did you notice the issue on the inside of the pipe, on the flare out section? at least the way they manufactured mine, the smaller pipe was pushed into the flared section creating a lip/pocket for the airflow to catch on. i had to use a special cutoff wheel on the inside to remove the excess and taper it so the transition was smooth.

I didn't remove the cat. In fact I make mention that it is staying in the bike.
But... if I did remove it, and got it dyno tuned for the additional airflow, it would burn all the fuel anyway. Rendering your assumption of my ethics baseless. Also... these engine put out FAR less emissions than ANY average car even when they're running rich. I'm also in the USA.... one of the least polluted countries on earth. Especially compared to fucking China or India. So stuff it, bud.... go worry about something else.
@@MotoMedic My sincerest apologies. No disrespect intended and I'm glad that you left in the catalytic converter.
and he's keeping the cat ! how silly is that
@@stephanegregoire8738 not silly at all. Removing the cat increases the dB to a point where it's far too loud. I'm 50....ive ridden race bikes for a long ass time. And this is a street going motorcycle. I wanted it to sound good. It does exactly that. Criticizing what other people decide to do their own motorcycles is fucking retarded. Never go #fullretard
@@MotoMedic American...can't save the expletives and insults - in their genes, poor US kids
Thats one ugly muffler it's got to go
Couldn't agree more.
Need to dyno / tuning right?
Only if you gut the header / take thr catalytic converter material out of the pipe. It frees up airflow so you would run lean.
With this.... No tune needed. But can't hurt. 🤘
what's the size for the mid pipe?
