- Addiction Rc Silvia S15 Alive Hoon body build. Made some mistakes with this build. I was trying to do a different color scheme but made a mistake by mixing the color and too much layers. But still happy with the final outcome.

Excellent build and paint scheme. If you haven’t tried it already, may I suggest having a try at using Tamiya PS53 (flake) as the initial layer and then what ever colours you want…it gives the ‘sparkle’ effect and really pops the colours when the light hits it. I’ve used it on a few of my shells (Carrera GT, F40) and have had some great compliments. P.s I don’t drift, but race 1/10 Tamiyas on an out door asphalt track. You’ve inspired me to get an S15 shell no hahaha great job my RC brother 😎👏👏👏

I want this body shell. It is amazing.
The only thing that always confuses me about this is the rigidity of the plastic case, but still cool.
This body is made by AddictionRC which makes one of the best lexan body out in the market.

I used Tamiya PS-31 smoke. I did 2 thin coats for headlights, brake lights, windows and windshield. if that’s what you are asking.
What did you use to mount the front bumper and the lip kit all around?
Did you cut the vents for the hood and front bumper?
I used thin double sided tape from amazon to mount the bumper and lip. And i just cut the front bumper not the hood vents.

Hi,
you never had any issues with the double sided tape joint in the body? since you painted inside the body, the tape is actually glued into the paint and not in the lexan body directly.
As long as you clean the body properly then the lexan paint will adhere very well it will not peel off. So far all the pieces are still intact.
Hey! Decal application was well done. is that how it's done by the manufacturer? Or, did you come up with that method?
Just followed the design pattern of the real car from a photo. But for the the application, I just did what works for me. Maybe there is a better way of applying decals.

Amazing Build 10/10 , BTW , I see You run Yokomo E suspension Mount on the rear , Do You run two E Mounts on the rear and 2 B Mounts on the front ?

How…? How do you do a body PERFECTLY? Lol. I messed up mine so bad. I don’t know why, but when I painted a white backing coat, the backing coat went over the main color. I did everything right, but now I have a metallic blue onevia with random white streaks (where the paint bled through).
In every layer of paint I always put the body up on a light source to check if I have an even coverage of paint all over the body. That way you can tell where you need to add more layers.

The cricut joy is very easy to use and fast. This is my first time using it for this project and it’s just perfect for what I need.

Can I ask, what is the glue like substance you applied after painting, visible at 13.47. I understand it's the protect the paint from scratches but I can't figure out what substance it is
At 13:47 i was installing the wing.

@@justmarvelouz7482 does it tear paint off if it comes off?
All the parts are still together. As long as you properly prep the body before painting and make sure to use lexan paint it will stick there real good. Never had issues with all the bodies i have done before.
