    In Canada the hpa tank rehydro law changed over a year ago.
    Now, if you have any tank under 61cu, it no longer needs to be rehydro tested, over 61cu still will require you to have it rehydro every 5yrs.

      Yeah good thing you didn't waste your money on a 4500psi carbon fiber ninja tank that only lasts 15 years... You would think the more expensive ones would last forever, they don't tell you that when you buy them or no one besides millionaires would buy them.

    Just to let you know, the service and use time starts on a tank AFTER the 1st fill. So if you have a brand new bottle with no regulator... sitting in a box, the 5 year starts at the 1st fill. That's why you can't really go by dates on tanks... because the time doesn't start UNTILL it's filled for the 1st time. Nobody EVER mentions this, because they want to sell you new tanks constantly.

    As an extension to this video, do regulators have a lifespan? How do you tell if it’s still good, what’s the point of having a tank certified to hold 4500 psi if your reg is going to be the failure point.

    • @detch7675
      @detch7675 4 роки тому +2

      Ninja regs are the best. But they do wear down over time. Shiukd be good for a few years. Goodnews they are easily rebuildable.

    I just got 4 tanks from my friend and he said they are all Co2, I have one 12oz, one 20oz, and two carbon fiber tanks from carleton/pure energy. For the 2 small Co2 tanks they were made in 2003 and 2004. For the 2 carbon fiber tanks they were made in 2005 and 2006. I was wondering should I try and get them hydro tested or just go buy some new ones? And am I able to empty the 2 carbon fiber tanks of Co2 and put o2 in them or no? Thank you

      check out axe owners Facebook pages and just make a post explaining your issue. Someone will help you get it running again. Axes aren’t bad really, mine just went down every other week and KEE wouldn’t honor their “lifetime warranty” so I switched to PE and never looked back. So when it’s time to dispose of your carbon fiber tank, do you get rid of the regulator, too? Where do you dispose of the tank, just toss it in the trash?

      No, as long as the reg is functional and has both burst disk it is fine. There is no expiration date on regs.

    So I have older tanks that have never been rehydro’d since I haven’t been played in quite a few years. Is the life span 15 years of “in hydro” time or just a flat 15 years from born on date. For example, I have a tank that was produced in 2004, never rehydro’d, can I still get it rehydro’d and last another 10 years or is it trash because 15 years from the production date has lapsed. Thank you in advance.

    • @SenMcNuggies
      @SenMcNuggies 4 роки тому

      Fiber wrapped tanks expire 15 years from the date manufactured, regardless of how many times they have been hydro tested, unless the tank meets an ISO standard. Steel and aluminum tanks are a different, if you let them lapse, they can be certified again unless they fail.

    • @aimeagle
      @aimeagle 4 роки тому +1

      The tank will say a brand somewhere on it. Basically, like three companies make tanks anymore but they can be branded differently. HK, Ninja, Empire, FS First Strike, and immortal air are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
