- Sufficient to say the new ZR2 Colorados are pretty sick. What if I told you there's a chance my truck, 12+ years ago, was used for its inspiration...?
Well at least let me dream it so. I was one of the first to cut the factory first gen bumpers in what I ended up calling the "ZR2 Cut". This valance delete and bumper cut allows for better tire clearance and better approach angle in front of the tires and did i mention it looks pretty sweet?
This is the debut on the all new Badland Industries Z71 Skid Plate. Bolts in to the factory location of what I call the "Immanent Crash Early Detection System" AKA the factory splash guard. If you want to protect your truck and frame and want to look good doing it, go get you one of these sick new skid plates coming soon.

Just got an 05 Colorado. Getting ready to get your 3" lift. Looks like I'm doing the zr2 cut as well!!! Love the mods thank you
Congrats buddy. Keep oil in it. It'll be a great truck for ya.
Always love seeing you come out with more aftermarket options for these trucks!
Appreciate the support
As soon as the skid plate is back in stock im buying!
Skid plate installed for almost 2 weeks now. It’s a quality piece! Especially for my little z85. No doubt it’s the strongest piece on the front of my truck.
Skid plate looks great! Definitely interested
I don’t think the oil filter placement is a problem with the v8’s. Filter is further back
The v8 should be fine since its at the back of the oil pan.
For the skid plate Do you have to remove the sway bar if the truck isn’t lifted?
Nope it clears the sway bar
@@BadlandIndustries so it will fit in no problem dont have to cut or anything
@@Evdrad correct. No modifications
Good job
Would these fit on a z85 also? I have 2006 gmc canyon
No. I'm working on one for you guys too
Hell yeah thanks man 🤙🏽
Skid plate for the Z85 4x4?
Yessir. Only a few more in-stock
Just ordered lift kit front and rear, EZ tailgate kit, light pod brackets and front differential ring protection and as soon as these come in stock will hopefully throw it all together. You being which looks like the 355 expert. Do you know of any aftermarket parts to tighten up the suspension? Can’t really seem to find anything like front upgraded sway bars for my 2005 4x4 Canyon.
Appreciate the order. Lifting the front will help tighten things up. With a little creativity you can install a zq8 rear sway bar.
@@BadlandIndustries yea that’s what I heard I’ve heard great things from the Hellwig bars. But for some reason idk if my front end suspension is worn out but man feels way to soft idk if that’s just how they all feel. Hopefully with the lift, new shocks and bigger tires it will make it more solid feeling.
@@ltx383 how many miles?
@@BadlandIndustries 170k. Just order a front end rebuild kit hopefully that does it.
Good video as always. Swaybar question. Do you know if the H3 swaybar will fit the stock Z71 LCAs, are they wider?
Wider
I’m assuming this skid will not fit a non Z71 2012 LT?
Technically will fit z85 4x4 as well
Could you make a cover for the oil filter
What do you mean?
I jumped mine to remove the front lip
Thats the most efficient way to do it. Lol
@@BadlandIndustries wish my friends recorded the unscheduled flight
The skid plates already sold out?
I have them set like that so you guys can request stock updates. I dont have them back from production yet.
i reallly like how the skyjacker one looks & easy install they went all the way down to where it says rancho & gave it that Prerunner look.. they
stoped making them u could make it like that could u make me one?? Part Number SPCC4042 -- Skyjacker Skid
I could. It wouldn't be $112 tho
@@BadlandIndustries ok
