Ian is a lovely registrar, very kind and caring. I would be so happy to have someone like him caring for me in the A&E. My experiences here in the states have been far from positive. You have conquered mountains Ian. Cheers to you and to all the Ians of the world.

My son is autistic, and when we got the diagnosis, it explained so many things, just like James' mum said. James has a bright future ahead! Chris is so fun and happy - he makes me smile! Ian is a love, a fantastic person whom you'd love to know. Jim and Terry are so close, and they already miss Carole so much. They will see her again. ❤

ixnay on "high-functioning", it's outdated, and if used should only be used by an autistic person in reference to themselves. thanks and have a nice day xx

James is a great child. I know a woman that he reminds me of. They have some of the same characteristics. She lives life as good as she can. I’m sure James will do well. Rest in peace, Carol. She took on a big role in life at such a young age. She sounds like she would’ve been a wonderful person to have known.

The USAmerican humourist James Thurber had his eye severely damaged when he was six years old. He and his brother were playing William Tell! He got an arrow in his left eye, and the eye eventually had to be removed. Then his right eye suffered sympathetic problems and he was left with very little vision. It's always interesting to me that people suffering like this manage to be humourists.

It's sad that after getting diagnosed as ASD with learning disorders as an adult, I can tell who other neurodivergent people are by the way that society has written them/us off. As soon as the Dr. said he was told he wouldn't amount to anything in life, I knew he was neurodivergent.

Making a joke out of it now, is his coping mechanism. So is the rotating colourful beard. The pain is there inside, and he's old school so deals with it himself. He seems like a very sweet man.

I LOVE these A&E shows. But, why does it say it's a new episode when I've already seen it? I always give them Thumbs Up. Why would a 'new' episode appear in my UA-cam acct when I've seen it & no thumbs up appears? Ideally I'd like to see them in order but it's hit n miss how they appear.

I’m sorry, but I’ve forgotten the man’s name with the dyed beard, but I loved hearing his stories about being the youngest of 9 kids 😊. My husband was the oldest of 7 and my brother in law was the middle child of 9 children and I loved hearing their stories also 😊. I saw the light in his eyes fade when he mentioned his father 😢. I love your humor!

God bless all of you ❤🙏❤️

They say no such thing. There is a massive difference between having some habits that are similar to autistic behaviors, and the experience of actually having autism. Autism means those behaviors have an actual, negative impact on the person's life. It's not all an advantage. My fiancé and I both have it, and we have legitimate struggles with communicating, reading people, anxiety, and managing certain aspects of daily life. To say that "everyone is a little bit autistic shows ignorance of the struggles autistic people actually navigate, and diminishes our experiences.

You have a point, but it wasn't so long ago that the UK didn't have an adequate support process in place to respond to, and shelter, battered women and children, especially small communities. I've long said the UK are slow to keep up with community resources, and that's an example. Women didn't have any place to go and it was invariably kept quiet, because living in a small community, everyone knows your business, so instead of reaching out for help, victim shaming is in place so the women try to keep it all a secret.

I was irritated that Terry's wife told him not to go to the hospital because there was nothing he could do for Jim. Of course he should have gone; to be there as emotional support his brother AND his niece. Terry needed to be with his little brother and niece, which is why she probably called him whilst following the ambulance in. Terry's wife - thoughtless.

When I was 6 my sis threw a ballpoint pen at me, and it hit me in the eye. I remmember us just going "oh...." because she was 7 and we where left alone in a car while my mum ran some errands (this was the 90's). so about 20min later she came back and it was just like "mom. I can't see" and she went "oh stop joking" turned around, saw my eye and was like "oh fuck". off to the GP who sendt us to the hospital and had to stay there for 2 weeks xD My sis hit right on the line of the colour and the white part of the eye - and it popped open like an eggyolk running into the white. They got the top eye doc there to stitch it back up (he was on a cabin trip with his family, but came back just for me), saved my vision and now all I got is a small dent in the colour part. Eye docs/surgeons are honestly magicians. My sis felt bad for about a week, but when we where 5 and 6 I ran with scissors, fell on top of her and cut her pinky finger off - so like, I think it was Karma. They also re-attached that finger with no permanent damage to it.

To James and his loving mom:
Just so you know, God loves each and every one of use because he had a hand in our creation.
All of us were created to be the person we are; our looks, our physical abilities, our mental abilities. Creativity, sluggishness, fast runner, slow eater.
Everything about each of us was created by God and he loves all of us for who we are!
So don't worry if you aren't the fastest runner or eater. I'll bet you're better at other things!
Recognize what you do well and expand on that! Get better at what you do best and let go of the things you don't do so well!
I can do short bursts of running very well, but I'm absolutely awful at running down my street let alone doing a 5K!
So, I play tennis instead of long-distance running.
Think about what you do well and do those things.
