YD-2 is a typical YOKOMO RWD RC drift car, which is early launched in 2016. Time passed, YOKOMO has developed different versions of YD-2 to reflect the maximum potential of this chassis. In every version of YD-2, it has brought me a lot of power, confidence and joy to exert in every RC drift world competitions. So, YD-2 left a very deep impression on me.
Until YD-2ZX is launched, its unique philosophy, lightweight and flexible design rewrite the concept of weight transfer in RC drift.
I want to make use of this video to explore the highest limits of a fully optioned YD-2ZX, outline the ultimate luxury look of YD-2ZX and draws YD-2 to a perfect end.

Timmy, you installed your Teams pistons inverted when the cap and diaphragm are in the standard up position. If you rotate the shock upside down then you would invert the piston cap. Cheers from Mt. Fuji Japan
Good spot👍🏻It actually depends on driver’s preference. Pistons inverted or not depending on what track surface and layout and choosing the right suspension setup for specific track. Teams pistons provide good options for driver to adjust compression and rebound speed😊
Very nice video, btw i am not sure about my suspension setup, i have veeery soft coils in the front and a little harder in the back and dont know what the better is, should i run it super soft, medium or hard
You could go another step and do a Reve-D mc1 conversion and rhino racing diff. Even so great build 👏
Can you explain me what you have done, in previous video you build yd2zx kit and here you rebuild this with what kind of parts and from what brand
sweet video timmy, may I ask what bar you have your front lower arms on and camber? cheers I just built a exiis full optioned but trying to get it dialed in.
Thank you very much! The bar which I am using is aluminium 30mm rod end adapter with around 10 deg camber.

Hi, im new to this drifting rc car, on a survey to buy yokomo brand, need your help to elaborate which one is better either yd-2zx, yd-2rx and md-1.0 chassis? And can you elaborate what is the difference between this chassis? Thank you and appreciate your thought.
MD1.0 is lightweight design than YD-2ZX & RX, weight distribution is more at the rear, fast acceleration and transition is more freely. RX motor position is designed at the back, good for high speed track. While ZX good for medium to low speed track.

If you are saying 100 ZX limited editions, it has special new lightweight slide rack rail design. In theory, steering response is faster. With ‘Teams’ parts, it is ultimate RC drift collection!
bro, you forgot ceramic ball bearing in the differential
Not full option, still missing titanium pillowbals and lightweight steering rack (slider).

Yea… but it’s not fully optioned… you are missing the brass differential case.

最終的にはESCとプロポのセッティングなんだよね。組み上げやアライメントはある程度説明書通りに組めば大差無い‼️その後なんだけど誰もそこを明かさないし公表しない闇だね‼️極端に言えばだいたい組み上がってたら後はESCとプロポセッティングでどうにでもなる。
