For some reason there is always, ALWAYS someone who decides at the last minute that they have to drive somewhere during a hurricane. My father worked for Bellsouth for over 40 years. During hurricanes we had access to a very strong building owned by Bellsouth and could stay there during storms because my dad would have to work during hurricanes. One time right before the storm hit my dad turned to my mom and said...."watch, the storm is about to make landfall so I guarantee at least 3 or 4 people will suddenly feel the urge to drive somewhere and that's exactly what happened. 😂 For some reason I always remember that moment. They all got in their cars and rushed to wherever they "had to" go. 🤷
It's Florida. I'm assuming someone told them hurricanes were a "woke" lie. On the plus side, Darwin is waiting to sort them out of the gene pool. So there's that at least.
I don’t know where we lost our common sense, people just keep gettin more dumb by the minute in this country.. I pray everyone to be safe in this storm even the idiots driving in this as well
This is a beautiful region, I used to live in the area. This area has gorgeous historical homes. For over a decade there were no hurricane's in the region. Until Hurricane Irma years ago. The Carolina's are getting hit too. So are those people dumb too? I have lived in CA and we had 3 serious earthquakes, lived in the NE and survived Hurricane Sandy. Live down south and we had our first major tornado. So tell me where is safe?
From 1960: The worst flood in years hit eight counties in Central Florida following a three-day storm that dumped as much as 25 inches of rain in some parts of the state. The area around Tampa suffered the most and 8,000 persons have had to flee their homes inundated by the swollen Hillsborough River. People in the fashionable Forest Hills section have faced three floods in a little over a year and many complained because the city of Tampa failed to solve their drainage problems after a flood last summer. Many are still paying on loans for house repairs they had to make. It will take several days before all evacuated families can return home.
People in Florida are crazy for driving in this storm 😂
