to hook your scanner to the laptop once to get security access. After that, the VIN with security access is stored in the tech2's memory card and the laptop is no longer needed. With that being said, you can use the tech2 on more than one Saab, but you would need to use laptop to grant security access for each new VIN.
I have lost key, only one I had to my 03. Saab 9-3.. can you help me ? Ive seen places that say i can send the cim to them and they program keys to it send it back and you don't need to do anymore programming . It's very expensive... Let me know any thoughts..
Interesting question! I know exactly what button you're referring to but honesty not sure if you can enable it via tech2. Even if you can enable it, I'm not sure how you can hook anything up to. All of those buttons in that vertical area are part of one large unit. Would take some serious disassembly and poking around with a multimeter or something.
@@WeakestofWeeks I did get some help today by a friendly stranger that activated the function of the "-" button. I found this person on a website over persons that owns Tech 2 equipment. The activation didn't require any special access. There is a connector in the engine bay between the fuse box and the wheel house which can be connected to the auxiliary lights. The fuse box require relay in slot 5 and a fuse on slot "F24".
Did you get a Tech2 error code of M3148 and E3147 : Security access not possible in TIS 2000??? and thats was why used the Global one? My USB to serial converter work fine out of the box and spare one didnt work.. also the Ethernet cable was bad in the kit.
Ah that E3147 sounds very familiar but I don't remember for sure. I kept trying and trying but no matter what I couldn't get TIS2000 to work for me. First time I tried the GlobalTIS I was able to get access and never looked back
So once you get access through tis, is it good for your car forever? The only reason I'm asking is because my computer had died and I don't want to have to go through all of that again
As long as you only use it for one car then you should be good. As soon as you try to make adjustments on another car it will grab that vin and want security access again
In your door locks are plug and Play by the way you do not need a scanner and all these people who keep saying you need tech too too do your throttle body that's silly you could do that and be a lot quicker but you can run it and adoption program but it is not necessary you can do the necessary procedure and it hard resets the computer to take the throttle body you have to drive so many miles and it start the car so many times you got to do this you got to do that
Does the T2 retain the security access once you shut it off and disconnect from the car? I got security access just like you did and on a subsequent hook-up to the car it asked me to get security clearance again???
Normally once the tech2 stores the VIN to the car you're working on you do not need to hook back up to your laptop to regain security access. With that being said, mine has asked for security access again for certain things at random. Could be coincidence but I've stopped using the cigarette lighter plug to power the Candi module and have been using more of the standard wall adapter. Since then I haven't needed to regain security but again, probably just a coincidence.
Can i change the driveaway aspect with tech 2..i have s used saab and i have been told its setup for the owner b4 me...i drive away and it cuts out is this an anti theft setting how csn i change this please thsnks
The only "drive away" related change I am aware of with the tech2 is door lock at drive off. If you're having issues with cutout while driving you likely have a mechanical or electrical issue. I would look into air filter replacement, spark plugs, coil packs, fuel filter if your model is equipped with one, etc.
Just watched your video, and it's very informative, the questions I have are, why not to use the software that came with your cloned tech2?, mine came with everything including the USB, my only problem was finding an old laptop, I have one with windows 7 home premium, 3gb, 36-bit operating system, can I get the software downloaded on this laptop?
Yes, but you would have to get a Pass-Thru that's compatible with Tech2Win. For this, you would need either a Mongoose or an MDI device. I have both of them. One is the Viag VCX-Nano which works better with GDS2. Another is a knock-out Mongoose 2 programmer GM. Tech 2Win doesn't work with the Mongoose due to it being a clone that doesn't have the proper protocols for Pass-Thru. The Mongoose costs between 482-500 dollars. It's a good setup as I saw it in action, but I end up getting the Tech 2 from OBD2eShop for $331.l With that I can do all of the programmings I need to do with my Saabs. Can't wait until it gets here!!!!!
I'm not entirely sure. Visually the Chinese clone looks like the real deal but I imagine there's markings somewhere on a real unit that aren't there on the clone.
Any advice on getting security access? I can’t get the security key to show up on tis2000 ? I’m having a heck of a time with this! Thank you so much! How did you get Global tis to work?
By far the biggest pain is getting the security access. For me, I could never get the TIS2000 to grant me security access regardless of the amount of times I tried and the variations of installs. GlobalTIS is much more labor intensive of an install but works perfectly for me. I have a link in the description of this video that takes you to a forum on how to get security access through GlobalTIS. Take your time and follow the instructions and you should be good to go.
Like your videos. I'm debating getting a clone to program a key for my Turbo X that only came with a single FOB. Do you recommend getting one? Did you overcome your security issues?
Thanks for watching! Yes you definitely don't want to lose your only fob. Tech 2's can do a lot and are well worth the investment. I did overcome my security access issues by using GlobalTIS and not using TIS2000.
by any chance can you make a video explaining how to install global TIS im having trouble its so confusing filling out the form and inserting the keygen
If I can partition my existing hard drive on my dell inspiron laptop then I can show the GlobalTIS installation. It's a lot of work and confusing at times but not impossible!
hello.i am thinking about buying a tech 2 clone. can you please help me to choose which one to buy?i find some of them to ebay and they say that it can do only diagnose and nothing else!is it true?thanks
Yep for sure you can! The reason folks have mixed results is bc they try to pair non-oem keys. It's tempting to use generic off brand keys (even if correct frequency) found online for much cheaper but they won't pair correctly. Tech2 clones do everything the real deal does. You just need the correct parts to pair.
Hello there, Bought a Tech 2 used with Saab card in it. It has previous owner's VIN recorded on it. I have TIS 2000 on my old Laptop windows XP. I tried SPS and request info. It gives me the existing VIN it doesn't give me selectble choice to continue .,...... to add new my Saab VIN... I'm doing something wrong. Please help. ... 2003 Saab 95. V6 Arc. It says don't use Candy.. Thanks
You're on the right track. Plug your tech2 into your Saab and try to make an adjustment. For example all doors unlock at key out, etc. It will then stop you and say you need security access and it will store your new vin. Plug into your laptop to finalize access via GlobalTIS or TIS2000 and you should be good.
Unfortunately, the tech2 stuff is pretty ancient now so XP is the main operating system to use with it. I would take your current laptop and partition it to use XP specifically to run TIS2000 or GlobalTIS.
Unfortunately the NG95 is different electrically and the tech2 will not work. I can't speak from experience (I have yet to own a NG95) but I've heard you need a GM MDI and GlobalTIS to make adjustments and to diagnose. I'm sure with some basic research you'll be able to find exactly what you need to talk to you NG95. Hope that helps!
Apparently, A lot of people are having trouble gaining security access. I installed Win XP 32 bit SP3, on a Dell latitude D630, which has a built-in serial port. I'm giving it one more stab, then jumping to GlobalTIS. Does GlobalTIS require ver 146, for the PCMCIA Saab card? Is the crack included with your download? Is Java required?

Excellent Video, CLEAR and EASY to follow. Thanks... The only thing I want to ask is my SAAB is of yr. 2000 SE 2.0T, will this TECH2 work? Also will a "regular" scanner, say an Actron OBD II Auto Scanner work w/ any SAAB 2000 or later, or it HAS TO BE this TECH2? Just saying... Thank you again for posting. Just SUBSCRIBED...
Yes, the Tech II will work with your car. You just need to make sure they sell you the latest SAAB card. You can use an OBD scanner, but you will only get ODB codes. You need a Tech II to access the manufacturer's diagnostic information (and there's lots of it) to check out problems, as well as to change vehicle settings, clear ABS & SRS codes, divorce/marry radios, etc.

Hey man thanks for the video. I know you said you haven't messed around with programming keys, but have you seen or heard anything about how easy it would be to do? I lost my keys and now have no working key fob and wanted to fix it myself instead of paying way too much. Thanks!

Hey weakest of weeks, are you from the Youngstown area?? I noticed your shirt and live 25min from Y-Town. I was wondering if you could do a few keys and ECU for some cash
Before you connect the Tech2 to a computer for security access you need to connect the T2 to your Saab. Attempt to make an adjustment. Don't just read DTC's you need to try and adjust something. It will not allow you to change anything and will prompt you for security access. Then disconnect the T2 from your car and hook to computer for security access. From there it should pull your cars vin.

UGh... I do not think it is safe if I have an accident to have locked doors my kids cannot get out the car. plus I have 3 saabs and want to do a ton of stuff so this would be useful. I think i have an old xp laptop with a serial port in the loft from 14 years a go will go looking. Thanks again.
Definitely a must if you own multiple Saabs!
@@WeakestofWeeks Mind reader. Just purchased it yesterday. Cheers.
Hard s starter and battery and car won't start
Thanks for a clear and easy to understand video. I am setting my laptop up now, which is also a Dell 1520 I got from a local computer shop with Win XP SP3 loaded. I downloaded the Foxit Phantom PDF to my other laptop and loaded it on a USB stick. When I installed it onto the Dell, I got "Printer installation failed, please check the print service." Did you see that error, and do you have any advice where to look to fix that? I am very rusty on XP. Thanks.
Good vid, have 8 GM based cars so the 2007++ saabs are the pain to do with the PC like he said.
What did you mean by connectivity problems for the serial port? As in connecting to the serial port adapter? If so do you have any links for replacement serial port connectors?
i love my icarsoft VOL V2 for saab and volo dosent need anything more than diagnostic tool
Can I use the same Tech2 clone to remove/add CIMs on multiple SAABs?

hey, for my SAAB 9-5 2.0 1999, i've replaced the ECU and the TWICE CONTROL UNIT with new keys (all the kit) but my car still doesnt not recocnize the key (Key not accepted)... what can i do for this problem
My Saab’s a 2004 93. How far could I get without security access?
Great tip and recommendation! Thank you!!
Wish I saw this when the video was published, can no longer get the Tech 2 clone, are there other similar quality ones?

Hey great video and great info is there a updated link as I can't find any to get tis or global anywhere so I can get security access
Cheers rich
The link for thr scan tool doesnt exist anymore can you put a updated link please.
Hi great video any chance you could show how to reset hid headlight mine have gone a bit stupid got one light aimed high and the other low.

Friend with a tech2 has zero issues for 03-10 but was unable to do anything for my 2011 93 besides read codes.
hallo very good . what about saab after 2013 .. how can we programing ..pleaaaaaas
Is this on the 9-5 too? Do you have to have the security for them too?
do I need security access every time I use the tech 2 on my car or, once I have security access stored to my VIN am I good to go when I want to use it.
For your TIS 200 you will need to copy paste something for it to work
Can this program/flash the crankshaft position variation learn???
To activate the button "-" for example auxiliary lights function by, do this required any special TECH 2 access?
Very neat I had no idea that was even possible. Thank you for following up and explaining!
A question on the power supply AC to 12 volt. "What is the amps it puts out or mA output?" and thanks for your "you tube" info its great

First time I tried the GlobalTIS I was able to get access and never looked back
very educative video. Thank you. How about SPS for ECU programming, will I need to purchase a subscription?
So once you get access through tis, is it good for your car forever? The only reason I'm asking is because my computer had died and I don't want to have to go through all of that again
As long as you only use it for one car then you should be good. As soon as you try to make adjustments on another car it will grab that vin and want security access again
Thank you for this informative video!
Hello! Can tis Global be used on NootBook without Tec2? I have the Software installed and want to use with PassThru?
Can i change the driveaway aspect with tech 2..i have s used saab and i have been told its setup for the owner b4 me...i drive away and it cuts out is this an anti theft setting how csn i change this please thsnks
The only "drive away" related change I am aware of with the tech2 is door lock at drive off. If you're having issues with cutout while driving you likely have a mechanical or electrical issue. I would look into air filter replacement, spark plugs, coil packs, fuel filter if your model is equipped with one, etc.
Gonna find my self a Tech " ;) Great Video.
The software that comes with the tech2 is basically for dealer use.
Do you have any experience with the Tech2Win setup? I've heard it is a good alternative to the Tech2 setup.
Can he program a memory of saab 93 2.2 tid 2004??
Thank you for the video. Very easy to understand. I have a Cadillac BLS 2.0 litre Turbo 2008 model? Will this work as same as the SAAB 93.
You can buy a GM card for that for $20. I have one for Saab another for GMs, it is different
what a treat! thanks mate :D
I like what you're doing here so I subscribed. One question, how can you tell if it's a clone or an original??
I'm not entirely sure. Visually the Chinese clone looks like the real deal but I imagine there's markings somewhere on a real unit that aren't there on the clone.
hello, can you restore files from the google drive bin? Please
Why aren't these built in ?
Like your videos. I'm debating getting a clone to program a key for my Turbo X that only came with a single FOB. Do you recommend getting one? Did you overcome your security issues?
Thanks for watching! Yes you definitely don't want to lose your only fob. Tech 2's can do a lot and are well worth the investment. I did overcome my security access issues by using GlobalTIS and not using TIS2000.
Hello, does anyone have a link to working and verified Tech2? I’m preety scared of ebay or aliexpress clones. Thanks saabist!
by any chance can you make a video explaining how to install global TIS im having trouble its so confusing filling out the form and inserting the keygen
If I can partition my existing hard drive on my dell inspiron laptop then I can show the GlobalTIS installation. It's a lot of work and confusing at times but not impossible!
Another thing I forgot to mention, how can I get my tech2 to work on newer vehicles lets say 2011-2020?
2011 and up model year 9-3 requires a temporary subscription to TIS2WEB from Orio
hello.i am thinking about buying a tech 2 clone. can you please help me to choose which one to buy?i find some of them to ebay and they say that it can do only diagnose and nothing else!is it true?thanks
True
Can you adjust the speedometer? Mine is about 2.5 mph fast and I'd like it to be dead-on if possible. Thanks.
You can adjust the tire size with a tech2 which will help with speedo accuracy but wont be exact.
@@WeakestofWeeks Thanks!!
Excellent info video.
can you pair keys with the clone? I've gotten some mixed answers
You ain't lying..

Partition your hard drive and run Windows XP on one partition specifically for tech2 usage.
Hello there,

to add new my Saab VIN...

@@WeakestofWeeks Thank you sir. Just saw your message. Helping others....., God help you. Guaranteed.
I got that chinese clone and works fine but to add my vin number in to tech 2 I have to use windows xp ? Its there any other way ?
Unfortunately, the tech2 stuff is pretty ancient now so XP is the main operating system to use with it. I would take your current laptop and partition it to use XP specifically to run TIS2000 or GlobalTIS.
Great Think, You think its work with Saab 9-5 NG?
Works on windows 10 64 bit dont bother with xp

For the 9000 you can use a tech2, but you have to use the version 44 instead of the 148 shown in the video
@@iamgumbydammit2217 Hi, thank you so much for your reply. Now I understand the difference between the Tech II and other OBD II scanners. Hey man thanks for the video. I know you said you haven't messed around with programming keys, but have you seen or heard anything about how easy it would be to do? I lost my keys and now have no working key fob and wanted to fix it myself instead of paying way too much. Thanks!

That chinese "copy/paste" thing really works same as oryginal ?
Hey weakest of weeks, are you from the Youngstown area?? I noticed your shirt and live 25min from Y-Town. I was wondering if you could do a few keys and ECU for some cash
I used to live Ytown but moved away a few yrs ago. I'm now in Columbus. If you ever make it out this way I may be able to assist.
I have access 3 but i didnt show any vin number.,
Before you connect the Tech2 to a computer for security access you need to connect the T2 to your Saab. Attempt to make an adjustment. Don't just read DTC's you need to try and adjust something. It will not allow you to change anything and will prompt you for security access. Then disconnect the T2 from your car and hook to computer for security access. From there it should pull your cars vin.
