Red also stains like a mofo, same with blue.
Though you can still get red paint from Nelson and a few smaller manufacturers, they have fixed the staining problem and most modern red paint red doesn't look like blood.
I remember playing with red paint about 7 years ago got 2 pallets of it from the army lol it sucked.

Hell Survivors in Michigan uses red paintballs.
Here in Germany red paint is forbidden because it looks a lot like blood. Thought this might be interesting to some people. :)
They Banned them in Canada, for the same reason, looks like blood newbies freak out, however, lots of good memories shooting RED paint back in the day.

Mag fed players should also avoid the higher tournament grade paints due to their brittle shells. If you're putting brittle paint into a magazine, you're gonna have a bad time.

Fuse Fire yeah often magfed is all hits count due paint is tougher. Sucks to shoot loosely clothed guy a full mag and not one breaks due loose clothes, bounce shirts and the like. If none were to use tournament protection midrange balls would actually always break.
Hello. I used GI 5 Stars paintballs at the last months and performed great. Shot from a Milsig M17 and Hybrid mag. I might test Valken Graffiti next to compare!!!
He also forgot to mention that a lot of fields won't allow oil-based paint anymore either, also because of how much harder it is to clean, and that it also doesn't wash away from the field with rain as easily.

Cheers from Colombia! Here we call your monster balls "Smurfs" , and gosh do they hurt AND stain... In MLA (largest MILSIM organization across Latin America) we banned red paint because it may masquerade real injuries... Cheers
Blue was also banned by a lot of fields back in the early and mid 2000's because a lot of blue paint would stain just like older pink paint. I remember playing tournaments with pink fill paint and it would leave your skin pink for a week or more no matter how much you washed that stuff.
I shoot an axe2.0 with a dye ltr hopper. And never shoot anything more then 35 a case. I do well with it and recommend it. I play once or twice a month so I’m not stressing over pro level paint. I mostly shoot defy paint. . Great stuff
monster balls were mad popular in Hawaii when i was younger. ill never forget taking one to the top of the dome from like 20 ft away. it felt like a rock skipped off my head.

The banned paint colors are really interesting! I knew about the yellow because it discusses it in NXL rules, but I never knew about the pink and blue.

I shot some valken graffiti after your video through my shocker xls and it shot great and had a nice spread. Here most parks have GI and to me doesn’t shoot as good and doesn’t break often. I get lots of more bounces and minor bruising from impact on me and usually by the time I’m checking if the paint broke on me like on my back or side I’m walking off.
Been trying to meet u in person but keep missing u out here in modesto. I went to go buy that sarrico coat 77 ninja tank at extreme paintball because i saw it on ur channel and micheal said he sold it to you. Extreme paintball for life.

I have been to capital edge (which is in Sacramento) several times and the paint that they sell there is great works fine for everybody I go with but they do charge 60$ and have some colors banned. So regardless your going to have to use what they provide there and great vid keep it up.
I've played consistently well with evil paint in my TMC. The Apex2 barrel broke a lot, but a switch to my J&J ceramic fixed that.

Is there a correlation between thw marker's operation pressure and level of brittleness it can handle or are there more factors that determine how soft the marker is on paint?

I have an etha 2 and I will shoot anything I put in it. There I a small difference when shoot high and low end paint. My paint choice is valley infinity or outdoor. That stuff will last for just about ever if u store it right.

Haven’t played it about three years but last I used was graffiti,been playing since 2000 used all from cheap to expensive and there is a difference I remember using some paint called anarchy it was pretty kool and Allstars was good but now there is all new jacks now
ive shot many paint on the market already, and ive shot gi sportz 4 star in my A5 and also 98, and i may have seen 2 ball breaks in total over years of using this set up

Ahhh monster ball…I remember using monster ball in my backyard for target practice all the time. Thankfully I never used it on the field.
Funny, my local field exclusively uses pink paint. GI Sportz Field Grade to be exact.
I love paintballing. I just got out of the army, and recently got back into it here in Texas. I just got an Ollie lang CS1 and a regular ego 11 (expensive, but i love the sport so much and a big fan of Ollie especially the new 1v1 tour). I just wanted to say the sport has a high cost (paint and gear mainly). Other sports offer so much for the relative cost. (Jui jitsu is 100/ a month, basketball $30/ every few years, etc). Paintball is like 50-75 for paint alone, then admission fees etc. i think it would become a lot more popular/sponsored not by having better brand deals at the high end and marketability, but making it more cost efficient on the low end.
at the field I work at, we still have marks on every bunker from monster balls
The reason my local field bans "Home" paint is some players thought thy were funny and used pepper balls and solids on feald.
I really like wreck elite paint or Draxxus paintballs try them they are great for woodsball
#PBQT I stopped playing paintball since 2012 and I am coming back. I have a really used planet eclipse 9 ego and i don't know if its best to keep using the old ego or buy a new empire axe 2.0 or mid range marker. Any thoughts?

Art Paintball produces the best Tournament and Magfed Paintalls!
For Tournament you should try "Berserker", for Magfed "Commander" (OffSeason or Winter).
The Berserker is unbelievable!
Commander Paintballs are indeed good, by good I mean hard, round, yet hard to break on target too. We get hits from these paints and there are no breaks! (also they smell like gum :D)
My experience with Valken infinity has been terrible, i've never had a case not have dimples or extremely oblong balls. D3fy is making some incredible paint for the price, even their practice/level 1 stuff. Have you had a chance to try out their paint?

yes someone feels me with that new d3fy paint. im not kidding when I say I shoot ropes at 35 a case yea it not brittle as the empire ultra evil I shoot too but it breaks when it is supposed to like a normal ball. if it was too hard I would up to 45 a case level 2 but I love their "practice paint"
Idk about monster ball but I got shot with a reball from six feet away like five years ago and the bruise lasted for a month, I can still see a slightly darker spot on my leg this long after. So if monster ball wouldn't break at three feet, RIP
I've only shot empire and valken paint, feilds here in MD only allow feild paint so far.
Will brass markers ever make a come back ? Like cockers are being rereleased. Would be pretty cool to have some new brass markers. Probably won’t happen due to the weight wimps but one can hope
What kind of paintball should a tippmann a5 use?? And do a tippmann a5 review pls!
For mag fed best 0.68cal balls are Tippmann's Combat Series.
I had a kid shoot me with monster ball years ago, he felt pretty bad because it felt like getting shot with a rock. He didn't have any money for field paint so I bought him some. A little after that that crap was banned from all over.
#PBQT is it worth getting a quick fill station at home so you can fill your own tanks if needing to do maintenance and if so what brand and where from

One Time someone was shooting an Autococker that was over-tuned on a Small Map, and I got NAILED in the temple by a Monsterball flying at 430FPS!
Hit me on the mask and still knocked me out for a second, I half-way fell over after getting a Flash of white. Told the Refs after the game and they chrono'd the cocker and found out he was cutting Field paint with Monster Paint and shooting SCARY hot.

What’s a good paintball brand to use with the Tippmann Tmc
LOL I remember monsterballs, I used nothing but those back when I played woodsball from like 2000-2003 because I never ever had any of them break in my loader, marker, or barrels. this was back when I used a spyder elite and a tippman 98, the few years before I started playing speedball in 03. monsterballs did leave nasty welts and they were notorious for having a quarter of the bucket of them being flat . I would buy those 2000-5000 round buckets of them at walmart and like the bottom 200 balls would be flat as pancakes but none were broken lol.
#PBQT With the release of the Gmek, CVO and other mid to high end mechanicals, should we expect to start seeing a resurgence of mechanical tournament play or do you feel this is more of a gimmick (albeit resulting in awesome markers)?
here in new jersey paint that isnt 100 percent peg fill is banned due to the pine barrens.

my field is capped out at 280fps
NXL events usually have 3 to 4 paint vendors, however in my all my experience of playing tournaments GI Sports provide the best paint you can possibly shoot..
My first choice of paint for a tournament would be G.I 5 star & 4 star if 5 is not available. No there is no 4 or 5 star I would probably shoot Ultra Evil which Ironically ended

tipx is the best as a secondary marker since it doesn't pierce the 12 gram until you pull the trigger.
Can you do a comparison between the GI Stealth and the Dye DSR. I’m really torn on which one to pick up especially since I’m getting back in the sport.
The GI stealth is a private label Gtek 160-R (different milling, crappier barrel, crappier case, more expensive). The stealth is a waste of money imo

Did zap just buy out all the old brands? I remember when it was Zapp and was dope but when they went under the first time and came back the quality was lacking...

There was monster ball that was blue then there was an orange one that did the same thing they were difficult to break but when they did was more like a watered down Gatorade was hard to see the hit I used it just to shoot my markers at trees and such

I play pump mostly so what paint would you recommend using? My field paint is GI custom blend and it runs ssssuuppoerrr small like I’m having to use my .679 freak back and I still get rollouts lol also is there another super small barrel kit?

Here in Maryland at our local field Blue is banned because we have paintballs at dicks sporting goods called Triumph paintballs and there solid too. Rarely break
I know I used light blue marbalizer at pb jungle and they had no problem with it
What brand would you recommend for a Tippmann A5? Haven't played in over a decade and thinking about picking one up to play with my nephew.
I have an A5 with a flatline barrel, always used marballizers. No chops, groupings were pretty tight.

They banned those colors too because those are common colors that people wear. And if i shoot someone wearing blue with blue paint its tougher to see if they were actually hit

Shoots good , but some private air ball fields have banned some HK paint because the fill stains and some shells are a pain to clean because of the way the shell breaks.

I like the defy brand stuff a lot. the hk tourney grade is supposed to be descent I don't use it tho, graffiti always has been good tho I think now you can get a better breakability of ball for 60. always use the empire evil stuff instead of the 5 star as gi sportz team not sure why not my call tho. the d3fy practice paint for 35 a case is a great deal and the stuff shoots straight, not the best breakability but at that price point I dont expect much, to get a rope out of some cheap practice paint is good. their 45 a case shoots straight and breaks well.
I have a question can a tippmann Sierra one / Project salvo shoot graffiti paintball??
In Germany you are not allowed to use red or even reddish colors on most fields. Regardless of whether it is the shell or the fill. No red, no pink, no orange, sometimes even no purple. Green, white, blue and yellow are the colors that are actually always okay. But I'm tired of buying paint and getting randomly forbidden colors, so I always use field paint..
The problem is a ton of fields are pedaling shit quality paint for top shelf prices and requiring their fields to be FPO. When the cost of the paint is extremely low.
My A5 shoots redemption pro with no chop, maybe I'm lucky or something. My Fenix handles it good too....
#PBQT Do lighter, upgraded bolts make a big difference on newer guns? is $30 to $50 dollars a reasonable gamble on an upgraded bolt on an Axe 2.0? I have seen numerous reviews saying every available bolt for the Axe is the best bolt (and the worst) and now I can't decide which, if any, to get.
You still play with your axe? I have an Axe 2.0 and I've used many different types of paint and I break paint of all types. Idk if I'm the problem or if others are having similar results.

Hey brad should i buy a spire 3 or a level loader. I’m 13 and have been playing for 2 months and i have a rize maxxed. I have friends who have the loader, but I’ve hear that the spire is better. If you could respond and help me out it would be appreciated. Thanks
For sure the Spire III is better, it is the best hopper ever. I really like the LVL though too, I would go with which ever one fits your budget the best.

I know I’m a year late but I still have a question so mid range guns like the mini gs and proto rise can handle low and mid range paintballs
IAmNani _ Mini GS and Proto Rize can technically shoot any paint. I wouldn’t recommend super super brittle paint, Like NXL Event paint is a no go on a mid range electronic marker.
No one in my town sells paintballs or the air. Been so for like 3-5 years
I actually had a monsterball 'ring my bell' if you will at a BYOP big game. it didn't knock me out by any means, but was well above and beyond what a paintball hit had ever felt like before, and left me with a nasty bump on my dome. I always saw monsterball as a danger to paintballers that had no place in the industry. A real shameful display.

all local fields around me only allow GI paint which is fine by me because 2 star works best for my 98 and my wallet. There is one field near me that are so extreme on their rule of only using GI paint that they only want you to use "their GI paint". The worse part about it is they sell 2 star GI paint for 4-5 star GI paint prices. Plus I believe all the employees there are pot heads. Walked in a year or 2 ago to get a ball latch for my Tippmann 98 just before they was about to close and a few employees and other guys was walking off the field and they all smelt like they just smoked up one and one of them walked behind the counter and started stripping down to his boxers right in front of me and other people there. I seriously need to give that place a bad review if they have a place to do it online
