    i really appreciate the use of anaesthetics to reduce compound fractures.
    I've had the same fracture as Antonio and the orthopaedic doctors replaced it without any kinda of sedation.
    The worst pain ever.

      I badly broke my wrist. Hospital protocol made it be suspended from above to try to correct it. The most painful procedure of my life. It didn’t work & I had a plate put in the next day. It must be so much more painful with larger bones.

    I have been in the hospital probably by 30 times I have been in the hospital probably by 30 times sense 2005. I have also endured for brain surgery to remove a large and aggressive tumor on my pituitary gland. Unfortunately, the surgeons had to remove the gland as well. That has been causing me some pretty, severe psychiatric issues. Living without a pituitary gland is extremely difficult. That is the master gland of the body. I’m just so happy to be alive today. Thank you God.

    Wonderful hospital. Fractured my femur and patella in February 2023. After a six hour wait for the ambulance ( Friday night, non life threatening) got on the green whistle, no memory of leaving the apartment block where I fell. No memory of arriving at the RMH. Wonderful trauma doctors and nurses. After one week I was transferred to my little local rural hospital. Seven weeks all up in hospital before getting home. #ProtectMedicare. Hardly any out of pocket expenses. Universal HealthCARE is not socialism. It's a humañ right.

    I once broke my tibula and fibula when I fell at home. That was very very painful and required intense rehab. It was outpatient. However, that pain was unbearable. That’s nothing though compared to what I have been through. I have several pre-existing conditions, some potentially fatal. I am also dealing with pretty bad psychiatric conditions. My doctor once told me that I’m not supposed to be alive today. I have been called a miracle. That’s thanks to God and to these wonderful doctors and nurses who worked.so hard to save my life. After major spinal surgery last year and a couple of others two years before that, I can certainly say that Ketamine is effective in preventing memory of major painful incidences. Post operative I had complications the first time around and woke up feeling nothing in my right leg and in agony. Nurses were very quick to get me into a K hole. So much better than suffering through it! Feeling for those who have experienced this kind of pain. But glad the for Ketamine!

    • @2eleven48
      @2eleven48 10 місяців тому +1

      @@jubileechambers2604 ...It disturbs me that viewers can't hold a thought in their head during commercial breaks. Clearly, this commercial series in Australia needs to remind people of what they've just watched, as seems also the case with American series. As it happens, I don't have a television and just watch what is offered on you-tube, so that's why maybe I get somewhat exercised by this constant reiteration due to the advertisements having been removed. Hey, thanks for taking the time to reply. Keep well. Robert, uk.

      The reiteration isn't so much a reminder, but to fill the air time, it's filller. They can cover less action, essentially do less, if they are constantly repeating it. There may only be 20-30 minutes of show but they can stretch it out to fill an hour time slot on tv with commercials, more comercials more money. At least on UA-cam you can fast forward.

I make a real effort to be nice, but when I get nauseous, I’m the nastiest, meanest creature ever born of a mother. Nausea is my worst. I lik3 motorcycles however. There is 2 reasons I will never ride one. 1, duringbghe Sturgis rally in 2000 I watched one bike get rear ended, the person on the back had her brain spattered all over the hood and pavement. 2, driving home near Salt Lake, in slow traffic there was a about a 5 mile long red steak on the highway. Then it turned chunks of flesh and limbs. The bike rear ended a semi at high speed and th3 driver didn't even know. Drug the bike and what was left of the body......

    • @miaaimeerose3131
      @miaaimeerose3131 9 місяців тому +3

      A consultant is the top most doctor, they have completed all their specialist training and they are who people call for a consult, hence consultant. A registrar is a doctor who is in the middle of their specialist training, they haven’t completed it but have done enough that they can supervise the more junior doctors. Essentially any title other than doctor just means they have more or specialised training compared to the average doctor

      I’m also a nurse and I find your comment unkind, unprofessional and unfounded. It is out of your scope of practice to diagnose her as a sociopath. I found her to be a nurse I would want to work with in the ED because she is obviously a critical thinker who can stay calm in a crisis. I think she’s a good nurse and loves her patients and finds it more important to continue assessing in her mind and making sure that she’s done everything she can, which may come off as not good bedside manner. My partner is an obgyn and wouldn't want to give it to a mother or a new baby, either.

      If you seen the YEAR this was filmed in they started this show in 2020 the year is wrong here but they let them film at the height in melbourne which was in lockdown for about 5 months... Depending on what hospital or place there are still certain parts of the hospital that require them, such as the ED and the wards. Would you walk into a ward where a really sick person is and then make them sicker? no.
