Consuela is a beast. I can't believe some of the spots we made it into this weekend. Most importantly she kept us and our passengers safe, no hiccups. I tell her what to do and she does it, couldn't ask for more. Thank you guys for giving me the opportunity to be able to help these people.

Hey Garrett, I don’t know if you’ll see this message, but Chief Pressley from the SC National Guard (the pilot of the chinook you took a photo in) is a great friend of mine and I’d be happy to link the two of you up if you want to go up and get some flight time in one of their chinooks or Lakotas . I can sponsor you to get on base if need be.

Yup, you don't ever diss people for helping, ESPECIALLY if you aren't. As the old joke goes, some people would complain if their nuts were in a vise. ;-/ We have Milton pointing right at my house right now, though the cone is large, so who knows, really. Took a tree @ 31k in Charlie, which is literally nothing compared to what some of these poor people are going through. We didn't have power for two weeks, but all the stuff that is really necessary to live was readily available, including gas for the genny. Fl seems to be more aware of what hurricane damage looks like, and we seem to be at least a bit more ready, and of course, we don't have mountains to contend with. I commend Cleetus, and everyone else up their helping out. What they DO NOT need, though, is all the channels I see recommended with, "We drove through such and such area, to see the hurricane damage". That is MUCH WORSE than useless, using up the limited resources that they have for sightseers. Those people ARE attention whores.

As a former Blackhawk crewchief who has flown on countless search and rescue missions in peace time and combat, I promise you that you and the other civilian aircraft stepped up big time. Thank you for doing that. I have friends in that area that were helped by one of the other aircrew.

I have been a professional firefighter for going on 25 years in rural northern Az . The area averages about 6500 ft elevation just for little back story. I watched your rescue video and just wanted to say you are an amazing pilot. I have worked around AZDPS helicopters most of my career 110 degree temps at extrem elevation. Most of the pilots are ex military. In my opinion you could hang with any of them, I have seen them do things that scared me on the ground. Great job, and thank you for selflessly helping those in need.

I live about 20 minutes from the Asheville area you were in. The flooding is beyond horrible but me and my family were lucky to have escaped with scratches compared to most. Just got internet back to see this video but wanted to say what you did is amazing I’ve been watching your videos for a while now and to see this pop up as one of the first videos was a needed positive. Thank you for that and all you’ve done saving lives and bringing awareness.

Mad respect for you, Garrett. Not only did you take your spotless new helicopter out into the mud (and puke) from the get-go, you were a true humanitarian while doing it. You also showed that social media is useful for things other than hateful arguments and ego-centric "influencer" videos. You used your "influence" to help those in need and create some good in this world. And all the while you remain humble and thankful for the millions of folks who have supported you and your crazy projects over the past few years. You not only have an awesome chopper, but you've also got an amazing wife, family, and crew to go with it. Hell yeah, brother!

Every radio station in the area mentioned “Cleetus and his blue helicopter”. I’m from Mills River and only a few years ago came to Charlotte. Thank you for taking care of my community. The over abundance of humility and love you have for others is infectious. We’ll always be indebted to you. It’ll be a long road ahead, but thanks to people like you, we can do it with a smile on our face knowing someone has our backs.
