But watch out for said closest relative’s rival! I remember getting the DVD for "Fight for the Fox Box" as part of an issue of Shonen Jump that came to me in the mail. It was pretty entertaining in a slightly lame way, especially in how the whole premise of the block's villains trying to destroy the local station's Saturday morning lineup led to some supremely odd dialogue exchanges and segues. Really, the only the thing I was disappointed by was that the big reward for going through with the ARG attached to the special was just a Kirby coloring page. One of my first true "meh" moments. At least the preview for Sonic X kicked all kinds of butt...before I came to realize that would be literally just the first five minutes of what was actually an uneven slice-of-life series.

Yeah, when it came to the writing and dubwork, 4kids was a very decent dubbing company, all things considered. The company’s overuse of censorship is actually what made the company fail overall (and the shady management of the TV rights for Yugioh! didn’t help either.).
What is funny is that their take on TMNT was probably one of the best TMNT cartoons ever made until they went into the future. It was not as censored as their Anime shows and it had actual humans as Foot Clan grunts instead of robots. I sometimes felt that they censored the Anime to such a degree in order to gain copyright over the works as derivative content. Cause while I understand toning down the sexuality and violence to a certain extent things like censoring Death was bizarre to me. I learned about death when I was like 4 years old so death should not be something to be censored at all. I understand graphic violence and overtly sexuality but death is something that is ever present.
They didn't though. They were responsible for providing voice actors. They didn't provide writing or animation. However, I suspect there are responsible for the show's lack of blood. Ex. Donnie received a gash in one episode but it look like he just knicked his leg.
@@SirBlackReeds plus, u know, the Same as it never was episode where all the turtles except Donnie were killed on screen lol I honestly think that episode was partially to blame for all the writers etc... getting fired and we ended up with the dumbed down and more childish Fast Forward and Back to the Sewers seasons.
i had this dvd too. it was so obvious they re-used animation throughout. seeing the limited interactions between the characters was... weird, but I was already a fan of many of the shows anyways. I Liked the super brawl weekend commercials though I hated that kirby was absent for the 2nd one, and tied twice. These were weird but I liked them more than I disliked them. This takes me back
Fun fact: the "fox box" is now the name of the computer given to broadcasting teams responsible for fox sports broadcasts. It contains all of the graphics and transitions that are used for every broadcast, and there are hundreds if not thousands around the country, and they're used in everything from nfl games to division II hockey, everything aired on fox uses a "fox box"
Weren't the Fox Box and Kids WB different things? I remember flipping between the two every morning to watch Kirby and Viewtiful Joe until the became the wb for kids.
OMG, thank you for this. I've always had scattered memories of this special and never knew what it was. I am now going to reimburse myself in some classic shows
As soon as I saw that Kids WB logo, memories of running downstairs as fast as I could on Saturday mornings, just so I didn't miss a single episode of "The Batman" ran through my head. That show was my JAM. Still is, tbh.
Billiam Billiam I really want to see you do a review of Sonic Before the Sequel, After the Sequel, and Chrono Adventure. I mean Sega is okay with fan games. Hell I would love to see you review Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated

Cause while I understand toning down the sexuality and violence to a certain extent things like censoring Death was bizarre to me. I learned about death when I was like 4 years old so death should not be something to be censored at all. I understand graphic violence and overtly sexuality but death is something that is ever present.
@@Epsilonsama It wasn't exactly theirs though. They didn't make it.
Thanks for respecting my opinion on 4Kids.
I remember Funky Cops had an episode about Alcatraz that got meta as hell
TMNT 2003 was basically the only original from scratch thing 4Kids ever did
They didn't though. They were responsible for providing voice actors. They didn't provide writing or animation. However, I suspect there are responsible for the show's lack of blood. Ex. Donnie received a gash in one episode but it look like he just knicked his leg.
@@SirBlackReeds plus, u know, the Same as it never was episode where all the turtles except Donnie were killed on screen lol
I honestly think that episode was partially to blame for all the writers etc... getting fired and we ended up with the dumbed down and more childish Fast Forward and Back to the Sewers seasons.
TMNT 2k3 was a more faithful adaptation of the mirage comics than the 80s cartoon (or as faithful as it could get and still be kid friendly)
I've had a CD of this since 2nd grade. Must've seen it like a hundred times on my crt tv. Its just sitting in my garage now.
I actually have this disc, I remember my elementary teacher gave this to me for something 😂
i had this dvd too. it was so obvious they re-used animation throughout. seeing the limited interactions between the characters was... weird, but I was already a fan of many of the shows anyways. I Liked the super brawl weekend commercials though I hated that kirby was absent for the 2nd one, and tied twice. These were weird but I liked them more than I disliked them. This takes me back
So Basically... This was an ARG, Before that Even Existed...? It's actually pretty cool if that's going to be the Case. :3
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it was the blare witch project which started the trend.
@@jaded151 So... It's back in 1999 when ARG's became a Thing! Cool! :3
Dude i loved that tmnt series so fuckin much it was so badass
Dang if only we had succeeded to save the 4kids shows
YES! YES! YES!
I think my friend had this on DVD. I remember watching it in his parent’s SUV that had a DVD player in it. The mid-2000s were a wild time.
Munchies are in fact the greatest crossover ever.
You forgot "IS WEIRD!"
Describing the Winx club as "french sailor moon" made me laugh because that's quite true, however it was italian
Weren't the Fox Box and Kids WB different things? I remember flipping between the two every morning to watch Kirby and Viewtiful Joe until the became the wb for kids.
I normally skip ads but your VRV ad segway was so clever I had too
Winx was Italian, not French
OMG, thank you for this. I've always had scattered memories of this special and never knew what it was. I am now going to reimburse myself in some classic shows
Jimmy timmy power hour is the best crossover
the most ambitious crossover ever is now Billiam using this video about an ad with ads in it to advertise VRV
What was up with that Cramp twins voice? That is not what I remember for that show? Did the UK/Ireland get a different voice cast?
I'm assuming someone from 4Kids filled in for Tom Kenny.
As soon as I saw that Kids WB logo, memories of running downstairs as fast as I could on Saturday mornings, just so I didn't miss a single episode of "The Batman" ran through my head.
That show was my JAM. Still is, tbh.
So when we getting digimon fusion review
King Messy I have about 25 episodes left
Billiam Billiam I really want to see you do a review of Sonic Before the Sequel, After the Sequel, and Chrono Adventure. I mean Sega is okay with fan games. Hell I would love to see you review Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated
King Messy Kinda sad the dub never finished the last arc.
This crossover actually got kid me into the idea of crossovers to begin with, which is so surreal in hindsight.
💜
I need to see this special. Luckily, I just did a search and there's a copy here on UA-cam.
Time to see how weird this really gets
