As we continue the series in the long anticipation for the 40th anniversary of Wrestlemania, up next is Wrestlemania 17. It took place on April 1st, 2001 at the Astrodome in Houston, Texas infront of 67,925 fans that brought in a $3.5 million gate and an impressive pay-per-view buyrate of 1,040,000.
It was the first Wrestlemania after the purchase of WCW, and the first to see a rematch to a Wrestlemania main event featuring Stone Cold Steve Austin facing off against WWF Champion The Rock. We provide a modified version of an alternate card where the focus is mostly on the main event.

Not gonna lie, Triple H vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin in the main event of WrestleMania 17 would've been a LEGENDARY match & would've made my childhood dream match come true. It's truly sad that they never wrestled each other at a WrestleMania before.
